2) We might delete your ask if you do either of the following: say slurs, doxx someone, say something so mean and evil that even we don’t find it appropriate to publish, DIDcourse asks etc. We reserve the right not to publish your ask if it’s just going to trigger a useless debate that no longer has any relevance to ArtFight (i.e ”It’s not about race” asks) If a topic is dragging on too long and becomes a strong point of tension we have a right to cut it short or put it on temporary pause

I mean this very seriously when I say: stop engaging with the blog. This is common for all drama blogs. If you are mentioned, the sooner you stop engaging, the less the anons have to go off of. You may think you are clearing the air, but you’re just giving them more and more fodder. Don’t engage and it will come to pass on its own in a few days.

Does anyone else have a hard time actually talking in the discord channels? I’m not blaming anyone and perhaps it’s because I only joined a few months ago and don’t speak much, but I find that when I send a message it just kinda gets ignored. Even if I respond to someone.
I know I’m not owed a response but it feels like I’m literally invisible. Or perhaps I’m not enough of a regular just yet.
last year one of my ocs got attacked ALOT over my others, and then I actually thought about it and realized it's probably because that oc is my pfp, username on everything, and the second oc on my character list.
Also not to toot my own horn but...they're interesting while being simple. But it's 100% mainly the first thing. I do love this oc so I'm not complaining but I kind of realized that my layout looks like that one Lizzo meme or wtv so ppl see this oc and go "yea checks out, they'll probably like art of this one"
what do we feel about refs with information that's handwritten? i like handwriting anything on my refs cuz i just feel like actual text looks too static next to my art and it irks me so badly. i try writing everything neatly, but i wonder if handwritten text can irritate some people or make them click off the character
Does any actually look for bookmarks/characters using the "fan characters" tag in tag search. I feel like it's far too broad for me to find anything bookmarkable/of my taste, much less anything of the same fandoms as me, & I'm in a shit ton of them!!!!!! I'd rather just search for individual fandoms using their specific tag. the only purpose i could see for that tag would be if you were looking specifically for non fandom OCS & wanted to blacklist them, but we don't even have that feature yet!!!!!!!

Is it generally appreciated when suggestions for attack ideas are in a character's description? I noticed that some of my characters without super obvious interests/theming have really suffered the past two years.

Remembering back in 2023 when an artist nitpicked the fuck out of an attack I did because I didn't get the EXACT measurements right for their character. Like they told me "Thanks but her tail isn't exactly 2 feet long like in the reference. Also her scar is 1 inch shorter than usual on her left eyes. Also her wings are supposed to be 1 inch away from her waist, not 2 inches. Also her necklace is supposed to hang just a few millimeters off the ground when she's bending down, not hanging near her arms. Also the green you used for her ears is just a few shades lighter than on her ref. I put the exact hexcodes on the-"
Dawg I literally just drew what I saw on the ref sheet. I have never felt more annoyed than ever reading that comment. I'm not perfect, maybe I missed a few things but I swear I didn't massacre the character. It's a pokemon oc btw

If someone doesn't explicitly state 'YES feel free to include me in mass attacks' would you include them?
I ask since there are always confessions from folk who admit they don't like mass attacks, but after meticulously going through profiles/permissions to make sure I don't miss a 'NO DON'T INCLUDE ME' I noticed most people don't mention whether or not they would like to be in a mass attack at all.
Sending dms doesn't seem like a solution cos then you're waitin on someone who may or may not be too anxious to even respond, and only including people who state 'YES' shrinks the pool by a bunch.
I don't want to be including people who don't wanna to be in them, but in my opinion if you don't say NO, I consider you neutral on the matter and are fair game - am I out of bounds?
