☪ Maidly Duties

Did Sai look great in this or what? She had the spent the majority of the morning in her dorm room, twirling around in her new maid uniform and practicing her greetings in the mirror. She signed up for the club on a whim but the excitement she felt for it was real. The outfit, the flirting, the delicious sweets... was this the perfect gig or heaven?

It was unfortunate that she couldn't take off the bandages today. And Sai doubt she could take off her eyepatch without... unsettling people. She could only hope her appearance wouldn't set people off too much.

Hearing the bells on the door jingle, she put those thoughts to rest. With a great big smile, she happily bowed before her new customer.

"Welcome to the maid cafe! Guess I hit the jackpot today... I'm a real sucker for cuties."

“ah!” Calliope yelped as the girl hovered through the wall into the room. To be fair, Calliope shouldn’t have been there herself, but she had needed a quiet place to draw. There was no way she’d achieve that in her dorm. And she kept getting distracted at the cafe.

She listened to the girl’s rant silently. Calliope remained unnoticed for the moment, not to her surprise, but it was only a matter of time before the girl noticed Calliope. “yoU’re in the art department, bUt i coUldn’t tell yoU exactly what room, i’m sorry.” She placed her sketchpad to the side. “pardon my rUdeness, bUt how did yoU float throUgh that wall?” Calliope didn’t realize the girl was dead - after all, the girl still had colored eyes.

Twirling around, Sai searched around the room until her blue eye settled on the other figure in the room. "Ah... that's alright, kid. It's somethin', at least." It made things just a little easier. At least she could find her way to the stairs, with this knowledge.

She floated backwards and crossed her arms over her chest, smiling down at her peer."Ain't rude at all. Isn't too often that I get to meet someone with some manners, honestly!" She giggled into her hand before continuing.

"Well... I kicked the bucket some years ago and came back. That's the simple story. The actual truth s'bit more complicated..." But not one she was willing to tell to a complete stranger.

"Just your average ghost! Heh, the name's Sai, it nice to meet'cha."

Demon - Open

The smirk remained at Shuu’s lips as he nodded in greeting and affirmation.

“I am, Doctor Iwamine Shuu - it’s a pleasure I’m sure.” Purple eyes swept her form in a clinical manner, mentally noting to look up the markings on her person. They seemed vaguely familiar, like something he had been taught in the distant past but never bothered actually using. Also noted was the apparent state of her being. An eyebrow cocked.

“Are you quite sure? I’m sure you’re far more interesting on closer inspection.” Shuu started to move closer, then stalled - seeming to think better of it. “But you don’t like to be touched do you? I wonder if I even could. Well then, that is your decision. If you ever feel the desire, I’d be more than willing to stuff you full of pills.”

"Dr. Iwamine..." She nodded once, smiling . "I'll remember it!" His steps further caused her to float a few paces back, a fine eyebrow arched in confusion.

"Ha ha... You got that right teach. Not a fan of getting close and personal. S'whole reason I'm like 'this' in the first place." Sai responded back teasingly but her underlying tone was wary. Almost instantly, she could revert back to her human form at will... but it left her vulnerable. Weak. And her trust in humans just wasn't high enough for her to be comfortable in her original body.

"Thanks but I'll take a negative on that as well. I've been pumped full of enough drugs to take down a group of elephants. I'd rather not risk swallowing s'more."

"But I'm curious. what should I be expecting in this class? It's been such a long time since I've been in school..

... we're not gonna slice n' dice some creepy crawlies, are we?"

Demon - Open

 The term demon had, in the past, been liberally applied as a label to Iwamine Shuu. The brunet supposed it was meant to be offensive, a title he should be shamefaced for having earned. Mostly however, he found it mildly amusing. Demon was such a silly thing to call a person. Shuu himself was far more rooted in reality. The way he figured, if you wanted to hurt a person all you had to do was tell them the truth. There simply wasn’t any need for fantasy.

                Snorting lightly, he snapped the slim blue book he held shut. Slender fingers ran along the smooth leather binding subconsciously as violet eyes swept the room. This was his new classroom, which the good doctor had just finished setting up – not that anyone would be able to tell. The walls bore no educational or even vaguely amusing posters, anything that students could find interesting –which as anyone who had worked in a high school could tell you read as dangerous in the eyes of a responsible adult – was locked away in the stark white cabinets that lined the walls, and (perhaps the biggest change of all) the air in the room smelled so strongly of disinfectant that it stung the eyes. Shuu smiled faintly, nodding to himself as he stood his silver briefcase up and slipped the old year book inside.

