Hi friends. I have noticed there’s a lot of negativity on my posts lately.

Almost every comment is nitpicking at whatever the post says. If you have any genuine issue with what I post, you are free to comment on it or message me, but that doesn’t seem to be what’s happening here. It seems like it’s a nitpicking contest. 

I posted an Elon Musk quote about how if you work 80 hours a week, you’ll be twice as far as someone who’s doing just 40. Instead of taking the post for the meaning of it, which is that sometimes you need to put the extra hours in to reach your goal, or that if you put that extra time in, you’ll go farther, all of the comments said things like “well I love my job but I’m not doing 80 hours weeks,” and “I can’t work 80 hour weeks because I have kids.”

I posted something about how it’s your fault if you’re bored. At least half the comments were about major depression. Being depressed and being bored are completely different things. You may describe the feeling of being depressed as being “bored” but you know damn well that they’re different. It’s honestly insulting that anyone would ever think that I meant that one annoying friend that has no hobbies and whines all the time is the same thing as serious mental illness.

I posted something about how if size mattered then the elephant would be king of the jungle. The POINT of the post is how it’s all about your drive and your gusto that matters. All of the comments are “well, what if the elephant doesn’t want to be king of the jungle” or “it’s not about measuring dick size.” First of all, no one brought up penises. Secondly, you’re completely missing the point.

My posts are meant to motivate. 

A lot of times, that means looking at the meaning behind the post.

Michael Jordan was successful. Does that mean you need to shoot 100 free throws every single day because he did it to be successful at your own small business? No. That’s ridiculous. It’s about putting the work in every single day and doing that would actually help you.

I really like to keep this blog as a place of positivity, where everyone can feel safe and it’ll get you motivated to go kick some butt today, but it’s turning into a really negative space.

So from now on, no more nitpicking. No more crappy comments.

This is a happy place, so bring a happy heart and a good attitude.

Every child who has had the “stranger danger speech”, the “sex talk”, has seen news about a child being raped, or is a minor on social media (especially Tumblr/Reddit) KNOWS that there are people attracted to children. And yet, all children’s lives are NOT ruined by knowing this.

Attraction does NOT mean action. Fantasy is NOT reality.

actually, attraction to a child CAN ruin their lives.. it’s basically saying that you are sexually attracted to that child, and that can make them unhappy, and maybe even disgusting. if a child finds out that an older person is attracted to them, then that can make them extremely uncomfortable. you shouldn’t be attracted to children in the first place because you are an ADULT, and they are A MINOR. children shouldn’t have to know that there are people out there that are sexually attracted to them.

Runaway Guide P2: Just-In-Case Pack

The Just-In-Case Pack is the perfect, stylish new look for the ~radical~ teens who are abused by their parents but who aren’t exactly sure when they want to get away but definitely don’t want to be around when their parents inevitably have another huge fight.

Most often you should choose a backpack for this so kids at class, teachers, and most importantly your parents won’t question it. Though a lot of backpacks are too small for this list, so try a suitcase or a duffel bag while your abusers aren’t home, and hide it some place they won’t find but that’s quick to get to so you can grab it and get away quick. If you can, find a hiding spot -away from your home and your abusers’ access of course- where you can daily bring one thing at a time from this pack. But since you also have to bring school stuff every time you leave the house, you shouldn’t bring the entire list of items here all at once.

So here’s what you need in your pack:

•three blankets, one small pillow

•tooth brush, tooth paste

•meds if you need them

•laptop if you have it

•4 sweaters, 2 short sleeves

•5 long pants

•6 pairs of socks

•tent

•flashlight and/or nightlight

•phone charger

•a LOT of nonperishable food. My go to is White Chowder 😍 so I pack 10 cans of that and I have 10 at school in my locker too, just in case I run out. 10 chowders is worth 5 days, no less, so bring 10 of whatever and only eat 2 a day when you aren’t able to stay with anyone.

•matches and knives, not for weapons I swear to God they’re so helpful 😍 tho I hunt if I get too hungry when I run away but they’re still useful if you aren’t weird like me

•5 bottles of water, 1 bottle hand sanitizer

•$50. Use $5 a day tops if you aren’t at a friend’s house but believe me I’ve used less a day so try not to spend it on cookies or whatever. And if you need it, you probly aren’t staying anywhere, so guilt trip your friends into giving you money because they’ll definitely feel bad for not being able to give you a room. Otherwise they’re assholes and you shouldn’t be friends with them dude.
