Swan & Kairi celebrating Pride Month
Ricardo Harris- HELP NEEDED!!!!
Over 300 people has shared his story. There was the only one person made a donation yesterday, and that was my mom :/
If you are financially stable, PLEASE donate $5 if you can! Many deaf people in the community are not able to help him because of the unemployment rate.
Click here to help donating!
𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄 𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐒.
Just because you did something wrong in the past doesn’t mean you can’t advocate against it now. It doesn’t make you a hypocrite. You just grew. Don’t let people use your past to invalidate your current mindset.
Bruh. This needs to be a mandatory post on everybody’s blog. Y'all really be pullin out decade old receipts like woah.
Either you want people to grow and change or you want people to stay evil villains soyou can feel superior as you shame them.
felt like making male simbs :))
Please protect our trans people! Especially our BLACK trans people! Black transgender people have an extremely high unemployment rate at 26 percent, two times the rate of the overall transgender sample and four times the rate of the general population. A startling 41 percent of Black respondents said they had experienced homelessness at some point in their lives, more than five times the rate of the general U.S. population. Black transgender people lived in extreme poverty with 34 percent reporting a household income of less than $10,000 per year. This is more than twice the rate for transgender people of all races (15 percent), four times the general Black population rate (9 percent), and eight times the general U.S. population rate (4 percent). Black transgender people were affected by HIV in devastating numbers. More than one-fifth of respondents were living with HIV (20.23 percent), compared to a rate of 2.64 percent for transgender respondents of all races, 2.4 percent for the general Black population, and 0.60 percent of the general U.S. population.
From education to employment and housing discrimination, from police brutality to health care disparities, Black transgender people are suffering at extremely high rates due to bigotry and transphobia. Nearly half of all Black transgender respondents report being harassed at work and at school. Twenty-six percent are unemployed and 34 percent report annual incomes of less than $10,000 per year. These numbers are appalling and these living conditions are unacceptable for any human being — gender conforming or not.
The black community particularly has a tendency to turn a blind eye to the hate that trans people get. We as a community are being discriminated against daily, and yet we can be the main ones who discriminate our OWN people sometimes. If Black lives matter, then ALL BLACK LIVES should matter. Yes, that includes all the QUEER and non-conforming lives as well.

Bullying/toxic behavior signs
[ Before you cancel me, I have never met oliveandoak personally and I’m also in the black community ]
It all started with the cancel culture against oliveandoak. People probably has done it in the past, who knows? I started Tumblr recently so, that’s why I’m using this example to talk about the bullying/toxic behaviors.
Please know that it is not directed at anybody who have called out her racist behavior *That is completely different and acceptable.
Back to the point - @architecturallypleasing’s response was the last straw for me after I told them that their toxic behavior needed to stop. Their response was: “it’s just a game. just let me play.”
How is this okay? It is not just a game when there are still real people behind the screens. It affects them mentally, emotionally and physically.
If you’re friends with this person, PLEASE have a talk with them and that it is not okay to bully someone online regardless of what they’ve done in the past.
Nobody deserves being bullied.
We should stand up against racism, bullying, homophobia, ableism, harassment, sexual harassment, etc.
Here’s the picture they posted and this was when oliveandoak returned to Tumblr.
I will keep this post up until they delete this picture.
[bullying picture source]
Note: NOT ALL of this applies to @architecturallypleasing. This is just to raise awareness on bullying and toxic behaviors I have been seeing on Tumblr and other platforms.
Nobody speaks about it publicly…ever.
Toxic community signs
[SOURCES 1 AND 2] - I did not write those with my own words in the below.
Verbal communication is minimal
People in toxic cultures don’t want to talk to each other. They don’t see a value in building relationships, meeting to discuss how to achieve goals, or ensuring that expectations are clearly set.
Gossip is tolerated
No description needed.
There are no consequences
Poor performance, missed targets, and inappropriate behavior or treatment of others are status quo. Anyone can get away with anything, anytime, and nobody is ever called to account for the things they have or haven’t done.
