赤い公園 (Akai Ko-en) or Red Park is an all-girl four piece shoegazey indie rock band formed in 2010. They made their major debut under EMI Music Japan in 2012. The band consists of members Chiaki Satou (佐藤千明) on vocals and keyboards, Maisa Tsuno (津野米咲) on guitar, Hikari Fujimoto (藤本ひかり) on bass and Nao Utagawa (歌川菜穂) on drums. Unfortunately there isn’t a whole lot of information on the band as a whole in regards to their formation but their japanese wikipedia page suggests that they started off as “copy” band in their schools light music club. So if you really wanted to you could imagine them as like a real life version of the girls in K-ON. How accurate this is I dunno, nor do I care, what I do know is that they’re a really good band and they have atleast four notable releases out to date. While I’m not really fond of uploading music from bands that are still active due to the obscurity of this one outside of Japan I figured it was only fair to upload the three I have myself. 透明なのか黒なのか (Whether The Black Or The Transparent) 2012 ランドリーで漂白を (Bleaching Laundry) 2012 今更/交信/さよならは言わない (Can not say at this late hour / communication / good-bye) 2013 Anyways this is 今更 (Too Late) off of their 2013 ep that I provided above.
