In 2014, Russia annexed a part of Ukraine (Crimea) and since then has been funding and arming Pro-Russian separatist and terrorist groups that have seized Donbas, an eastern region in Ukraine. Russia has been funding a civil war in Ukraine, essentially. Recently, the separatist groups have been sending civilian women, children and elderly out of Ukraine and into Russia, but leaving fighting-age men inside. These separatist are directly controlled by Kremlin (the government of Russia) and they are how Russia has been leading a proxy war on Ukraine since 2014.

But now, Russia has sent their own troops in, which is an invasion. They are doing it under the pretence of ‘peacekeeping’, but this is an obvious lie.

Russia accuses Ukraine of aggressing on Donbas and on Russia, prompting the war on Russia and conducting genocide on its own people. None of this is true. Russia is the one arming Pro-Russian terrorists in Ukraine, Russia has been surrounding and provoking Ukraine with military, and is the one that has been spreading misleading historically-inaccurate disinformation. It’s what Russia did in Georgia in 2008 and similar to what Germany did in Poland in 1939.

This means so much to me, you have no idea. Scales of Fate holds a very special place in my heart, as both a labor of love and the first full story I've ever successfully seen through to its end. The girl was, by all accounts, equally as shocked to learn the truth of her lineage as the rest of the world. Though as a child with less than a decade of life behind her, the significance of her existence fell on largely deaf ears.

Which was why, after a great deal of bargaining that involved aircakes and a real, actual bed, the young princess had few qualms about Solo and Chewbacca whisking her off to the safety of Aldera, where she would learn to embrace the ways of courtly life under the protection of the Royal House of Organa...

Sunlight, too bright for Canto Bight, blinded her for a moment, her eyes squinting against the glare. She twisted slightly, forcing herself to sit up as best she could given the ache in muscles. Her red dress was gone, replaced by a soft sweater that was much too big for her. That was concerning for a number of reasons, but more pressing at that exact moment was the fact that she had absolutely no idea where she was.

It didn’t appear ominous. A fire burned across from the enormous plush bed, coated in enough cream and white blankets to keep a newborn warm in an ice storm. Unlike their hotel room in Canto Bight, this space was bright and open, with tall vaulted ceilings accentuated by the enormous window that looked out on… were those… mountains?

Shit.

Hey guys ;)

So, after all this turmoil with the leaks I felt really inspired to draw some Reylo… (I know, freaking FINALLY right?)

It really doesn’t matter what happens tomorrow. Over the last 4 years, I’ve only spent a few hours watching the movies anyway. On the other hand, the time I spent reading the amazing fanfictions you guys write, gushing over the incredible art you guys make, going crazy over the metas that pop on my dashboard all the time, drawing each one of these pieces, I can’t even try to count them all. This fandom is beautiful, and it’s not because of Disney, it’s because of you guys ;) Isn’t it all that matters?

Thank you so much for all the support you guys gave me through all these years, I plan on drawing LOTS of Reylo still! (I was in fact really inspired, so I have like, 6 or 7 new sketches, including some NSFW that I’ll try to find somewhere to post).
