Project Update
This is a difficult kind of announcement to make but unfortunately progress on Tuesday’s Child will be stopping indefinitely. You might have seen the post from Hom @opochrisma regarding this - the short version is that they aren’t able to continue working on the VN. Since they’ve been co-writing/directing visuals/illustrating since its inception, it’s clear that the project is not something that can go ahead in the way we’d hoped.
After several years of passionate development, this isn’t the outcome I wanted. I believed in this story, in the project and its characters, and its audience - all of you who’ve been so deeply invested and endlessly encouraging. I am immensely proud of what Hom and I have made so far and the demo we’ve released.
I also understand that creative works of any size are a commitment, and this one was always going to be a challenge. People’s lives and free time and priorities shift - sometimes it’s unavoidable that things won’t work out. There are plenty of unfinished projects sitting in my files, and endings are not always within our control. But I admit this one hurts.
What next? I don’t have a clear answer yet but I do know that Tuesday won’t be abandoned. He’s too vividly alive; Sinclair still has too much to say; I’m too stubborn. My job was being the words guy so I’d like to do what I can with those. Ideally the story of Tuesday’s Child would be released in a more text-based form (book?) in the early part of next year. There are decisions to make and details to organise first, and I’ll update further in the next few weeks, but in the meantime I’ll be here as usual. Thanks for your patience 💚💚💚
