Hiii. Love your posts. Quick question: based on what we have seen in HFW, do you think there is a chance Avad will play a bigger role (possibly romantic) in the next game?

In my personal headcanon, I can see the leaders of every tribe together in a war room scene, and after that Avad chats with Aloy and they both confirm their feelings for each other.😍😍

Then when all is done, they travel the world together and have children (named Rost and Kandaman)

Anyway sorry for ranting. I would like to hear your thoughts.

I feel like we will definitely see more of Avad in the next Horizon game, for sure. I would love to see him meet Hekarro, and they both end up admiring the other’s tactical ruling of their tribes.

In HFW I didn’t even expect Avad to have a big part in it, however the thought had gone in to creating that whole scene we see, with Aloy’s reactions, her blushing(!!) listen, Aloy has no problem telling people to back off, but the softness in her voice, the way the devs have animated them both, I feel like they wouldn’t have done that had they not been planning something for these two.

the other major thing that stood out was Avad saying he’d step down as ruler, this gives him a way out and a chance to be with Aloy.

I definitely see the possibility of them being endgame ❤️ or if the player get’s to choose between several scenarios, they will be an option at the end of the game.

Sun Queen AU • Emeritus Avad Redesign

Because Avad abdicates the throne to Aloy in this AU, his position turns into one more like a prince or the highest of nobles. “Emeritus Sun-King Avad” — Still technically royalty, but not in a position of extreme power as before. As such, he does not wear the full royal gold, red, and pure white. No crown, limited jewelry. (More context below)

Context: Avad’s reign is under scrutiny after the events of Nemesis and Itamen is not accepted as heir by the Carjan people,(like there has been several dozen assassination attempts on Avad at this point) so he proposes a political arrangement to Aloy. She is the only one he can truly trust to run the kingdom whom the Carja also adore.

After their marriage (an action to get the court to accept her) and as his last act as king, he anoints Aloy as heir apparent and then abdicates.

Kotaloy is love, Kotaloy is life, but I gotta say... The fandom did Avad a bit dirty. Like yeah it's quite likely that he's not right for Aloy, but he doesn't really wanna "make her his queen" at the start of Forbidden West? And he's gotten his people to make concessions where possible to make her more comfortable? (limited welcome, a smaller statue).

He says he doesn't want to keep the throne and see the world, perhaps join her on her adventures (granted, he doesn't really know the nature of those, but she also hasn't really explained it to anyone at this point) so like... He pretty much wants to interact with her on her terms??

Idk, Kotallo remains my main man but Avad is good. He's a good boy and I like him. I hope he does get to travel the world, with or without Aloy.
