Here's why I think japril are getting endgame
In the S17 premiere, Jackson gives a speech to Richard. He tells Richard "your wife's not here. And why is that? Because you sent her away. I know with all of my being you need to get over your stubborn pride and go after her. Bevause you're never going to get over it. And you're damn sure not getting over her."
Premiere plots usually have some sort of hint of where a characters season is going. Always have. Add to that, Harriet was in the episode with her cute little "you're not a step mom"
April is the one thing Jackson can't get over. He said it to Maggie's face in season 15. He's still saying it to Richard 3 seasons later.
MARK SLOAN. I don't care I will never believe they had Mark say "when you love someone you tell them" and it wasn't a direct nod to this scene with Jackson
After which Jackson literally stood up and stole the bride at April and Matthew's wedding
Debbie Allen posted the japril 4am video and captioned it "is there hope for Japril ❤👀" why even hint at a romantic coupling. And don't start with Matthew either. That was so whack even the actor who plays him was a japril stan. They rushed into a marriage because they were lonely and had just been through some very traumatizing things. Their marriage falling apart given their history of April leaving him at the alter for the guy she now co parents with is the least shocking news ever.
I think Jesse is leaving and I think he wanted japril endgame. April's not coming back to give him some pep talk. Robert Avery is here for that. Or from what I've read convince him to be with Jo of all people. Jo? Really? Jo and Jackson don't even feel each other like that. They're booty calls. Jo isn't going to gaf Jackson gets back with April. They haven't even had a scene in like 3 episodes. I think JW will possibly still be around sometimes to direct Grey's or Rebel if Grey's is still on.
Good news is there is only 2 weeks to find out!
