this show is going out of it's way to make sure Mel and Frank have a shared niche interest, kingdon canon #tome
I saw a post saying that Robby’s speech about supporting women who need (emergency) healthcare (in 2x14) fell flat with them because the women on staff didn’t get enough screen time, as if the whole point of the episode wasn’t about Robby finally openly admitting he’s suicidal rather than seeing his behavior from an outsider’s perspective and as if that whole scene wasn’t showing that middle-aged white men in leadership positions should be advocating for all of the women in their lives whenever they get the chance.
Polin Week 2026 ☆ Day 4 ➳ Favourite Colin Moment(s) ↳ Colin 'I love my wife' Bridgerton
Digby has truly been the kindest soul all season. Him reassuring Emma— earnestly, sincerely— that she's doing a great job on her first day, speaking so softly and kindly, maintaining the same easiness and appreciation he's had all day, is the nicest thing to see. He deserves everything.
He’s developed this exterior that’s very amenable. [He] doesn’t feel like anything bothers him, yet clearly, in the middle of him, there is this side that is running away from something. Even with the mistress offer, it’s sort of quite a neurotic thing to do. It’s like trying to compartmentalize your life, this reluctance to give someone everything. It’s quite refreshing because he has a very soft exterior, and then there’s actually this center that is a bit more controlling, which is a surprise. — Luke Thompson
LUKE THOMPSON as BENEDICT BRIDGERTON BRIDGERTON | seasons 1-4
he's the best and most accurate representation of a mental health crisis i've ever seen portrayed on television. it's extremely triggering in a way that i leave each episode feeling like i can't catch my breath and i want to sob. even with this preview i can already sense how much it'll haunt me.
he cares so much. he's clinging to the walls of that hospital which is crammed with the people he cares about most and it's destroying him. the place is beating him down and he wants to run away and end it all but like any suicidal person - it's the single most terrifying thing in the world to give into the inevitable and let go.
I am sorry I was late to bed last night. Michaela kept me up until midnight. Your guest kept you up. Lord Taylor would not leave! But you did not help things by encouraging his nonsense about barley.
