Painted commission for Altairey with their characters Wicke and Vincent walking from darkness into the light. This is meant symbolize the commissioner graduating. :3 Congratulations once again! :D

Paintings are always a bit scary for me to do because, unlike cartoony styles, I don’t know if it’s going to turn out well I’m about 2/3 done. If it’s not turning out well, it’s also much harder to do any revisions at that point compared to toony stuff. Fortunately, this one “clicked” earlier than expected, so it made it a surprisingly chill commission to work on. ^^

I think being on vacation in the countryside rubbed off a bit when painting the atmosphere here. Also found a cool pine tree on a hike and thought it would work well for this scene. :) Commission for altairey. Thank you!

A delicious watermelon washes up on a beach, and it changes the lives of two otters forever.

Ottermelon was created over the course of a month, comprising of a ten minute running time and nearly 500 drawings. It’s been an incredible journey making this, and I hope you all enjoy my newest short film, Ottermelon. <3
