experience:  i've  been  rping  to  some  capacity  since  like  2010,  starting  on  tumblr  in  2010/11  in  group  rps  and  joining  indie  in  2012.  i'm  elderly  and  i've  been  here  a  long  time  in  a  lot  of  fandoms!  but  mostly  i  was  in  the  dc  comics  fandom  for  a  long  time.

preferred  roleplay  type:  mult-para  generally,  and  i  love  plotting.  but  i  never  expect  anyone  to  match  me,  because  sometimes  i  go  a  little  off  the  rails.  so  anything  from  a  paragraph  to  more  is  usually  what  i  like  to  go  with.  i  also  love  fake  rping  on  discord  or  fully  thread  writing  on  discord.

pet  peeves  &  dealbreakers:  god  modding  is  a  big  no  no.  bigotry  of  any  kind.  and  not  cutting  your  posts.

long  replies  or  short  replies:  i  take  40  years  to  reply  whether  i  write  9  paragraphs  or  1  so  i'm  always  game  for  whatever.  i  think  whatever  serves  the  thread.  sometimes  something  short  is  fun,  sometimes  something  long  and  in  depth  is  also  fun.  i  like  both.

best  time  to  write:  typically  weekend  mornings,  and  then  sporadically.  i'm  trying  to  get  my  grove  back  so  we'll  see.  i'm  hoping  to  get  to  a  point  i'm  writing  at  least  every  few  days!

are  you  like  your  muse:  in  some  ways  for  sure.  i  tend  to  gravitate  towards  characters  i  relate  to,  so  there  are  at  least  parts  of  myself  i  see  in  him.  i  think  his  drive  to  help  to  do  something  impossible,  and  help  people  is  something  i  relate  to  for  sure.  unfortunately  his  need  for  validation  and  praise  is  very  me.  i  can  happily  say  that  i  have  more  conviction  than  him  though.  my  boy  is  a  MESS.

heavy  brows  pinch  together  in  thought  as  his  gaze  follows  the  girl,  his  gloved  hands  frozen  in  time  as  he  follows  the  command  even  has  his  mind  reels.  if  it  wasn't  for  the  gun  in  the  other's  hand,  he  may  consider  what  the  tool  in  his  hand  could  do  to  ward  off  the  would-be  thief.  he  was  a  lot  of  things,  but  he  wasn't  stupid.  so  instead  his  attempts  to  think  on  his  feet,  assess  the  situation  to  the  best  of  his  ability.  what  was  she  here  for?  what  would  be  the  least  dangerous  for  her  to  leave  with?  jayce's  mind  flips  through  his  mental  inventory  as  his  gaze  studies  the  blue  haired  girl,  attempting  to  place  her  face.  where  had  he  seen  her  before?  had  he  seen  her  before?

“ okay  okay  ...  what  do  you  want? ”  he  asks,  flexing  his  hand  slightly  before  tightening  it  around  the  wrench.  /   @expow

“ viktor! ”   he  shouts  as  he  sprints  down  the  hall  of  the  academy,  his  breathing  heavy  with  exertion.  shoes  slide  slightly  as  he  rounds  a  corner,  almost  slipping  before  he  continues  to  run,  yelling  his  partner’s  name  yet  again.  his  voice  filled  with  excitement,  adrenaline.  only  as  he  busts  through  the  door  of  their  lab  and  sees  the  expression  on  viktor’s  face  does  it  register  what  he  might  look  like.  the  light  sheen  of  sweat  on  his  forehead,  his  messy  hair,  the  spark  in  his  eyes.  as  he  catches  his  breath  he  merely  holds  up  his  journal  and  leans  back  against  the  door  to  shut  it  behind  him.  a  smile  pulls  at  his  lips  as  he  holds  it  out  to  the  other.  “ i  think  i  figured  it  out. ”

“ i  think  ...  i  figured  it  out, ”  jayce  repeats,  breathing  the  words  out.  he  pushes  back  from  the  door  to  approach  the  other  man  she  he  opens  the  journal.  he  quickly  flips  through  the  pages  to  his  latest  breakthrough  before  holding  it  out  to  his  partner,  an  eagerness  sparkling  in  his  gaze.  /   @h3raud

sometimes  it’s  hard  to  believe  any  of  this  is  real.  that  they’d  been  able  to  actually  extract  the  dna,  that  they  could  fill  in  the  gaps…that  they’d  brought  dinosaurs  back.  it  shouldn’t  have  been  possible,  but  here  they  are.  living  the  proof  that  impossibility  is  just  a  word,  and  one  that  shouldn’t  be  used  when  it  comes  to  science.  jayce  reaches  up  to  adjust  the  temperature  of  the  heat  lamp,  glancing  at  the  temperature  before  his  gaze  drops  back  to  the  large  eggs  nestled  in  the  tall  faux  grass.  the  lab  was  fairly  quiet,  most  of  the  team  leaving  for  the  night  by  now,  as  he  should  soon.  but  he  just  couldn’t  find  it  in  himself  to  leave  quite  yet.  the  eggs  were  supposed  to  hatch  any  day  now,  and  he  desperately  wanted  to  be  there  when  it  happened  this  time.  he’d  yet  to  be  there  to  actually  witness  the  hatchlings,  only  monitor  them  the  following  days.

