Helen Keller cries out for her Guru Anne Sullivan 1972
WHY IâM VOTING FOR BERNIE SANDERS With so much political turmoil, anger and confusion I wanted to explain in a very simple, direct way why Iâm voting for Bernie Sanders. Iâll take this opportunity to admit Iâve never voted once in my life. This is the first time Iâve ever done it and the reason Iâm doing it is because I think that this is one of the most important political elections weâve everfaced. Iâm going to say why Iâm voting for Bernie Sanders because itâs very simple. If you think about it, I believe youâll also agree. Iâm voting for Bernie Sanders because if he is our 45th president then I can be rest assured that Larry David will be on Saturday Night Live for at least the next four years. Letâs discuss Larry Davidâs qualifications: 1) He was the co-creater of Seinfeld. 2) George Costanza was based on Larry David. 3) After Seinfeld, he created Curb Your Enthusiasm. 4) He introduced people to JB Smoove. 5) Sour Grapes is the cornerstone that was rejected. 6) He quite SNL and than went back and acted like he didnât quit. 7) He did an HBO movie, Clear History starring Jon Hamm who played Don Draper on Mad Men. This alone cements him as my future Commander in Chief. 8) Bernie Sanders sounds like Larry David imitating George Steinbrenner. 9) Larry David was almost beat up in New York in the 70âs because someone wanted a bite of his tuna fish sandwich and he wouldnât give it to him. 10) Larry David has quite possibly made more people laugh in his sixty-eight years than Hillary Clinton. So thatâs why Iâm voting for Bernie Sanders. LETâS MAKE SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE GREAT AGAIN!

Once upon a time, a gnome was digging in a cavern and he happened upon a wee child with golden hair. She was fast asleep and would not wake. Realizing that she was dead, tears filled his eyes for the gnome was a gentle and kind sort. He carefully scooped her into his arms and climbed out of the cavern into the bright light of day.
In front of him was a tall, beautiful pine tree. He laid the golden child beneath it and pulled out a box filled with many different flowers from the area that grew in abundance, placing it next to the body. The blonde child was wearing a long, white blouse with a silver star upon itâs breast. The gnome smiled and then reached into his work bag and pulled out a wet stone and a long, sharp knife. He promptly cut off her head and along with the flowers he picked for seasoning, he placed it gently in his trusty cooking pot, stoking the fire.
Soon the golden stew was ready. He ladled some out into his old, wooden bowl. As he started to eat, the moon set and all was dark in the forest. The gnome continued to eat for the soup was warm and nourishing. And then he heard a peal of laughter. He turned and the pine tree started to glow many colours from a source that he could not imagine.
And then the most beautiful voice he had ever heard asked him, âDearest gnome, does my broth soothe you?â
The gnome looked around but could see no one. The voice asked again, âWould you like dessert? I know after a lovely meal there is nothing better than a most welcome treat.â
Turning around before him stood the blonde girl smiling with her head back on her shoulders. Now she wore a long, white robe and the silver star that had been on her blouse was in the young girlâs hand glowing ever so bright. The gnome nodded humbly and said, âIf you wish, misses I would gladly accept your dessert.â
The blonde childâs face lit up and she handed the gnome the silver star which she broke in half keeping one for herself. They sat before the tree and ate the silver star and then the gnome fell fast asleep.
When he awoke the wee girl was gone. He yawned and stretched and grabbing the cooking pot, he looked into the liquid and saw the reflection. He was no longer a gnome but was in fact the blonde child. He found himself ever so hungry. So the blonde little girl that used to be a gnome ate the cooking pot and then the pine tree and then the forest and then she ate herself and had the most beautiful dream you could ever dream long, long ago. In a land full of boulders.

Everyone has a Mother and they all have the same name.
Shirley is the best mommy in the universe!
Snow falls as Anne looks out her attic window. Below her, Brown Goblins prepare for another book burning. Their hideous grunts and screams fill the afternoon. Soon the air is black with fire, soot and ash. The Brown Goblins howl triumphantly.
The next morning Anne hears a commotion outside her attic window. She takes a sip of chestnut tea and looks out at the scene below. She sees the Brown Goblins stacking more books for another bonfire. She takes another sip of chestnut tea and thinks, âI thought they burnt all the books yesterday.â
But then she remembers Brown Goblins always save one book so they can do a reprint. Brown Goblins love to howl and scream. Once they screamed and screamed and screamed until all the birds with purple feathers fell from the sky dead. She shakes her head and goes back to eating her moon pudding made from scratch.
Anne is wrapped in her blankets sound asleep having a most curious dream that sheâs in a city that sheâs never visited before in front of an old, tall apartment building. She sees a hideous Brown Goblin slowly walking up to the front door and his arm is wrapped around a young girl who every so often kisses the Goblin which makes him grunt and hiss.
Anne is so disgusted by this, she drops to one knee, pulls out a gun and unloads it into the Brown Goblinâs back. The Brown Goblin falls to the ground. Hideous gas and screams fill the air as the Brown Goblin dies. As Anne starts to load her gun again, the girl runs up, thrusting pen and paper into her hands asking for an autograph. Anne politely signs it and then looks up into the beaming face of herself.
Sirens fill the night air as Brown Goblins start to surroundâŠ

THE TRULY DEMENTED SERIAL: THE WHITE RHINOCEROS
(Pleasant review by comic critic Rob Clough http://highlowcomics.blogspot.com/)
Josh Simmons and The Partridge in the Pear Tree: These two issues saw parts two and three of the truly demented serial "The White Rhinoceros". Two people (one of them apparently being 1970s Paul Lynde in full "Uncle Arthur" mode from the TV show Bewitched) find themselves in a terrifying and brightly colored forest full of what a couple of children call "racial magic". What Simmons and collaborator "Shaun Partridge" do here is transpose the most virulent of racial slurs into a fantasy world where those words have a completely different (and usually either neutral or positive) meaning. This world is quite dangerous for the newcomers, who lack the ability to negotiate and understand their new environment, though both try to figure it out as best as they can. I hope that someone is going to pick this serial up, because it's some of Simmons' finest work, with his near-psychedelic use of color in particular being a revelation.

VIETNAM IS OVER IF YOU WANT IT! Vietnam is a State of Mind. But what State of Mind? Is it eating a delicious bahn mi sandwich or is it the Tet Offensive? I guess it's up to YOU to decide. Don't be a DRAFT DODGER. That draft is the wind of God who wants to slide up your nostrils and help end YOUR Inner CONFLICT.
The goal of VIETNAM YOGA is to unite the North and South. After ALL brand detergent's slogan is, GOD IS CONFLICT - GOD IS RESOLVE. But when you're in a firefight you forget that. What it comes down to is do you want a bowl of B'n Th-At Ch-l GiU or do you want to be that guy being shot in the head wallpaper from that movie, "Stardust Memories' by Louise Lasser's ex-husband?

"You know why I chose this man? So crudely etched, smell of shit hot upon his breath? Because this world is filled with the grotesque. And the divine. They exist together, two sides of a coin. You cannot have one, absent threat of the other. And words cannot convey the true nature of this. It must be experienced. It must be felt. And never forgotten."
