where i’ve been (and where i’ll be going)
hi. so first off just want to apologize. (why tf do i feel like a youtuber recording an apology video??) anyway, i’m sorry for just ghosting tumblr for the past few months.Â

the reason why i’ve been so ‘disconnected’: i’ve fallen out of touch with storytelling in ts4. the whole taking screenshots and writing diaogue thing no longer felt like a hobby, but more so a job; a chore. when i first started storytelling, i never wanted it to feel like something that i dreaded every week. school just took up more and more of my day, and by the time i got to working on my stories, i was just exhausted. my writing was not my best work, and half the time i was really just half-assing it. i just needed something to put out, and i wasn’t happy with it. everything was rushed; setting up scenes, taking screenshots, editing, writing, whatever. but i still love the sims, don’t get me wrong. i went to clean out my mods folder, clear my game of all cc, and i just got so delighted with the thought of playing the game for myself. hence, why i’ve been avoiding tumblr. one day turned into another, until months came by w/o me posting anything. everytime i logged on, i felt guilty about writing this up, but i realized we all deserve closure.
going forward: ok, so what now? is what you might be thinking. (to whoever’s reading, thanks for not unfollowing and sticking with me through all the bullshit.) i’ll be leaving tumblr. my blog and all its content on here will stay up. i dearly love the sims community here, even with all its bad moments. i’ll be staying here for the next few days, just for cc and whatnot, so shoot me an ask if you want. if you wanna talk to me, my discord is always available (patricia#7328), so pls dont hesitate to talk :). maybe one day, i’ll be back once i find fulfillment in storytelling again, but for now, goodbye. i love you all. hope you have a good day.Â