jayce  glances  over  his  shoulder  to  see  who  else  was  lingering  in  the  lab,  noting  viktor  nearby.  he  doubted  the  other  would  make  too  much  of  a  fuss  over  him  staying  a  bit  later  than  normal,  so  before  he  can  second  guess  himself  too  far  he’s  finding  a  stool  and  pulling  it  closer  to  the  incubator,  dropping  himself  onto  it  as  he  keeps  his  attention  on  the  eggs.  it’s  a  bit  of  time  before  he  hears  movement  in  the  lab  again  and  he  finds  himself  calling  out,  “ if  you’re  heading  out,  don’t  bother  locking  up  …  i’ll  be  here  for  a  while  so  i  can  take  care  of  it. ”   /  @alltimelines

[  MEND  ]   for  sender  to  treat  receiver’s  wound  which  leads  to  them  having  to  remove  an  article  of  clothing  resulting  in  revealing  scars  hidden  beneath.

the  shimmer  had  been  working.  may  not  in  the  exact  way  it  was  meant  to,  but  at  least  it  was  a  different  kind  of  discomfort,  and  it  had  seemed  to  stop  the  spreading.  jayce  tried  to  be  careful  with  the  amount  of  times  he  visited  the  other,  strictly  due  to  the  fact  he  feared  them  reaching  the  limitations  of  the  medicinal  use  of  shimmer.  any  shame  he'd  felt  at  trying  it  to  begin  with  had  faded  with  the  first  stroke  of  the  brush,  and  he'd  never  felt  shame  for  sneaking  off  to  zaun  anyways.  at  least  about  zaun  to  begin  with.  on  the  few  occasions  someone  recognized  him  beneath  his  hood  he  felt  shame  ...  but  because  of  his  own  actions  that  had  hurt  the  people  of  the  undercity.  no  matter  how  much  he  tried  to  make  up  for  that  now,  he  knew  it  would  never  be  enough.

yet,  he  wouldn't  stop  trying.  even  when  it  meant  getting  his  hands  dirty.  he'd  found  himself  in  the  forge  more  often  than  not,  and  then  in  homes  and  businesses  in  zaun.  upgrading  air  filtering  systems,  creating  new  ways  to  make  lives  better.  without  his  role  on  the  council,  he  had  the  freedom  to  do  it  all  himself,  and  that's  exactly  what  he  was  going  to  do.  however,  it  is  what  lead  him  to  lest's  services  earlier  than  normal.  with  the  manual  labor  combined  with  the  expanding  hexcorization  stretching  from  the  dented  scar  in  his  wrist,  the  pain  had  become  intolerable.  his  mind  could  only  will  away  so  much  pain  before  the  nerves  in  his  fingers  seized  or  went  numb.  he'd  supposed  it  was  time  to  expand  the  shimmer  use  further.

“ my  knee  isn't  bad,  it  probably  only  needs  a  few  minutes, ”   jayce  says  as  he  folds  over  his  pants  once  and  drops  them  on  the  table,  adjusting  slightly  on  his  good  leg.  he  keeps  his  back  to  her  as  he  hesitates  for  a  moment  before  his  fingers  go  to  the  buttons  on  the  front  of  his  shirt.   “ but  i  wanted  to  see  if  we  could  try  using  it  on  my  wrist  … ”  he  says  as  he  undoes  the  buttons.  while  taking  off  his  pants  around  her  had  become  normal,  he  can't  help  but  feel  a  little  more  self  conscious  as  he  pulls  away  another  layer.  he  folds  his  shirt  and  drops  it  on  his  pants  before  turning  towards  her.

brows  furrow  slightly  at  the  other's  face.  he  hadn't  even  shown  her  his  wrist  yet.  it  takes  a  moment  for  the  focus  of  her  gaze  on  his  bare  back  to  register  in  his  mind  and  he  breathes  a  laugh  through  his  nose.  “ oh,  that  one's  nothing, ”  he  brushes  it  off,  humor  in  his  voice  as  he  turns  further  and  shifts  to  sit  down  on  the  lounge.
