That slipup nearly killed you.
If you’re up to it, you’re to wait to depart to Byakko and that’s where your mission starts. you’ll deal with the Crystal Jammers and when you can summon your weapon, then strike. Simple enough?
We all die in th'end, what does it matter? All that changes is when anyways.
[waves her hand dismissively] yeah, yeah, it ain't an issue. Who's all comin' with me, huh? Or is this somethin' I'm doin' solo?
You won’t be dealing with Machina. That’s my priority.
I was also going to mention I was going to accompany to hold him off while the rest of you deal with anything else and the Crystal Jammers. Clearly from your state you failed to teach him a first time.
Tch, betcha it was just a slipup on my part. Guess you're right, though. Don't wanna deal with his overpowered ass again. [chuckles then groans a little, looks up at him with confidence and fire, but not literally fire no bad]
Just tell me what I gotta do.

-flinches to help but doesn’t, narrowing his eyes- For now the Peristylium is safe. he’s retreated to Byakko, and as it so happens, you have a mission to take Byakko’s Peristylium.
...Take Byakko's Peristylium, huh?
Tch, that sounds like a mission I can wrap my finger 'round. [chuckles, standing up, knees shaking] Gimme a moment t'catch my breath and I'll get on it. Don't ya worry your prissy little head about a thing. [smirks]
Prolly go an' teach that stupid L'Cie a thing or two anyways.
-furrows his brow, approaches- What in Etro’s name happened to you?
[chuckles] I'm pretty sure ya can guess. Kunagiri.... I-I saw him near th'Peristylium. I had t'stop him... [coughs, tries to stand up, leaning against the wall] He's dangerous...We gotta make sure everyone in th'Peristyliym's safe...
-blinks, spots familiar white hair- Sice?
Heh... Guess I'm not far from home after all... [coughs, doubles over a little]
E-Ey, Cap'n.
Didn't think it'd hurt this bad... Tch, that Machina...
[leaning against a wall, managed to get away from Machina, who was beating the shit out of her, huffing]
Just...gotta figure out where th'hell I am now...