                Logically speaking, he knew the thing was worthless and needed to be disposed of. Students at his previous school, St. PigeoNation’s, had gotten a hold of the keepsake and littered it with graffiti. The thing was practically a guide book to every rude or insulting thing a person could be called, with his carefully taken notes on various students more often than not made illegible by the word demon or some variant of such. It was worthless anyway, he’d left that school far behind.

                Still, Shuu did so like his mementos and the little red ‘x’s at least had survived the attack.

                With his briefcase in hand and a little whip of his lab coat, the tall brunet  turned to leave only to find himself not entirely alone.

                He allowed a small smirk to turn at the corner of his lips, shifting the heavy case to his left hand. “You know of course that there’s nothing fun in here, yes? All of my lovely chemicals are locked up tight.” Slender fingers adjusted red framed glasses as Shuu allowed himself a casual stance. “Although, perhaps if you ask nicely-“

Sai's only purpose here was to acquaint herself with her classrooms. Calculus, home economics, art.. she had jotted down all of their locations in the school in her memory. But she saved the science department for last. It made her... uncomfortable. The harsh smell of disinfectant, the chemicals that lined the walls, the stark white coats that clothed the faculty there: it all brought up painful memories. 

But it was mandatory, what choice did she have? At least she had the option to choose. And anatomy seemed perfect. If she could understand how her own body worked, then maybe she could figure out all the symbols that scientists had left behind on her body.

She was startled to see someone else in the room, but not surprised. After all, the school was big. How could she expect every room to be empty?

"Oh no, I uh... wanted to check out my classes. This is Anatomy, right? I'm not trying to do anything suspicious..." Which sounded suspicious on it's own. Nervously, she scratched the pale skin under her bandages, keeping an eye on the man.

"I-It's okay, I'll skip on playing lab rat today... are you my teacher? Name's Sai, it's a pleasure."

Attractin' a crowd, am I? [SoF OPEN]

What did they want with her anyways? As far as she knew, she was just as odd looking as everyone else here. She had arrived late tonight… She had missed all of her classes as well. Didn’t help that Nine just ran off too. All she had to go off of was the name ‘Tancho’. Tch, some help that moron was anyways. It seemed very quiet outside, and a bunch of lights were on in specific buildings. Some had music playing too. A sleepover? She had walked riiiiight into a party. But one of those had to be the girl’s dorm, right?

“Gotta find my way over there. I can’t just sleep out here t’night. Figures I gotta do this on my freakin’ own. Unless…”

She had an idea. The white haired student made her way towards one of the buildings. She caught sight of someone and proceeded to….pin them against the wall. Aggressive maneuvers were the only way to go!

“Listen ‘ere. I don’t have time for bullshit. Just tell me if this is th’girls’ dorms or not. I gotta get unpacked.”

Who had she pinned? She hadn’t a clue. She tightened her grip and pushed them harder against the wall, growing impatient.

“Ey, I’m talkin t’ya! Sheesh!”

The night was a little too rowdy for her tastes, the dorm rooms accented with hollers and dares at every angle. Now, Sai was faaaar from a party pooper. Quite the opposite, really. But she wasn't ready for anything too rambunctious, considering she just arrived -- all she wanted was a relaxing evening and some fresh air.

But she soon found that tonight would be anything BUT relaxing when she found herself pinned against the wall staring into the eyes of a silver-haired girl.

Her words hardly registered with Sai; the sudden impact had left her dizzy and dazed, her head aching with a sore bruise. The stranger to continued to yell, even though the ghost was hardly coherent enough to understand...

But when a bit of focus returned to her, she glared down at the girl with a steely blue eye. In a moment, she had escaped. Phasing away from that grip and hovering just a few feet away -- she wouldn't allow herself to be captured again!

"What's the big friggin' deal!? You could have just asked instead of actin' like a real brat! Seriously, you almost scared me half to dea--... well, alive--... the point is, don't do that again!

001` . it's fuckin' hot.

There was a light breeze that just seemed to tickle the back of the previous bishop’s neck. No swirl of cherry blossoms or anything, but it was a nice breeze. A short, light brush of wind against the back of his neck. It almost seemed to tease him. Something that a man like himself didn’t appreciate.Frau’s knees almost gave in due to the small caress.

Because. It. Was. Fucking. Hot. Holy Chief of Heaven’s balls, it was hot.

Though he was usually pretty tolerable, as a man who gave off no heat — no, screw it. It was still hot as balls. He could feel his damn skeletal body melting. Could bones melt? It felt like it. 

Groaning, he continued his search for the god damn dormitory, as if it was his mission. … Which it was, considering how ridiculously hot it was and how badly he wanted to kick someone in the nuts. Why was he doing this job again? Ethics, of all classes too. He, a smoking bishop who puts porn between the pages of various books, biblical texts, and … possibly a few more … inappropriate places, teaching Ethics. He sort of wondered if Castor set him up for this gig. The Brasburg church was pretty low on money and high on… homeless people… 

God dammit.

