Soooo I started a comic recently. There's only 3 episodes so far, and I only just got out of the intro backstory so there's not a whole lot right now. But if anyones interested, its about this girl (I say girl, she's an adult) and her 2 friends discovering they have powers n stuff, and fighting monsters, and along the way the protagonist finds out what really happened surrounding her mother's death. I don't have an update schedule, but I plan to upload at least once a week.
Since idk how much I'm going to be posting here, if you still want a comic of mine to follow, there's this. I want to put most of my effort into making this so I probably won't be active here anymore, unless my hyperfixation suddenly comes back haha.

Heya! Long time no see. I suppose I should update yall after 9 months, still not sure if I'm coming back anytime soon, but I'm okay. I genuinely don't remember what i was doing with @lumin-two so Im prooooobably gonna delete that blog. Don't remember at all the story I wanted to do with that. Still think about this one from time to time.
But yeah, thanks everyone for hanging around, I appreciate yall. It's been a while since I drew any pokemon/mewtwo stuff, so Im probably rusty haha.
Really sorry for making this blog and then not posting anything, but something has come up, and, for the foreseeable future, I don't think Ill be posting anymore. My situation at home has taken a turn for the worst, and I need to focus my time on trying to find a job, or streaming or doing commissions. I dont know. Im struggling big time guys.

I was hoping this would all blow over, but since it's continuing to happen, now with people attacking other artists of the commewnity. I'm putting out my two fucking cents! Cause this whole art/character theft and pointing fingers, who stole what from who bullshit it driving me up the fucking wall!!
Long story short, it started with me and one other blog whose name I won't mention publicly. Despite the horrible light they tried to paint me in, I don't want anyone going to this person and ganging up on them. This person had some serious bitterness towards more "popular" artists and claimed that I've made characters similar to theirs and once used a pose they apparently used before (which was a very common pose, considering it was a reference from the game version of mega Y). Since then, they had desperately tried to conjure up evidence, narrowing down to the most miniscule detail how I've been stealing from them when I hadn't even known their blog existed until I was forcefully thrown into that unnecessary drama with the unhinged call-out posts they've made. With this being said, I'd like to point out that they never came to me or addressed this concern with me in the first place. They had every opportunity to privately DM me if they had suspected I was "stealing," but no, simply because they already made up their mind that I was a thief, that was a good enough reason to lack common fucking sense and decency, making what should have been a private issue public, going on to villainize and dehumanize me. And apparently, it hasn't stopped with me either, cause recently I've been seeing other artists in the community having to deal with this where people are being white knights on high horses, pointing fingers on how one artist's mewtwo looks "the same" if not "totally identical" as another artist's mewtwo. I refuse to believe it's a coincidence. But what makes me disgusted is that since TC's post, apparently it's had the opposite effect on some people and they're hopping on this blame bandwagon like it's some damn media trend!!!
This is NOT okay! Nothing about this kind of behavior is funny! It's upsetting to all of us. We dont need you causing problems where there isn't any, thinking you're doing us a favor! The majority of us are adults for gods sake! We are old enough where we don't need other people coming to us being tattle tails saying this person did this and that. That's what little children do! If you suspect any form of theft, I think I speak for ALL creators in this commewnity that we'd prefer you DM us privately saying something like "Hey, I think this person is copying you, might wanna look into it." And if possible, provide a link to the art in question, for which we would kindly thank you for making us aware and we'll handle it ourselves from there. Just a brief, yet SIMPLE interaction...that's all we ask!!! Don't even come at me with "Well, it's scary attempting to talk to an artist that's well known." Or dare I say ~pOpUlAr~ If you claim that taking the first step to send me a quick DM makes you nervous, yet you have no problem making public call outs in posts or asks, belittling and degrading what could actually be innocent artists doing nothing wrong, literally leaving yourself open to all kinds of comments and opinions from all kinds of people....I'm sorry but your anxiety isn't as bad as you say it is then, if being rude and ignorant in a public post/ask is easier for you. If you come to us, shaming someone else who 9/10 probably isn't doing anything wrong, thinking you'll be in our good graces for doing so, sorry, you're not going to be told, "Good job!" with a pat on the back and given a lollipop! You're just being an asshole.
