“No I do not. I think they’re gonna keep it as quiet as possible for as long as possible.”
“Yes. That was sad. I hate to hear when people pass here. Especially since most are so far away from home. Their families must feel terrible then.”

“Lure people in with stories of the past? Hm…that would have to target a certain type of person. Unless they lured people in with promises of a warm place to stay with lots and lots of food then lock them away forever and ever to wander endlessly throughout the various hallways until they expire. That would be very frightening and spooky.”

“Alright. I’ve heard that more people go missing from the Castle then is actually reported... and that some haven’t come back because they were killed. Is that true?”

Turning the page in her book, Lana looked up as the sound of her door opening and closing registered. She wasn’t expecting anybody. She wasn’t really in the mood to deal with anyone. So whoever it was, better be ready to turn right back around and leave the way they came in. Placing her book down, she pulled her sweater closer around her, moving towards the entrance way. The first thing she noticed about her intruder was her red hair. This was the first person with that color hair that Lana had seen here. Seeing as the girl had her eyes closed, Lana cleared her throat to get her attention. “May I ask what the hell you are doing in my room?” She really didn’t care for the answer. She just wanted the girl gone. Somehow, though, she had a feeling that it wasn’t going to be that easy to get rid of this red haired stranger.
“Oh shoot. I’m sorry I didn’t realize this was a bedroom. I’m so lost here and I uhh, well I shouldn’t be here.” Allie explained trying not to give too much away. “I’m not dangerous I promise I’m just.... normal... Common.. uhhh” Allie trailed off having trouble with words today. Which is usually something that didn’t happen. “I love that cardigan.” Allie said looking at the sweater Lana was wearing. She was surprised more people didn’t recognize her here.
“Oh Yes. Please. I would love to hear everything. I am after all very very curious as to what goes on up there. The people... what they do... I hear lots and lots of stories but most of my sources aren’t known to me. So It’s hard to know what is and what is not true.”

“Well since it’s obviously too late to cover my hair or find a wig I suppose I should just come out with it. Yes. I am the gossip reporter and no. I’m not gonna write anything about you or this.”

“Uhh yea. Someone like me. I’m not the purest character in the Castle. I guess you could say. Although I can imagine it does get worse here?... Wait... Why are you looking at me like that? Is it my hair?”

“Are you sure? There really aren’t a lot of redheads around here.”
“This? This ain’t red kid. This is ..... well... it’s “ Allie cleared her throat and grinned. “Well it’s strawberry.” She muttered. Obviously a lie. Strawberry was a vast understatement. “I’m pretty sure I’m not.... that.. uhh yeah.”

“Yes. It is quite the tragic place. I am sure if the walls could talk too they would have a lot to say and a lot to tell the world. The secrets and plots and events that happened for hundreds of years. Told objectively.”
“That would be fascinating. I don’t think I would ever leave. Oh my gosh, what if it became a trap?” Allie asked leaning forward a little. The idea was exciting and wonderful at the same time and for a moment Allie wished that walls could talk.

Allie had not been in the castle long. She bribed the scullery maid to let her into the back entrance near the kitchen. It was a pretty far shot from where most of the action was but with a little tenacity who knows what would happen. Allie wandered from the kitchen toward the main halls of the Castle where people where coming and going everywhere. Some looked as if they belonged others didn’t. She wanted to talk to everyone and find out more about what was happening but it would probably be a bad idea to do that. So instead she just wandered around. Perhaps she could corner someone where she wouldn’t get caught. As she wandered around the castle she was coming up a hall in a relatively quiet part of the Castle when she heard men talking. They were coming from the other direction. She pressed her back to the wall and listened. They were carrying weapons. that much she could tell as she peeked a gander at them from around the pillar. Swearing under her breath she looked around and spotted a door not to far away from her. She looked again and then made a beeline for the door. She slipped in smoothly and shut it behind her. Resting her back to the door. Allie breathed a sigh of relief.
