A Brief History of Gallifrey Romana Holmes
Alice Michaelson met John Holmes when the two were 21 years old. They were both college students spending a semester abroad at University College of London. They didn’t meet in class, but rather at a Doctor Who convention in 1993. They returned and completed their college educations at their respective Universities back in the United States, but remained in a long distance relationship. They married at age 23 in 1995 and two years later welcomed their first daughter, Gallifrey Romana Holmes. They hadn't really thought about children, and Alice didn't even realize she was pregnant with Gallifrey until she was 6 months along. But the moment they saw their oldest daughter, they realized that a baby was exactly what they wanted. Over the next seventeen and a half years, Alice gave birth to ten more children. Triplets Luke, Leia and Cassie (although Cassie had spent 16 years with her biological aunt, hidden from her family maliciously), Sherlock, Sirius, Brigadier, Tyrion, Buffy, Danaerys and the baby of the family born on Christmas eve 2014, Arwen Noelle. Alice and John loved their children more than anything else in the world. It was why they had so many. They wanted to share that love with as many children as possible. Also they were like rabbits when it came to sex, and nearly always forgot to use protection.
Over the years, Alice and John continued to attend different conventions such as comic con and many others, usually with their children in tow. Their large brood allowed for many group costumes that won awards on several occasions. Their oldest, Gallifrey, one an award for the best costume at the age of 13. She was dressed as a female Loki. The year they dressed as the cast of Game of Thrones, a picture was taken that went viral on the internet.
Like her parents, Gallifrey married at age 25 to her high school sweetheart, Felix Watson. Five years later, tragedy struck the Holmes family. On October 31st, 2027 Alice and John Holmes were killed in a car accident on their way home from visiting their newest grandchild. Their three youngest children; Buffy, Dany and Noelle were still minors, aged 16, 15 and 13. Wanting them to stay in Evanston and be raised in their family’s home, Gallifrey obtained custody of her three youngest sisters, despite the fact that she had two adopted children of her own already.
The elementary school art teacher, along with her husband and two infants moved into the house where she was raised, ready to continue off where her parents left off, raising her three youngest sisters and trying to give them as normal a life as possible.