Quick reality check for everyone who's made it this far before I end this train wreck of a rant:
People can have similar ideas that coincide with one another! There's only so much you can do when a whole community is focused around drawing the same character! We mainly draw mewtwos and mews, you're bound to find a plethora of similar colors, patterns, and designs because of it! Creativity only goes so far when trying to stay true to a character and not stray too far. It's not a crime to take inspiration from other artists' characters, we actually encourage this! It makes us feel good that you liked something we've done and you want to incorporate it into your own designs! It makes us happy that we inspired you! The line is crossed when someone does a literal copy/paste of a character down to the exact detail, and they call it their own original creation. That my friends is what stealing actually is!
I’ll be honest, I’m not the best person to talk about this because I haven’t experienced it for myself or even seen it, but I feel like I should say something.
Be kind. Be understanding. Be sensitive, think ahead at what your action could cause, and for the love of everything don’t involve everyone in your personal drama. It’s not funny, it’s not ‘the right thing to do,’ it only makes things 1000x worse for everyone, including you.
We are a commewnity first, and that involved handling our problems responsibly. Like adults, whether or not you are one. Think about how your actions could affect someone before you do it. Keep it between you and the person involved. And for gods sake, don’t go make a huge callout post accusing someone.
It’s that simple. Just choose kindness. Choose to be aware of how your actions affect people. It’s a choice, all of it, so make the right decision.
I honestly don’t know if these posts are doing more harm than good, but leaving it unsaid seems just as bad. It needs to be said, and people need to listen. It’s important to spread this around.
so in regards to some recent community events
there have been some events happening in the community that unfortunately remind me of old happenings in previous fandoms, so I'd like to just put my two cents out there about the situation.
Mewtwo is overall pretty simple character design wise with a pretty simple palette. You'd seen how I have made some variations with a limited palette and they all still have some connection to the original purple and pink, or green and yellow. Because of that I know that I can't honestly expect someone out there might make a similar mewtwo character with colours close by, assuming that can never happen by coincidence is just unreasonable on my part, even when you add stripes as a nod to mewtwo's clone starters
So with that being said I think one needs to be reminded in this community that similarities are going to happen, be either colours, stripes, spots, accessories like glasses or scarves and not one of us owns that aspect of a design because sometimes you can only do so much with them while still trying to stay true to the original mewtwo
If there IS ever a situation where you might think perhaps there is another person out there who's designs lean closer to yours you should ask yourself first, is this a common thing? Does this artist have a history of copying everyone else, do they copy story ideas too or is it just in terms of appearance?
Once you consider that one should ask themself, how do I approach this? Simple, you send them a private message and you ask them. I can guarantee this community for the most part is pretty reasonable and I doubt the receiving end will bite your head off for asking. What shouldn't you do? smear them, making public call out posts accusing said person of theft with no evidence
That is what people did in my old community for the Lion King, and believe me when I was much younger I fell for the trap of making call out journals on thieves myself but that will never make the problem better, it just escalates the situation and makes it more complicated and stressful. I have dealt with genuine copycats in the lion king community, I have someone who has leeched onto both character aspects and story beats from me for fifteen years and counting at this point so at this point in my online career I've gotten better at telling coincidence from purposeful copying or theft. And the Lion King fandom has devolved into a sea of finger pointing and accusations, stealing and fighting. I've seen it happen every now and then here in the mewtwo and mew community now
Do not turn this community into what the Lion King turned into, we can be better than that, we can be adults and face the matter like adults, we can't be reactionary, we can't be twitter

