Some thoughts off the top of my head.
I haven't had much time to draw for myself lately, mostly because of a university project (tempera is taking a long time and i still have 16 pages to finish) but also because Epic has given me a new hyper fixation and i don't know what to do with it.
It's like a curse to find fandoms and be a year or two late to the party. But on the other hand, i've become really interested in mythology. You can't be late to that party, it's been around for, what, like 3,000 years? i've always been interested in listening about that kind of thing, but never really done it on purpose. I have a period of loving history. And i've started to miss the feeling of falling in love with a piece of land and a time period and digging up everything you can find. Only last time it was a pretty niche topic, i could easily give a cultural history tour of my hometown now, but i highly doubt you, dear readers, would ever get around to that place... but i genuinely love this stuff.
But as for greek mythology, o boy, this stuff is so vast. My head is exploding. The last time i felt something like this was when i had a german class at school one day, then i went to talk in english with my discord friends, and in the evening i thought “ooo it would be cool to see how letter combinations are read in french!”. long story short, i couldnt sleep that night because of random words in 4 languages popping into my head. (i still dont know french or german by the way, which is sad)
Another problem is that I want to draw something on this topic, but since this thing is very old, there are designs here, but there are thousands of them, which means they are not there. And my brain activity is not enough to digest the volume of text, stories and heroes AND create something based on cultural experience, exhibits from the museum and my own imagination.
In short, everything is complicated, I hope that I will survive the session and not blow my brains out along the way.
