He lowered his camera, as it had been poised and at the ready; Ted couldn’t quite understand her hesitance, but then again the minds of girls, and what deemed appropriate appearance, had always been an enigma. He thought she looked lovely. Nodding, he offered her an encouraging smile, “Looking lovely, and fully in the holiday spirit – if that’s what you mean. Y’can say no of course, if you really don’t want me to – I understand. But I think y’look positively lovely.”

At his kind words, the brunette’s lips curled into a smile too wide to hide. She instinctively tucked a strand of haird behind her ear before her eyes met his. “ I’d never come across someone wanting to put together such a peculiar present, ” she surmised. “ I still think it’s a nice detail, nonetheless. I’ll comply, ” Margot shrugged, her smile becoming less pronounced, yet lingering in a way.

“ My picture ? ” Margot asked, brows raised in a mix ot surprise and confusion. It was just a matter of seconds before the red took over her cheeks ---- at the moment, she looked like a MESS. She motioned at herself. “ Looking like this ? ”

Amelia walked through Diagon Alley with a Harpies Assistant Coach shirt on. She had gone home for the holidays and offered to help her mother with work. She was loving running around and completing tasks for her mum while she prepared for christmas. It was never easy to run a quidditch team and prepare christmas for nine people and whoever those nine people invited. Amelia entered Quidditch Quality Supplies and pulled a list out of her pocket. There were a few things her mother asked her to get. Beater Bat Was the first on the list and she headed straight to the section. She was reading the next thing off her list when she bumped into someone. “I am so sorry” she said “I wasn’t watching where I was going”

Margot currently looked like the picture most people had of ‘mad scientist’: her dark hair had previously been pulled up in a bun, which now simply looked like a mess of curls. Her thick glass rested on the bridge of her nose, and the bright color of her sweater had already drawn more looks to it than Margot would have hoped. For this couple weeks, she’d be working at the QQS,and currently, her arms were wrapped around a box containing scrolls she had to drop off at another of the alley’s establishments. Her mind certainly somewhere else, the girl’s train of thought stopped as she came in contact in contact with another solid→ person.

      “ Fulbert the-- ! I am so sorry, I was---- wait, you’re Amelia Bones, aren’t you ? Your mother is Rose Bones, ” she exclaimed, motioning at Amelia’s shirt as she bent over to pick up what she had dropped. Then, amidst the chaos within the shop, she let out a hand. “ Margot Ruth. Admittedly, I’d wanted to interview you in the past, but I never had the chance to. ”

“ You’ll look stunning, there’s nothing to worry about, ” Margot nudged Emmeline in the most gentle manner. An amused smile spread across her lips. “ Why, thank you. However, I’m pretty sure all eyes will fall upon you. ”

“ Have you thought how you’ll do with your hair yet ? ”

Emmeline smiled, plopping down on the edge of her four poster. “But which one do you like better?” She asked. “Wait- are we supposed to coordinate? What are you wearing love?”

“ Honestly ? ” Margot arched an eyebrow, scanning at Emmeline from head to toe. “ RED, ” she pointed at it, her lips curling into a grin. “ It contrasts nicely with your skin. Red’s the color of passion, love, anger ---- and adventure, ” she chuckled. 

“ I’m wearing -- ” Margot turned around to pick up the dress and show it to Emm -- “ salmon. I think we’d look nice, seeing as we’d be wearing warm colors. ”

“What do you think?” Emm asked, twirling in place and watching the red dress flare around her. Emmeline wasn’t one to be vain, but once in a blue moon she enjoyed getting all dolled up with the rest of them. She turned to face the person in the doorway.“This one; or the other one?”

“ I love the color of this one -- reminds me so much of Christmas, ” Margot commented with an air of dreaminess. “ The other one, however, had a lovely cut. ”

“ What would you like -- to look festive wearing the most beautiful tone, or showing off your figure ? ”

“ Let’s make a bet: however steps on the other’s toes more times pays for a round of butterbeers for the two. Agreed ? ”

   alejandro didn’t think anyone would know him around here–part of him was praying that no one would notice him if he was being honest. but he spoke up. “yeah, that’d be me.” he confirmed, thankful that she didn’t go on and on at him. his attitude on the pitch was loud and obnoxious compared to how shy and quiet he was in real life. “wow, thank you… uh..” he trailed off, as if waiting for her to interject with her name. “and thank you for showing me the way. i ‘ppreiciate it.”

“ Aha, ” she replied simply, briefly shifting her attention to finding the page of her book she’d left off. “ It’s--I’m Margot, ” the brunette shrugged, sending one last smile his way. “ It’s nothing. Oh, uh... Gryffindor’s hosting tryouts, if you’re interested in joining their quidditch team. And I’m sure McGonagall would be glad to give you a map. ” 

She’d already made her way in the opposite direction when she turned around. “ See you around, then ? ”

   nodding slowly at the small reminder of where her office would be, he repeated it a few times in his head, hoping he would remember it. it was just hard for him navigating around when english wasn’t his first language, when he was incredibly shy and didn’t like talking to anyone. “me?? spain.” alejandro spoke, a small smile remaining. “seville to be exact.”

After going down the hall, she turned left, not saying anything during that part. Her pace became slower then, stopping completely as they came across a staircase. “ Are you the student who plays for the Spanish National Quidditch Team ?! ” her factions lit up with a mixture of admiration, excitement and curiosity. Margot wasn’t a quidditch player herself, but she’d studied tactics from a handful of european teams alongside Hogwarts’s teams. She made an attempt not shoot off at the mout & start bombarding him with questions right there, keeping her lips pressed instead while a faint smile remained. “ I’ve studied your tactics, and they are utterly BRILLIANT. ” She cleared her throat, motioning at the stairs afterwards. She saw no point in holding him back when they’d arrived to their destination. “ The office is upstairs. You should knock three times before entering, though. ”

   he was smiling at the attempt to speak spanish back to him, his lips curling to restrict it as his eyes floated to the ground. he hadn’t made an impression on hogwarts yet—because he was so quiet and withdrawn. he didn’t want to cause anymore trouble. alejandro just followed behind margot, keeping his mouth shut as if he was a lost puppy following its owner. “…thank you.” ale whispered after a few seconds of silence, his hands behind his back as he walked tall. his posture was practically impeccable and he wasn’t lowering his standards for anyone here.

“ You’re welcome, ” Margot replied, turning back to face him, a courteous smile lighting up her expression. The situation made the smile remain -- she’d helped a handful of first years find their way around in the past, but the last case had been quite a while back. “ So, where are you from?” her logic figured that if a person called out to you in a foreign language, said person was not from around. “ McGonagall’s office is a small room that overlooks the Training Grounds and the Quidditch Pitch, ” the brunette explained as she kept moving, with the aims that, would he ever want to find the office again, he’d remember the small tip.

     “ So, where are you from ? Mexico ? Spain ? ”
