We started Spring Break with our California Girls club event @ Skyfox! Everyone threw on their best beach wear and danced all night long. All the money raised from this event is going towards our annual Adelitas Conference that will take place this Spring Quarter.
Supporting Nu Alpha Kappa at their Shakey's fundraiser! Within the Greek community we stick together, support and love each other :)
We ended founder's week cleaning up Venice Beach! We took our first step into adopting a section of Venice Beach for Heal the Bay. We will be cleaning up Venice Spring quarter and next school year as well! We love making the environment a safer and cleaner place for everyone !
Founder's week Day 5! Alphas and alum enjoyed a relaxing Friday at Boomers. With finals around the corner it was the best study break we could ask for.
Day 2 of founders week: We honored our fallen Calla lilies by giving out chocolate and white chocolate covered calla lilies to everyone on campus. We also supported Pi Kappa Phi in their Pedal for PUSH to raise awareness and money for people with disabilities.
March 10th was the start of APS founder's week and a very special date that started it all! Thanks to 13 lovely women we are the wonderful organization we are today!
Founder's Day BBQ @ Whittier Narrows Park! Alphas from around the nation came together to enjoy a fun filled Saturday that included yummy food, games, laughs and so much more. It was a fantastic experience coming together to get to know sisters from different chapters and creating bonds that will last a life time.

March 1st marked our Alphaversary! est. 1996. 18 years of sisterhood, community service, cultural awareness and academic excellence. Once a sister, always a sister. We will keep carrying out all our purposes throughout life and will always rock that baby pink and royal purple with pride! Friends by Chance, Sisters by Choice Amigas Para Siempre! OTB!
January's Sister of the month went to Stephanie Gonzalez! She has shown amazing leadership skills, while taking on multiple positions such as sergeant at arms, pledge coordinator and new member educator. She is a big reason why we have the newest addition to our organization! Congrats Steph, you deserved it. Keep leading ... keep growing <3
We ended our month of love with a movie night! Our hardworking Alphas took a break from work and school to relax and catch a movie at the Harkins Theater in Chino Hills. Ride Along had us laughing til the end. We are now ready to tackle our finals and end the quarter with a bang!
This month Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority, Inc. has suffered a terrible loss of a very valuable sister and human being, our sister Nancy Zepeda. She was President of Pi Chapter at Eastern Washington University, Alpha Class #11, as well as one of the Establishing members. She passed away in a car accident on February 21st, 2014, along with Ashley Gonzalez, which was interested in joining APS. Our sister Erica Polito finds herself in critical condition, however we have received news that she is showing signs of recovery. Our hearts go to their families during this difficult time. They will be missed but they will always remain in our hearts because they will never be forgotten. Nancy's legacy will never be forgotten and will carry on forever. "You can shed tears that she is gone or you can smile because she lived...You can remember her only that she is gone or you can cherish her memory and let it live on". Our sister Nancy and Ashley, were exceptional women of values but unfortunately their journey among us had to come to an end. Our sadness can not be described with words, but at the same time we are honored to have had in our lives such amazing and passionate women. May these two angels rest in peace, and we send all out strength to Erica Polito who is undertaking her most important battle. Our love for these ladies is infinite. Much alpha love to our lovely sisters of Pi Chapter.
Just one of our beautiful sisters, Patty Paz, enjoying a day at Disneyland with her Greek friends from Sigma Kappa and Zeta Tau Alpha! We have definitely been showing Greek unity this month and will continue to do so. In order to make the best out of CPP Greek life on campus we need to support and love each other. OTB <3

Since the beginning of Fall Quarter we have been working tirelessly to fund-raise for our annual philanthropy event "Up 'til Dawn". Together as a Greek community we set a new record of money raised! We raised $42,235 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, double the amount we raised last year. Our chapter surpassed our goal of $600! All the teams gathered at the Bronco Student Center on Saturday night, Feb. 8, and competed until dawn the next morning in three team challenges for a grand prize. The whole meaning behind the name "Up ‘Til Dawn" is to pay tribute to the patients who sacrifice many nights of sleep fighting for their lives. CANCER NEVER SLEEPS AND NEITHER DID WE!
On February 7, the Alpha ladies turned the grill on and grilled the best bacon wrapped hot dogs Cal Poly Pomona had ever seen! It was the start of CPP's Basketball Homecoming weekend. All the clubs on campus we're selling food and other goodies, while the students danced to music and ice skated in a make shift Winter Wonderland rink. All the money raised went to St. Judes: Up Til Dawn. We are proud to day we made over $400 profit :)
On February 5, Alpha Pi Sigma went to support Sigma Lambda Gamma at their coming out show! Lambda Sigma Gamma is Cal Poly Pomona's newest sorority on campus. That night we truly represented Greek unity and gave a warm welcome to their Ambitious Alpha line. The beautiful ladies in baby pink and royal purple had a blast and met many of the new members from SLG. We will be having upcoming socials and will be doing community service events with them next spring quarter!
