/presents her with a nice bouquet of hawthornes (symbolization for the birth month of may), lilies of the valley (also for the month), & plumerias (new beginnings). oh, and a red velvet cupcake w/ a candle on it!!! uwu

                  Truth be told,      wanda had nearly   forgotten   the upcoming date that marked her birth. it was strange; she had grown accustomed to always sharing   her birthday with her brother— not to say the day did not still belong to the both of them, no, wanda just was not used to celebrating without him. she could recall memories of birthdays they shared as a child; even sharing the same cake, so accustomed to seeing both their names written beautifully in frosting. 

    it was little things like this she dearly missed.

it was only when stizza had presented her with these gifts did she remember the date, feeling a lump in her throat at the thought of having to celebrate this day without him. ( it was something she was certain she’d never grow accustomed to. ) a small. solemn smile tugs at the corners of her lips, gaze switching between stizza &. what she’d presented her with.   “ i … thank you. this is very sweet, you did not have to, really --– but, yes, ” she takes the bouquet in one hand, resting them over her arm as she looks them over fondly. she finally returned her gaze to stizza, an almost ecstatic smile donned over pale features. she was careful to set the cake on a nearby surface, extending her free arm to wrap ‘round the shoulders of the shorter woman. “ thank you ... ”
