he’s the type to tease you obviously. but he never takes it too far or would make you uncomfortable, he’s quick to apologize if he does so. he literally is both the best friend you’ve always wanted and also want to trade away every 0.00002 seconds.

he likes it when you play with this hair. i won’t debate this one. he ADORES when you card your fingers through his hair and believe me it’s so soft and fluffy you genuinely just wanna push your fingers into it all the time. (you also wonder what it’d be like to tug on it but that’s neither here nor there).

he likes to have his hands on you all the time, and yes that sounds suggestive but he genuinely loves to have a hand on you or hold onto you in some way. he loves to hook his chin onto your shoulder and wrap his strong—very defined—arms around your waist. or he pulls your back into his chest when you’re standing together, he’ll swing his arms around your shoulders and hold you close. he just does things to you…

prince and the pauper.

this festival in inazuma city was breathtaking. as a local, you’d seen several festivals and celebrations, but this one was definitely one of your favorites. as you watched the people on a rooftop alone, you were delighted to people watch at a time like this. people running their food stalls, and making your stomach grumble at the sight of the delicious food. people mingling and laughing, and even taking part in festival games.

the festival was hosted by the yashiro commission and they always knew how to throw a party, you’d know, since you’ve been to many of their hosted celebrations. the kamisato siblings, ayato and ayaka, had brought their elegance and tradition to the city and away from their estate, and seeing them in person was a treat for all. you couldn’t believe how beautiful they were, never having seen them in person and only heard of their tales.

ayato in particular had truly caught your eye. he looked like a god, truly.

his attire was fitted to him perfectly, and his powder blue hair shimmered into the glow of the lanterns. his smile always met his eyes and he knew how to make everyone around him smile. you’d expected as much though, as he led his house and the yashiro commission, he had to know how to deal with all sorts of people. even from afar you could tell how truly impressive of a man he was.

your heart fluttered when you saw his expression morph into one of pure elation. his eyes forming crescents, and his shoulders going up and down as he laughed with his whole heart at something said. you gazed on as he gave ayaka an affectionate head pat, clearly flustering her as you watched them interact.

you smiled as you watched, and felt a thump in your heart. that’s when you tensed, what were you doing? staring dreamily at a man of such high class? that was crazy, you were but a normal citizen of inazuma.

you normally resided in ritou, but you came for the festival as soon as you heard it was hosted by the yashiro commission. as if you’d ever be allowed near kamisato ayato, as kind as they are, being from such different levels of class would be a hard walk to overcome if you wanted to even be his friend.

at least that’s what you thought.

your whole body froze, and you felt like you couldn’t breathe when all of a sudden, ayato looked up and caught your gaze. no one had noticed you until now, his expression showed he was surprised and you wondered if he thought you were weird.

instead, he graced you with a beautiful smile and waved. you weren’t sure this was really happening, but you needed your brain to finish reloading so you could wave back.

you did wave, before you left him seeming weird—you honestly weren’t sure if even cared about that—and he smiled again before moving back to his conversation with ayaka and thoma.

you couldn’t believe he even noticed you, you’d always watched the festivals from afar, admittedly you were a bit shy, but you did go down sometimes! still watching everyone have fun, and maybe even seeing some fireworks, that made this seat worth it.

you couldn’t fight back the goofy smile on your face at the fact that kamisato ayato noticed you at all. he didn’t have to wave, he didn’t have to smile, he could’ve just looked at you—thought you were weird—and moved on. he didn’t though, and that made you feel nice.

it felt really nice.

kazuha

Kazuha completely understands your constant drowsiness, he loves to sleep and take naps as well so he often joins you in your rest. If you start sleeping so much it's worrisome, he would mention it. You don't think you're sick, you feel fine, you get checked just to be sure—and for Kazuha's sanity.

Just like you expected, you're fine though in the end, much to Kazuha's relief. Still, sleeping as much as you do—even more than the nap pro himself—seemed stranger at first. As long as you weren't unwell though, Kazuha was fine with it.

Resting on rocks by the beach, or in fields of grass, it was no wonder he often found you with Ganyu when you two would visit Liyue.

Kazuha would often watch over you while you rested if he didn't feel like sleeping himself. As he wrote his latest haiku, you would mumble in your sleep in turn over so your face was in his hip. Kazuha would simply smile at your cuteness, pat your head, and continue writing.

Sometimes sleep evades Kazuha, when he sees nightmares he wishes he could forget, or the loss of a friend that replays over and over. That's where you come in, sleep rarely avoids your grasp, and when you take Kazuha in your arms, he feels more at peace than he's ever felt. You keep the nightmares, the scary thoughts, the constant memory relapses, all at bay. He holds on like he'll never let go, and your sleepiness saves him, and grants him a peaceful sleep that he feels he'd never have without you.

thoma

Thoma is worried when you sleep almost over half of the day away, mainly because he wants to make sure you're eating, getting out of bed, getting fresh air. Thoma is often busy with his work from the Yashiro Commission, but when he leaves you in the morning, only to find that you're just now getting out of bed in the late afternoon/evening? Yeah, that's worrisome.