Demoralizing other simmers/Non-supportive
They won’t answer perfectly fair questions, or they mock you when you ask, or they act as if you’re being an imposition for asking questions at all. They might complain about things you do that they don’t like, but never tell you what you should be doing instead. They might never offer any assistance, nor ever act encouraging in any real way.
[ Before you cancel me, I have never met oliveandoak personally and I’m also in the black community ]
There’s a difference between calling out bad behavior and bullying. If someone comes back and says they screwed up and they’re sorry, accept it. Doesn’t mean you have to be friends with them, or even like them. But continuing to keep the the drama going and not letting them grow is wrong. If they can’t grow then why call them out? To feel superior over them? People need second chances, not ankle bitters who want to keep others down.
exhibit 2479 of why giving an apology and taking accountability means fuck all in the ever loving simblr community 💕
lol ya’ll are still gonna sit here and defend her. u havent even mentioned once that her “apology” was posted from a blank blog with nothing else on it and a weird url… im not being a bully by poking fun at an ignorant person. if u want to believe that then ok please block me as I have done all of u <3
No one mentioned it because it’s literally not relevant lmfao? She deleted her blog, it got hijacked by someone else, so how the else is she meant to post the apology please? Why are you so hellbent on discrediting the apology? Do you really need the drama that badly? And yes going out of your way to humiliate someone who has apologise and owned up to their mistake is still bullying.
ur leaving out mothz?? am i also bullying them???? and virtygo and klodas?????? like why r u so fixated on oliveandoak… get a hobby, grow a backbone, and block me its a funny goss headline
I haven’t mentioned them because one clearly hasn’t apologised and is instead doubling down on their ignorance and I don’t know anything about the other two. Meanwhile olive has actually given an apology and doesn’t deserve to be shitted on, what is so difficult to understand??
european people will be like “racism doesn’t exist here luv 😌💅 i can’t believe what’s happening in the united states” and then have a blackface festival
OK, Lets Discuss a topic that has been something that has been on my mind in recent days. Recently @grimcookies made an intriguing and informative video on the darker skin-tones and how they need to be fixed and how makeup doesn’t look as good on darker skin tones in the game. I suggest watching that video for a bit more insight.
The sad truth is, The Sims darker skin-tones aren’t made very well. They look very ashy and have no vibrancy. When the sims game initially came out in 2014, The game had little to no range for darker-skinned people, and the shades that they did have were very bad. In February of 2018, The Sims added a few more darker shades which brought the total to 10 medium to dark shades.
Those additional shades that they added, on the four darkest shades, a small patch of discoloration surrounds the nose. The existing makeup in the game also doesn’t look quite right on those new tones. For instance, adding lipstick creates an out of place line around the edges of a Sims’ lips.
@escapingpotplant made a fix to the additional swatches a few years ago HERE
Representation matters! We deserve to accurately show and represent ourselves. This game has shown growth in many areas but we still have a long way to go. It has been 6 years since the release of this game and we are still waiting for more representation. We shouldn’t have to rely on CC to get the representation that we deserve. For a game that prides itself on inclusivity I think that there should be a color-wheel for the sims skin-tones. There already is a color wheel for PETS in the game and I think that Sims should have the ability to do so as well. I want to start a petition to get more skins-tones that accurately represent us and our diversity. If you want to sign you can click HERE
But until then, here are some links that could be helpful If you are looking for accurate representation for your sims:
@xmiramira
Melanin Pack, Melanin Pack 2, Baby Melanin Pack
@peacemaker-ic
The Other Side Skin-Tones
@pyxiidis
Stuck on You Skin-Tones
@siminspring
B-Natural Medium Dark, Phenomenal Warm, Phenomenal Cool
@disorganaized
Cloud Skin Tones, Cumulus Skin Tones
I hope those links help people. It is hard enough that as black people we don’t get accurately represented in the media. But this game is a LIFE simulation and I think we should be able to represent our life in an accurate way. If you want to sign the petition for a color-wheel/ more skin-tones please click HERE! We can be the change we want to see!
