Black & White Fabric Crafts
Black and white fabric crafts allow you to use your creativity to make clothing, decorating items, accessories and more items as personal as you would like. You can make a variety of patterns with your craft choice such as stripes, polka dots, circles, hearts, diamonds, snowflakes and other patterns. Using black and white fabric gives your craft project the contrast you may want.
Scarf
Create a black and white scarf by cutting the black fabric into a rectangle length of your choice. Cut 12 small strips of white fabric measuring approximately 1 inch in width and 4 inches in length. Using scissors, poke six holes into the end of each side of the black fabric. Push the white fabric sections you cut into the holes on each side. Secure each white fabric section to the hole by making a knot in each white strip.
Checkerboard Place Mat
Make checkerboard place mats for your table with the black and white fabric by cutting the black fabric into a rectangle or square. Cut the white fabric into your preferred size smaller squares. Place fabric glue on the back of each white fabric square. Glue the white fabric squares strategically on the black fabric. Spread the fabric squares out to create your own checkerboard design. Continue the process to make other checkerboard place mats.
Fabric Ball Display
Cut various lengths of the black fabric and white fabric. Roll each cut piece of fabric into a ball. Tape the end of each piece of fabric to its own ball to keep it from unfolding. Place a black fabric ball into a glass cylinder. Place a white fabric ball into the same glass cylinder. Continue placing the balls into the cylinder until you fill it. Position the glass cylinder in the center of a coffee table or display table.
