Because we absolutely adore, admire, appreciate (and any other A+ words) our favourites over at the Funhaus office AND to celebrate the friendly and welcoming community: we present to you: Fanhaus, a community (fan)art project!
Initiated by Kit (@kiticath & @kkiticath) and Manon (@forsartenvow & @forsakenvow), we, along with the Funhaus community and fans, will group together to make a collective (fan)art book for Funhaus. We encourage every fan(artist) to join us in making this possible (established to completely new within making fanart for Funhaus or new to art in general!)!
At the end of this community project we hope to have a hardcopy (fan)art book full and packed with your work at the ready to send over to Funhaus themselves to enjoy! On top of this, we would like to publish a digital version for all of the community to enjoy after it’s been finished as well!
How to enter your artwork:
Draw something related to any of Funhaus’ shows, both on the Funhaus YT channel or the Funhaus RT website. This can be related to any time too, it doesn’t have to be recent. Any and all members (ex-, new or main) can be included!
Your artwork doesn’t have to be a group picture. If you’re more comfortable with other formats (a single portrait, two of your favourite members, a lifelike painting of Benson,…) they are welcomed too!
Make sure you give us some details about you. A name (real name, internet handle or both), the websites we can find you on (optional), your Twitter and/or Tumblr blog (optional as well), so we can fully credit your work.
Guidelines for your artwork and submission:
Your artwork must either be drawn/painted digitally or be a high quality scan or photograph of traditional art, so we can print it in the highest quality possible. We would prefer if this image file can be at 300dpi.
Please keep portrait (standing or on its side) dimensions in mind when you make your artwork!
There is a limit of two artworks per submission. We will most likely use one page per submission, which means we can either publish one artwork on a full page or two artworks side by side on said page!
We fully acknowledge that Funhaus will probably see this project before we’re even close to finishing it (and thus won’t be able to keep it secret), BUT please refrain from posting your artwork after you submitted it to us! We would love to at least surprise Funhaus with all the unseen artwork!
As much as most jokes and references are probably accepted: keep in mind that obscure “NSFW without reason” will probably not be accepted.
Your submission(s) can be send to [email protected]. It would help if you put “Fanhaus project submission” or something similar in the subject title.
Submissions will be accepted starting NOW (mid-july) and will be closed on the 1st of October. (We will do our best to work on finishing the product as soon as possible after that date and will keep you updated on the process!)
(NOTE: We will NOT judge your artwork on any “skill level”. I know a lot of artists, in any community and any setting, have anxiety and worries about their own work and tend to be extremely critical of themselves. If you’re worried about this: please don’t! We will accept and appreciate ANY and ALL hard work that any of your community members put into this!)
We are super excited to start working on this project and hope that a lot of fans and fanartists within the community will be able to group together to make this project work! We look forward to all the submissions and can’t wait to see what all of you will work on.