When he brings it up to you, you honestly don't feel weird. You noticed your long amounts of sleep before, even got yourself checked, but nothing was wrong. You wrote it off as just being extra tired, I mean you had several commissions from the adventurer's guild, and it wasn't like you were just staying in bed everyday. Still, you understood Thoma's worries, you just felt perfectly fine.

Thoma eventually gets used to your frequent amounts of sleep.

He makes sure to check in on you, but as long as you're okay, he's fine with it. Still he will whine a bit about not getting to spend much time with you. You agree to get out of bed and spend more time with Thoma after he keeps pouting and sulking. You have been getting a lot of rest, and you did miss him.

Thoma also agrees to join in on your midday naps when he's free. He actually loves when you're the big spoon, he likes when you ruffle his hair and snuggle up to him. Plus he gets to nuzzle in your chest and give it kisses.

Overall Thoma stops worrying, but he does tell you that you need to go out with him a bit more, staying inside for too long won't be healthy in the long run after all.

Kazuha loved you. He really did. After a while though, he could feel the sparks he once had dying out.

You’ve always been together since you both started college, it was only natural for him that he his feelings for you began to grow.

You did everything together, and it made Kazuha realize that he didn’t want to do any of these things without you.

The day he confessed, and you accepted, was probably one of his happiest memories—and it always will be—in time it won’t hurt as much, but he knew this needed to end.

Deep down though, you knew too.

You two had been growing apart. What with Kazuha talking about applying to an abroad university for his masters, and you with your new job that’s kept you so busy.

You’ve barely had time anymore to see each other without being exhausted.

This led to arguments, things you didn’t mean sent back and forth at each other. In the heat of the moment some words were said, and those words couldn’t be taken back.

You both knew that the growing distance you had was due to both of you, not one or the other.

As much as you two started out bound by the hip, now it was time to let go.

The innocent sparks weren’t there anymore, and nothing else was to blame for that but time, and distance. Two things you just couldn’t overcome together, and that’s okay.

After having a talk about it all, you two mutually agreed it was time to end your relationship.

There were tears, there was one more embrace, and like that Kazuha left you with a final kiss to your forehead, and a wish that you have a happy life.

xiao

Xiao is a man who doesn’t show his feelings often. It’s not entirely his fault, he really has never had a relationship before.

You understood that, but Xiao had no excuse for the way he’d been distancing himself from you.

He knew it was wrong, but whenever you interacted, he began to feel this disconnect.

He thought he was falling out of love with you, so he began to distance himself.

It was that typical "If you hate me, you can move on" card.

Xiao was also afraid of getting hurt, so he thought perhaps if he ended things first, he could protect himself from further loss.

He had lost several people in his life, one day he would lose you too, he didn't know if he could handle that.

So he asked you to meet with him at his place one night.

Deep down, you knew what was coming, you hated it, but you knew.

With the distance Xiao had been putting between you both, it was only natural to you that him asking to break up was coming.

As you expected, he told you that he thought things should end.

You stood there for a moment, quiet, and sad.

In the end though, the distance felt too far to cross anymore. It began to be too painful to be with Xiao anymore.

He never truly explained why he was ending things, and you never asked, it simply went unresolved.

Xiao thinks of you every now and then, and if he's lucky enough. he'll catch a glimpse of you.

Seeing you happy—albeit without him—is enough for him.

A glimpse of your smile was all he ever deserved to begin with, or at least, that's how he felt.

albedo

Albedo is still learning about emotions and relationships, and he enjoyed the one he shared with you—for the most part.

Over time though he noticed he wasn’t quite as excited to hear from you.

He wasn’t really as excited to see you visit his place.

Nor could he feel that blossoming feeling of excitement he'd just learned to experience when he would listen to you talk about your day, your work, anything really.

He found himself growing very indifferent with you.

You noticed this too, of course.

Part of you worried you'd done something wrong, however when you asked Albedo, he simply denied it, saying it wasn't you at all.

This confused you, it didn't add up with his behavior.

This was Albedo we were talking about.

Every action he performed had meaning. Every step had purpose.

He wouldn't feel so distant, just because.

When you finally sat down and talked with Albedo about this some days later, he told you everything honestly.

He had no intention of hurting you, but he could felt that twisting in his stomach at the sight of your tears.

You forced a sad smile and told him that what he was feeling sounds a lot like falling out of love with someone.

Albedo didn't fully understand the concept, but honestly if that's what this was, it didn't feel good.

After that conversation, you also began to distance yourself.

If Albedo was slowly losing his love for you, you'd let him go.

As much as you loved him you would never force him to stay with you.

Neither of you deserved that.

You knew you'd have to be the one to end this, Albedo wasn't adept at sensing emotions, or reading the room.

You knew if you didn't say something, this distance could go on for much longer than it needed to.

Neither of you deserved that.

As you stood in front of Albedo's apartment door, you took a long look at it. Gazing fondly at the doorknob that you'd turn nearly everyday to see your love.

A shaky deep breath, and you turned the knob for what was most likely the last time.

