I used to know a man that could now I barely know the boy who's standing in the place he should. I grew up with sheltered dreams inside a cul-de-sac I wish someone had told me that your dreams are meant for sleeping in. And no one wants your living them How much longer will hurt? I can't think of nothing worse. Saw my future clear as day now it's grey. Think I'm getting tired of taking bullets for you feels like all these sharp blades are giving me back pains. You don't even notice what your putting me through. I let you down you haunt me now you built the bridge I broke it down. I'll never know, now I'm a ghost that used to be I wanted more then lost a piece.

born to zeus & hera raised by alcmene & amphytrion.
grew up in athens, greece. moved to thebes when he was eighteen to find philoctetes.
at roughly the age of seventeen hercules began to have strange dreams about a city in the clouds that was home to the gods. he would wake the next morning with a sense of longing for mount olympus and recall realistic conversations with Zeus. one morning he rose with the previous night’s dream still fresh in his mind, where Zeus had told Hercules he was his father and that if he became a hero he could restore his god hood and come home.
after confronting his parents Hercules was told the truth, that he was adopted as an infant. His parents knew no more about his heritage than he did. With the wisdom of Zeus still ringing in his ears Hercules set off to Thebes to find and train under Philoctetes, one of the greats. Phil had promised to help Herc go the distance.
however ten years is a long time to chase a dream.. and sometimes that was all it felt like. A lucid dream from an exhausted teenager with no friends, did he make it all up? Sometime around the twenty five mark Herc began to tire out, he came to Los Santos as a last resort to find trouble in the hopes of also finding purpose. but three years later all he has to show for it is a crummy rental apartment, late nights and regret of wasting his twenties chasing something that definitely didn’t exist in the first place.
Devlin’s got his head down, focused on his phone – his clients, if you will. And maybe that’s his fault, maybe he’s asking to be bumped into and practically thrown to the ground. He’s light, lithe – not much to him, so colliding with a force such as this formidable young man knocks the blond to his ass, his phone skittering out of his hand and across the pavement. He huffs a sigh, blowing a curl out of his face as he looks up at the other, reaching his hand out as if he expects to be helped to his feet. “My ego’s more bruised than anything. I guess we both should have been watching where we were going.”
Hercules darted forward all limbs and awkward, rushing to the mans rescue. It was the very least he could do considering he’d caused the damage in the first place. A strong hand reached out as Hercules tried to pull him back to his feet as graceful as he possibly could. “I’m so sorry-- these corners are just-- well I mean its mostly me-- I’m so sorry Sir.” embarrassed and unable to make eye contact he stammered his words, before searching the ground for the gentleman's phone. Hercules retrieved the cell from the path and handed back to the man with a sheepish expression. “...is it damaged? .. I’ll pay any expenses, I’m so sorry!”
Roger had left his apartment in a flurry of movement, sheet music flying as he leapt to grab it and shove it back in his bag. He was running behind but that was how he usually functioned, five minutes behind at any given situation. He decided against stopping for coffee but he did grab a bagel before scampering out the door. He crashed into someone hard enough to knock the air out of him and send him stumbling but he held onto the bagel like his life depended on it as he looked up. “Oh, no worries mate. You alright?” He took a bite out of the food in his hand and looked up at him with questioning eyes. “I should watch where I’m going!” he exclaimed with a laugh.
A pang of relief washed over Herc as he exhaled with a chuckle, he hadn’t realized just how tense his body had been waiting for an answer. The very last thing he wanted to do was hurt anyone... and by now he really should have learned to be more careful. “No yeah fine man!” he nodded, scanning the guy in front of him for any kind of injury. “Nah that was all me.. I got to be more careful.” I am a hero afterall. “You sure you’re okay? No broken bones or egos?”
Herc was in his own head again, planting doubt in what was already a sea of uneasy. As another dull day had passed along with another sleepless night he was now overtired, overworked and overthinking. As he made his way down the street with his hood up to hide his face sporting exhaustion, he turned the corner with rapid speed colliding into another. He blinked in confusion having not even stumbled (being strong had it perks!), he pulled down his hoodie to reveal a tired but kind expression ready to offer an apology. “Uh oh! I’m real sorry, I should have kept my eyes up.” he began. “Are you okay? Not uh, hurt or anything are you?”
