Iāve been on a bit of Hoganās Heroes fix lately and Iām back at 1x23. Kinch says āthe bank foreclosed on Mary Noble, Backstage Wifeā, which is a line Iāve never understood in the past 16 years. Iād always figured it was an Americanism I didnāt understand and for some reason just never bothered to look it up??
Well, today I finally did! It turns out āBackstage Wifeā was a popular radio soap opera back in the day and the main character was a woman called Mary Noble. You all probably knew that already, but Iāve been sitting here giggling about the fact that Carterās a sucker for soap operas for the past 20 minutes. He would love modern day reality TV.