So she did recognize him. Figures.
Her words were cutting, but he couldn’t find it in himself to find a proper emotional response. Everything was numb to him now; he couldn’t tell the difference between a compliment and an insult. He reacted the same to everything: blank-faced and flat-toned. The want, the desire to feel…it was all gone. He didn’t see the point in holding onto petty human emotions when he was just going to forget about them anyway. Might as well keep moving forward while he was ahead.
She burst off to the side with tons of energy; she really was bent on killing him. Unfortunately for her that was going to be impossible.
His brand flared again and he felt Haste kicking in; a soft yellow shimmer surrounded his masked form, engulfing him with his enhanced l’Cie powers. The strength surged through him like a storm, though he knew he was barely going to use any of it.
He figured he’d give her the honours of making the first move, since he knew what the outcome was going to be either way. He stood in battle formation with his hands gripped tightly on his weapons, but he had no desire to attack anytime soon.
Not only had the soldier been brainwashed, he had also been 'blessed' with some kind of power. Power that glowed with a life she had never seen before. He wouldn't be an easy adversary, but she'd die of embarrassment if she died at the tip of her rapier.
However, the young man didn't move an inch. As if he had been frozen in time, unable to move. The candidate knew that wasn't the case, and continued to keep her distance. Soon enough, she managed to slide into an opening, her blade following diligently behind her.
Sice then took a cautious, but rapid step back. She swung she scythe diagonally upwards, then down towards her opponent. She knew that he'd have to dodge or at least step out of the way. With that dodge, Machina would sign his death warrant as he stepped into the opening for the candidate's Dark Zone ability.
She didn't know if he could move faster than usual, but she knew she was faster than him. She'd be able to leave her mark. Her agility was one of the best traits she had. However...her openings were always obvious. Had she been cautious of these openings? She'd find out.
She definitely had some fight in her. He didn’t bother to follow her with his eyes as she circled him; he could sense the energy practically radiating off of her. Too bad it wasn’t going to be enough.
The usual spot on his shoulder began to itch, and there it was: his brand glowed acidic green-yellow, and his eyes flared the same colour. His rapiers appeared in his hand in a flash of light, and he spun on his heel to face her.
He wondered why she hadn’t recognized him yet. The other two students have. Was she really from Class Zero…?
The drill rapiers in the slave's hands proved to be all too familiar and sparked a reaction from the reaper. She stepped back a little, cursing under her breath. It couldn't have been...
Machina? So she had been right. He had gone to a different nation, joined their side...and had been brainwashed by them. This couldn't have been happening. So had he been the one to off Cinque and Ace...? Impossible...
Regardless, Sice let a bloodlust get the better of her. Her hands began to tremble lightly and she faced Machina with tense eyebrows and focused eyes. She had trusted him...and look what happened. Had Trey been right? Was he really a spy...? No... No way! She kept her facial expressions to a minimum, since she believed they showed a sign of weakness. But she'd refused to hold back. Even if it was Machina Kunagiri...
She'd kill him right where he stood, and drag his corpse back to the Peristylium.
"So it was you all along, huh? Joinin' th'enemy an' offin' your classmates. You'll pay for what you've done; I don't care who ya are! I'll cut ya into a hole six feet under!"
She then felt a rush of adrenaline as she rushed to the left, the blade of her scythe following close behind. Close range wouldn't be to her advantage at the moment. She'd focus on tripping him then ending him from a distance.
He resisted the urge to let out a sigh. It looked like he was going to have to add yet another red mantle under his kill count. This would make three now. How many more students were in Class Zero? His memory was so bad…he couldn’t even remember.
He leapt off the edge of the building and landed seamlessly just a few feet away from her, crouching just as he hit the ground to soften his landing.
His eyes locked on her as he slowly rose to his feet. A stoic-looking girl with a scythe balancing over her shoulder. She looked like a fighter. Maybe she would put up more of a struggle than her two classmates. A real challenge, perhaps.
He sensed a familiar feeling about this girl, but it wasn’t as strong as what he felt for the previous two students.
W O W what a dramatic landing. Had he come to show off or fight? The candidate kept those thoughts to herself. She couldn't just fool around anymore. This Byakko slave in front of her had most likely been the cause of Ace and Cinque's disappearances. She'd end his life. She didn't care if he possessed vital information for Byakko's defeat. All she wanted was for her blade to drip with his blood.
"Listen 'ere an' listen good. I'm no softie like the rest of th'people you've killed. I'm not an easy target and if y'think I'm just gonna let ya walk into MY home, kill MY friends and get away with it, you've got another fuckin' thing comin'. I ain't scared of ya. Come 'ere and lemme slice your head off right 'ere, right now!"
Sice took her basic fighting stance as she began her fluid movements, circling around her target. She'd paint the wall with this bastard's blood.
He could hear a gruff female voice calling out into the distance, echoing throughout the empty streets. Rubrum had never looked this empty before.
With the news of two student deaths, the government had been keen to keep their citizens indoors to ensure their safety. There was an enemy lurking within the city walls. The Suzaku military had been dispatched all over town to search for the culprit, but hours had passed and they haven’t even found a lead.
He stood on the rooftops, wordlessly watching the ponytailed girl wander the streets below. She was looking for him, he knew. Her tattered red mantle indicated she was a student too - and of all classes, she had to be from Class Zero. This joke had been way overplayed. He didn’t even find it funny the first time.
He kept his distance, watching her from afar. He really wasn’t in the mood to fight another student, especially when he killed the last two, but if worst came to worst…he supposed he had no choice.
At this point, even she had her own doubts about her decision. Two students had gone missing. Such a situation caused a stir in the government. They had placed the entire area under indoor restriction. None were allowed out of their respective homes. She felt regret inside as she continued to stride the streets of the city.
He could be anywhere...the murderer. He could be in the next alleyway, in someone's home...or even on the rooftops. She kept looking in all directions. Wait...what was that?'
She had spotted a white mantle flowing in the wind atop one of the rooftops. She had found her target. She shuddered slightly as her scythe materialized in her hands. Had this been a mistake...? Would she just end up dead like the rest of them?
"No way...No way am I lettin' ya even go so far as t'touch anymore of my friends...."
She wouldn't die. She COULDN'T die. It'd only prove to be a disservice to those that have died at the hands of this ruthless machine.
"Come down 'ere an' face me like a man! I'll fuckin' kill you 'fore you even realize it!"
agodfromthemachine replied to your post: It didnt make sense. The candidate knew something...

WELL YOU DON'T HAVE TO RIGHT NOW
OR AT ALL JUST DO IT IF YOU WANNA OK ;v;
It didn't make sense. The candidate knew something was going to go wrong. She had been right. Two of her classmates had gone missing. And whether they were dead or not, she didn't know. All she knew is that someone, someone working for the Milities forces, were knocking out heads.
Was it foolish to wander out of the Peristylium alone? Probably. However, she wouldn't let this continue. Sice had to do something about it, find the cause, and eradicate it. She didn't care who it was. They'd end up dead like the rest of her victims.
"I know you're out there somewhere! C'mon an' show your face already!"
