Rami had actually wanted to make a quick getaway from the other man, because as much as it was okay to get a black eye every once in a while - he still felt a slight bit embarrassed by the fact that he was caught. He froze at the feel of the larger hand on his shoulder, biting back on his lip for a moment before letting out a heavy breath of air, turning to face Uhaa once again. Most of what the younger had said went in one ear and out the other, he was in too much of a hurry to excuse him and go find somewhere else to hide out until it all went away. His hand moved away from his eye, revealing the black and blue that rested there, “stiff shot.” That’s pretty much all he could say to what happened to his eye, “was kinda hoping I could avoid people for a moment”
“Ah, hell, happens to everyone, man. Not a problem.” Uhaa waved away the sight of the bruise. It was nothing new in their line of work, but he could sense something was off about Rami. Considering he was normally a ray of sunshine, it was pretty easy to tell when something was off about him, but Uhaa always tried to be smart about the situation he was in and so he changed the subject in an effort to keep the older man from being embarrassed about it. “If you that determined to avoid people, the room three doors down ought to be empty. Least it was when I walked by it on the way in here. ‘Less someone popped in when I wasn’t watchin’, but I don’t think they did.” He clapped Rami on the shoulder again. “Ain’t no one gonna bother ya. I’ll even guard the door for ya if ya want me to.”