And you're really gonna look at me with the art side by side and go well duh the art style is different even if they're near identical so can't be stolen (you can still, steal something while having a different artstyle???)

Can't copy the exact posing 1 for 1 as somebody (read nobody (save for me bitches cause I'm pissed) since people don't like to call out bigger popular artists for things like this and just let it slide because 'wellll we like this artist better so they can steal allllll the time~!' which guys popular or not it ain't fucking on), but yea can't just do the exact same so alter just enough to make it pass off as original (didn't work literally saw it in passing and clocked it right away and had to scramble to check and make a comparison refer my beloathed)

And I know swearing might damage my point but, just, I can't stand seeing or hearing about my friends getting treated like this having their original content taken and warped by other people who know to some degree they can get away with it, it's gross, if you wanna take inspiration you credit that appropriately hell even ask permission and respect if the og artist says no.
I don't think this panel should've been made or it should've been a helluv a lot different. Things like this is exactly the reason I'm scared to share my original ideas online, in case it gets taken and used specifically by this artist because I genuinely can't trust them at this point from what I've seen I don't want my ideas to be taken and then be brushed off with a "oh I've always wanted to play with this idea/it's always been implied actually! Don't look into why it's only showed up now after somebody made a post about their ocs with the same idea" cause being the lesser content creator guess what? I'll be the insane one if I say anything, I'll be told I'm wrong and have people jump my content claiming I've stolen or something because that's unfortunately how the Internet works! I've already had my works warped in a way I cant really even talk about! I know I'd probably look mad or like I was grasping at straws if I said anything then or now and at the time I valued my safety my comfort online and enjoyment online over saying anything and hey maybe I was wrong and the ideas were simply similar, but I doubt it. I know I could dig up and provide my references at least for my work, at the time when asked they couldn't do the same.
But this is my friend, and I'm not gonna let this shit slide anymore, I know this isn't the first thing this artist has, 'taken inspiration from' I use with heavy quotation marks, and I hope to fuck it's the last. But I don't know. I'm not gonna sit in silence about it anymore though, I will be calling it out as I see.
Plugging other people's artwork and original ideas character designs traits ect into your own to replicate to boost your own art makes you no better than ai art, because it takes without consent and spits out something warped and stolen.
This might come off as angry and petty and bitter, because it is, but don't mistake that for jealousy, I don't want what they have I'm not talking about this like a jealous ex trying to sabotage their fame because I know this is probably gonna damage my online rep and experience far more than theirs (or maybe I'll be lucky and this will become a tumbleweed in the desert) I'm talking about this because I want this kind of behaviour to stop. More popular 'better' artists shouldn't get free reign to plagiarise and pocket concepts from smaller artists just because they can, my friends content is not your fucking strawberry patch to plunder, it's not yours to take ANYTHING from. Make your own fucking original content. You've got your fame. Stop taking from us, leave us alone.
Evidence of Potential Theft Perpetrated by Tumblr User @/mewtwoandme2 / @/mewtwoandme
This is a bit hard for me to write. I know that people frown upon call-outs, and the “best practice” is to DM the involved parties. Frankly, I am highly uncomfortable with contacting Mtam at all. This is not an isolated issue, and I have no desire to approach Mtam with an open hand when I believe that they have already taken from it so freely. The two blogs belonging to Mtam that I am aware of, @/mewtwoandme & @/mewtwoandme2, have been blocked since 12 July 2024.
I am doing my best to present an objective timeline of events as I understand it. Obviously, I am no mind-reader, and I am not in contact with all involved parties. I am also not in the Commewnity server where I assume people share concepts and WIPs, so I have not seen such in-progress work by Mtam on the artworks and concepts laid out here. I also do not follow Mtam or hardly any of the more popular Commewnity artists; the only way their artwork comes across my dash is through reblogs from other users. I used to follow Mtam and other popular Commewnity blogs, and Mtam even used to follow me from @/mewtwoandme2, but I severed those ties about a year ago via un-following and soft-blocking.
Before I go on:
I understand that we are all in a niche corner of the larger Pokémon fandom that involves numerous users working from the same four base designs: Mew, Mewtwo, Mega Mewtwo X, and Mega Mewtwo Y. There are bound to be similarities, especially in combining the traits of the various base species. I know I have OCs that look similar to other users’ by pure accident, or by cheeky anons describing a TRRC drop-off as similar to another user’s OC in my Pokémon IRL (@blastedoffagain) askbox. Any of these instances alone might make me raise a brow and ultimately move on; many of them did. It is largely the combination of these multiple instances that puts knots in my stomach.
DO NOT harass any users involved in this situation. I will block you and recommend they do as well.
The Glasses:
I drew glasses on a Mewtwo OC of mine named Lavvy that a good friend gave me years ago. The concept was largely private until I decided to use the same structure on @mushroom-for-art’s Mewtwo OC Maybe. He loved it, so they are a canon accessory now, with my permission! Only after this did we see Mtam’s Blu get glasses of the same structure. Neither Mush as Maybe’s owner nor I as the artist were ever asked if the concept could be used on other people’s OCs.

Imp & the Ideal Shiny:
Imp is @mushroom-for-art’s version of the Mewtwo from Pokémon: Genesect and the Legend Awakened. Clearly Imp’s markings escaped unscathed, and the colors are far from exact. Mush and I still remain uncomfortable. The side-by-side shows that both palettes follow the same pattern, but lighter and shifted in hue, sporting higher-saturation eyes. The darkest parts of both designs’ tails are particularly close to one another. Mush particularly feels Mtam’s shiny was drawn similarly to their feminine ‘Two proportions, possibly referencing Imp’s canon gender.

Syn & Legion:
I still don’t really know exactly what to say about this. The stripes, the darker sclerae, the sassy personality, the pawpads, even the lore of the synergy being injected into him and erupting out, albeit at different points in their lifespans. Much like the Ideal Shiny vs. Imp, the palette is lighter and shifted in hue, while the eyes are brighter in saturation. Legion is also just a few inches taller than Syn’s 7’01” (215.4 cm), and it is known Syn’s own synergy stone will grow to consume his body as time goes on due to its exponential needs. Like the overall post, it’s less the individual similarities and much more-so the combination of everything that makes me exceedingly uncomfortable. It feels to me that they copied every trait that distinguishes Syn from his canon Pokkén Tournament counterpart.

The Mega Evolution Panel:
This is what made Mush finally make his post. It feels like the same panel, only with a few things made different such as the head being turned the other way, the fingers being closed into fists, etc., along with the expected difference in artstyle. My panel looks similar to the canon mega evolution sequence from the games because I used it as reference, especially for the preceding panel with the orb thing. Even so, Sivith's legs are angled the way Six's are moreso than the canon sprite.

Apparently ya'll have…. never heard of taking inspiration from other people???????? Hell, the concept of MY blog was inspired by some people in this community. On top of that, that mega newt panel is a common anime thing? I couldn't give you any examples rn bc I have a bad memory, but I know Ive seen it several times.
Should they have asked before taking heavy inspo? Yeah probably. But there are literally ZERO original ideas in the world anymore. You think of an idea and I guarantee somebody has done it before you.
Also, kiiind of hypocritical? Ya'll are literally taking direct inspo from the pokemon series, according to this logic, none of us should have blogs in the first place. And the colour palette thing??? I didn't realise people had intellectual property over colours.
Ya'll are ridiculous, I'm blocking you and moving on.
