I wish people would stop saying “It’s July. Well done for wasting half a year.” Did you make someone smile in the past six months? Did you stroke a cat or throw a stick for a dog? Did you learn a new fact or teach someone a new joke? Did you laugh, cry, scream or sing in the past six months? Because if so, congratulations for not wasting your time at all.

You did not waste your year.

If you made it this far, that’s already not wasting your year.

You made it through the year, you laughed, you cried, you smiled, you saw the sun and felt the rain, and most importantly, you’re still here.

Writing a few paragraphs of the essay today is better than procrastinating till later.

Do things at a pace which makes you comfortable whilst allowing you to make progress.

Bible Study- Day 4

As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,

When Jesus speaks it is to prosper us. His word acts as fertilizer to our life, growing us with intentionality. Through his word we find peace, strength, wisdom, etc so that we may continue growing. Not only that but he speaks life into us, he speaks purpose into us. He makes us disciples and calls on us to spread the good news so that we may help others grow & flourish.

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Hebrews 4:13 NIV

There is nothing in your mind, spirit, or soul that you can hide from Jesus. We are held accountable for our actions, thoughts, feelings. We know God is a loving God, a forgiving God. A God of grace & mercy. We don't need to hide from God. There is nothing too big, too scary, too unforgiving that will make God leave or hate us.
