Since 2014, Trevor Paglen has exhibited a sculpture he and his collaborator Jacob Appelbaum call the Autonomy Cube, a minimalist 1.25-foot block of almost invisibly translucent, 1.5-inch-thick acrylic that houses a custom-made Wi-Fi router. When any gallery visitor connects to that router, it redirects their data over the encrypted and anonymized Tor network.
But it also simultaneously serves as a Tor relay—one of the thousands of volunteer computers that bounce the traffic of Tor users through layers of encrypted proxies to make the software’s anonymizing properties possible.

Alexander Semenov is the head of the scientific divers team at the White Sea Biological Station (WSBS) in Russia. Which is located near the Polar Circle on the coast of Kandalaksha Bay of the White Sea. Graduating from Lomonosov’s Moscow State University in the department of Zoology, Alexander specialized in the study of invertebrate animals.
Photography began only as a hobby and now plays a major role in his work as marine biologist.
“The conditions need to be just right for it to work. The sea must be calm, without any wind, sky must be with beautiful white clouds, jellies must be beautiful (not all jellyfishes of same species are really beautiful) and located very close to the surface and you must hold you breath for a few minutes to get close to the jelly and make a shot - otherwise your bubbles can lift the jelly and they certainly will make waves on the surface.”

It has come to my attention that there are some people who don’t know about GuideGuide, which is my favorite Photoshop extension of all time.
It’s basically a handly lil tool for creating guides in Photoshop. It can easily calculate the midpoint of your document (horizontally and vertically), create margins based on any increment, (pixels, inches, even percent), create rows and columns with a variety of options, and lets you create custom sets for easy applying a bunch at once repeatedly (bleed borders for prints/comics anyone??). And best of all, delete all the guides with a quick press of a button (I’m lazy and hate going to drop down menus to clear them).
Best of all, it’s free
Now go forth and love guides again! \o/