He just wanted to go into his dorm. Oh god, it shouldn’t be this hot. Ever. The Chief of Heaven has always been a harsh man, but wouldn’t even bestow this heat on Ay- … Nevermind.

“May God be with my poor god damn soul,” he muttered to himself as he gradually slowed down.. and continued to slow down… until he felt flat on his face, groaning.

It. Was. Hot. As. Fucking. Balls.

Sai was slowly getting used to the layout of the school, her daily travels around the building slowly easing her in the new location. Sure, she was finding herself lost here and then... but slowing, she was deciphering the labyrinth that was Tancho academy. She only hoped others were so lucky.

".....?" Off in the distance, she noticed something odd. A prop from the drama room? A murder in process? She floated over to get a better look, placing a hand on her chin as she gave the person a quizzical look. It was definitely human at least... but...

"Heeeeey~! Hey, what's wrong?" She knelt down beside the tall man, pressing a cool hand against the side of his face. As a ghost, her body gave off an icy chill; in comparison to that, his face felt scorching hot and Sai almost recoiled as a result.

"C-C'mon, let's take you the nurse. Can you walk on your own or do you need a shoulder to lean on?"

Caster was being quite serious when she said that though. It would be a really terrible thing if students were either late or just didn’t go to their classes because they were too afraid to go through the halls. Then while she was being serious all of a sudden the girl started giggling. Getting out of her serious mode, Caster blinked and just looked curiously at her. Did I say something funny? Or maybe she just thought of something funny…hm…She mentally shrugged, oh well.

“Well, I guess that’d be interesting. Especially for Halloween and such.” The more she thought about the more she thought of how she could go through such a test of bravery with her Master. Caster could imagine it now, she would be close to her Master and pretend to be so scared she had to cling onto him. Her Master was nice, he might go with it. That is if he didn’t faint or something first. If anything, the girl’s question brought Caster back to reality.

“Yes that’s right. I teach Japanese Literature. Sure, what can I help you with?”

Sai could see a trickle of confusion in the other female's expression and she had to hold back another giggle from escaping. She waved her hand in response, dismissing the thought. "If I stick around here til halloween, I'll give you an all exclusive scare. Promise~!"

But jokes aside, she hadn't come here for a comedian routine. She was clearly lost and she refused to stay lost for even a second longer. If she had to go around in even more circles, she swore she was just going to pick one of the empty classrooms and designate it as her new haunted spot. No questions asked.

"I need to find my dorm. I've... kinda just been wandering around. Givin' people scares and what not... not intentionally, of course." She shrugged, sighing in exasperation.

"But I'd really like a chance to rest. I'm not usin' my legs but flying around this whole place get's tiring quick."

first impressions [ intro / open ]

Crona wasn’t sure how long he’d been in the locker for.

Long enough so the light was getting rosy through the grate, and long enough so his stomach had started growling again. It wasn’t an unfamiliar feeling, especially considering how often Ragnarok stole his meals, but it was uncomfortable nonetheless.

Crona supposed he should start trying to get out of the locker, but it was comfortable in there. Safe and dark. He had even named it. Locker had seemed like too familiar of a name, so he’d named it Mr. Charles Locker. He might have to go thank the boy with the spiky brown hair, Gary Oak, for introducing them. It sure was nice of him to do something like that.

He was starting to worry, though. What if nobody found him in there? Ragnarok had beat him regularly since being trapped inside the locker, venting his frustrations on the only other living being there. He might have had a black eye, and he was pretty sure his nose was bleeding. Sure, Crona was fine with being in there, but Ragnarok wanted out, and Crona wasn’t sure if he could deal with the two of them being alone in such a cramped space anymore.

The Demon Blade shakily rose to his feet, bumping his head on the wall as he rose and whining softly. Muttering an apology to Mr. Charles Locker, he started rapping on the door lightly.

He wanted to get people’s attention, but he didn’t want to interrupt them or anything.

“Um, h-hey…” Crona’s voice slipped out of the locker grate quietly. “I, um, I don’t want to bother anyone, but I’m k-kind of stuck in here… it’s dark and cramped… can… can someone help me out?”

A curious noise caught the ghost's attention, bringing her nose out of her notes to find the source of it. Craning her neck, it almost sounded like someone was knocking... and soon enough, it was accompanied by a timid voice. Stuffing her papers into her book bag, Sai stood up and floated towards the gentle timber before stopping before one of the many lockers.

" ... can… can someone help me out?”