Albedo turned to you, his emotionless face, his turquoise eyes.

It took everything in you not to crumble and ask him to stay, try again, start over and see where you go from there; but you had to do this.

It'll all be over soon, that's what you'd tell yourself.

Eula truly cared for you, really she did.

Over time though, she felt as though she was forcing herself to keep that same connection as time went on.

She doesn't know when or how it happened, but the feelings just gradually started fading away.

However it wasn’t just her, you felt it as well. She could tell in the ways you weren’t quite as enthusiastic in your conversations like you used to be.

Or how her holding you or even kissing you, didn’t quite hold the same passion or affection it once did, and you didn’t mind it or ask what was wrong.

You both were growing apart and while it was painful—it’s the end of a relationship after all—both of you had made peace with this.

The feelings simply didn’t carry on past your “honeymoon phase” of your relationship.

Surprisingly enough to Eula, you had no rebuttal when she had said that it may be for the best that you two decide to call it.

You in fact said that you agreed. Things were only going to get more forced; more strained, as time went on.

Eula didn’t know whether to feel relieved that you felt the disconnect too, or hurt.

It was a mixture of both she decided.

As much as she knew you’d grown distant with her as well, it still hurt that you made no attempt of any kind to try and keep the relationship.

However this, was a blessing in disguise, Eula decided. You were right, deep down she knew that.

It just... hurt.

you both have been working hard in your efforts to help watatsumi island fight back against the shogun.

you were a member of the crux fleet who was helping with the rebellion at beidou’s request (also because she wanted you to keep an eye on kazuha).

still even kokomi herself said you were putting in so much work, while you simply dismissed her saying it was no trouble at all.

kazuha often worried for you, but you insisted you were fine time and time again.

he regretted not pushing harder though, because today was your breaking point. 

you walked into the council room to deliver some news. kazuha, kokomi, gorou, and beidou were all discussing things. 

just as you were about to speak-

“_____!”

you could barely hear the voice calling your name as your hearing gave away and your mind went blank. you started tilting and you blacked out. 

kazuha jumped over and brought his hand under your head before it fell to the ground.

you woke up in a daze, a groan leaving your lips.

“awake my petal?” 

you jump as you hear kazuha’s voice. you find yourself in the quarters that were given to the crux fleet by watatsumi. the bed was recognizable since you and kazuha had rested here. 

“what happened?” you groaned, and kazuha sighed.

“what do you think happened? you fainted and gave me, and gave many of us a near heart attack.”

you winced at the memory surfacing. “i’m sorry.”

kazuha knew you weren’t doing this for any mean reasons, but he really wished you would listen when people tell you to take breaks. 

“petal, i know you want to help everyone, but you must rest,” he said and brushed his fingers across your cheek. 

you nodded, knowing he was right. 

“i’m not upset, but please try and take breaks. you aren’t the only one fighting the shogun i hope you know,” he added in a lighthearted tone, and you giggled like he’d hoped you would.

“i will do better, thank you kazuha,” you said and offered him a peck on his lips. 

he smiled and said, “anything for you my dear.”

albedo

you were a part of the investigation team, working under albedo.

you had always had a bit of a crush on albedo, but you felt it would be too unprofessional to tell him about it. 

klee however did not have the same professionalism that you did. she once brought up how you liked working with albedo and you gently scolded her for talking about that.

albedo smirked and asked you about it later on, to which you ended up confessing your feelings (there was very little point in trying to hide things from the genius).

what you weren’t expecting was for him to feel the same. he easily and nonchalantly told you that he reciprocated your feelings and left you stunned.

after that, you two spent all your time together, much to klee’s joy since she loved you so much.

however, you were known to overwork yourself, you were fasciatned with alchemy and also the dragonspine in and of itself. 

albedo (although he knew more than he let on) loved quelling your thirst for knowledge when it came to the mountain, but also he noticed that even for him, you took your research a little too seroiously.

one day, when you’d reached your limit, though thankfully it was at the favonius hq and not out in the cold of the dragonspine. 

you were bringing reports to albedo and jean when suddenly you felt faint, in an instant you’d started to lean forward, and albedo rushed to you, catching you before you could hit the ground.

you groaned and lifted yourself up, you found yourself on one of the couches in what looked to be the investigation team’s office. 

“awake i see,” you hear, and you look to find albedo by his desk, filing through papers.

you winced guiltily as you remembered just what had happened. “how long was i asleep for?”

“about six hours, i’d say that’s an acceptable amount of time if you’d been getting rest prior to this,” albedo mentioned, a somewhat icy glare sent your way.

you looked away as you pulled the blanket left on top of you over your chest. albedo sighed at this and rose from his desk to come over to you.

“i’m not mad, dear, but i wish you would’ve said something if you were this exhuasted.” 

albedo patted your head and stroked it for a moment, easing your tension and guilt if not just a little bit. 

“i’m sorry,” you said truthfully.

“you’re forgiven, just please take better care of yourself,” albedo said and kissed your forehead.

“i will, thank you for caring.”

“i’ll always care.”