Hmph. So even a prestigious school like Tancho still had it's share of bullied kids. It was a shame but she supposed there was no reason that the school would be exempt from it. "Hold on kid. I'll get ya out in just a sec.."

Pushing the lock up and out, she pulled open the door, floating backwards to give him room to step out. Hand son her hips, she gave the boy... girl... person a once over. Were there any injuries? Being inside such a cramped place couldn't have been good for you muscles. Giving him the gentlest smile she could muster, Sai spoke gently to him,

"You alright? How long have you been in there? The nerve of some people... this pretty grade school of 'em..."

Even the White Rabbit was unsure of the room he was occupying. He still was getting a sense of the school’s layout, and to do that he would traverse the many halls, classrooms, and whatever other rooms he was able to go into. However there was a distinct feeling of repetition the longer he would go on and now? He felt exhausted and annoyed with face planted on the desk in the classroom, unsure of where he had even gone at this point. He had taken so many twists and turns, he had no idea what section of the school this was. 

He was contemplating on whether to just leave and try and head back to the dorms, but he was so frustrated that he began to repeatedly slam his head against the wooden frame — halting when there was an interruption. A voice! - And here he thought he had been alone! How dare someone intrude on him like this?! Even if he was in a public classroom —

“Y-You..!” 

No, he hadn’t exactly noticed that the girl had phased through the wall nor had he taken notice (right away at least) that she wasn’t exactly touching the ground. The White Rabbit was startled initially that he hadn’t been as perceptive as he usually was, however once he rose, rubbing the sore spot of his forehead as he headed over — ah, it was then that he noticed. And all he reacted with was, “An anomaly? Wait…are you a student here?”

She turned her head at the sound of the male voice, picking up a few 'thwacks' that she couldn't place the source of. Had he fallen? His forehead was a remarkable shade of red. Sisterly instincts took over and her first thought was to reach out and check to see to see if he was alright--

“An anomaly? Wait…are you a student here?”

An anomaly? How rude!Was that the sort of greeting that passed by here?She huffed and crossed her arms over her chest, drawing her lips into a tight line.

"Well, well! Look at who's able to see me~! This is a first in a long while." Well, whether or not the boy had meant anything impolite by it, she was going to take this chance to tease him. Why not, after all?

"... Yeah. You can stay that. Been a student here for a long time, if you catch my drift!

I've been trying to find my body... think you can lend me a hand?"

Caster had been walking around, she’d been around the entirety of the school to finally know where everything was. Well sort of, sometimes she got lost but if she could find at least one thing she recognized then she could find her way again. It’s not her fault that the school was huge and stuff. Anyway as she was roaming around the school she came across a lost soul.

Hmm? A new student? Not that Caster knew all the students in the school but the girl seemed to be lost. Or well, more lost than the students that have been here for a while usually are.

“Seriously! Maybe I’m just doomed to haunt the halls of this school for the rest of eternity…!!”

“Eh!? That’s not good! You’d become one of the school’s seven wonders and make some students afraid to go through the halls!”

Sai nearly bounced out of her skin when she heard an actual response to her silly exaggerations. And when she turned her head to view the source of the voice, she grew even more surprised: Was this woman a cosplayer? With those long furry ears and cute puff of a tail, she certainly fit the description! Her cute appearance caused the ghost to fall into a fit of giggles, her anger evaporating in just a few seconds.

"Well, that doesn't sound so bad! I'd sort be like a test of bravery, don't you think so?" Or at least be a riot during school festivals. The buxom ghost of Tancho academy. If you didn't leave her an offering of sweets, you'd be destined to fail your next three tests. Oh, the fun she could have with that!

"Say, are you... a teacher around here? Think you can help me out?"

"This way, I think... it all looks the same though." The girl mused bitterly to herself, wandering the halls with a small pamphlet in her hands. Excluding the laboratory that used to serve as Sai's home, she had never been in such a huge building before. Especially one as gorgeous as this.

And naturally, the ghost was hopelessly lost.

She couldn't make sense of the map. Had they given her a misprint or was this some sort of prank they played on new students? Either way, she was growing increasingly frustrated. "I just wanna go to my room and sleep the day away. Is that askin' for too much?"

Well, a few shortcuts never hurt anyone, did they? If she went through the walls, Sai was bound to find her dorm room sooner or later. Taking a few side steps, she phased through the walls, drifting around a maze of empty rooms.

"... This is even worse! Where am I? The science department? Math!? Urgh!" In her bout of fury, she hadn't noticed the other person who occupied the room, bearing witness to her episode.

"Seriously! Maybe I'm just doomed to haunt the halls of this school for the rest of eternity...!!"
