Real life Nancy Drew moment
I know everyone is really impatient about MID - but honestly, I wouldn’t worry about it yet. They probably want to release it around October, right? That would fit their usual production schedule from before the hiatus (May/October) and the game seems to be Halloween-y/spooky so that makes sense too. With that being said, we usually don’t get information on October games until mid-August. So it’s still really early. I honestly wouldn’t worry unless it gets to September/October and we still haven’t heard anything.
Also, I’d honestly rather wait longer for a decent game than for them to release another crappy one bc I don’t think I could handle that disappointment
(also as someone who’s basically majoring in game dev, it takes a LOOONNNGGG time to dev 3D games and they probably have to do much more beta testing this time around bc theres probably a higher chance of glitches)
Exactly! Most series don’t get TWO games a year. We’ve only waited a year so far - not a big deal in the slightest considering they’re switching engines. Think about the new Zelda game - it’s been delayed a handful of times now and was originally supposed to be out in 2015 but won’t be released until 2017. This isn’t unusual at all.
I’m still waiting for Kingdom Hearts 3 and it’s been 11 years don’t talk to me about delays.
anyone seeing nancy & red on his observing platform:
i never had a scene phase but legend of the crystal skull came out when i was thirteen & i was obsessively attracted to henry bolet does that count
i had a scene phase and i will guard those pictures with my life and also burn them
deirdre is this fascinating anomaly i mean she has every appearance of your typical mean girl archetype and endeavors to uphold that kind of sassy ‘keep your boyfriends close’ kind of persona and yet she shows that she’s so much more layered than that and she’s capable of being vulnerable and she harbors feelings of insecurity and loneliness and actually really does admire nancy and maybe even secretly considers her a friend
not to mention she’s incredibly smart?? like she’s a gd criminology major and she casually uses words i only ever encountered on the sats like girl can get it academically

I’m curious about what fields people in the clue crew work in/want to work in…
I’d like to work in something involving computer science, I think, or maybe something involving education? I don’t know, I have trouble picking what to eat for lunch.
Student affairs so I’d be working at a college as an advisor, career counselor, or maybe even university president one day! My real dream is to open a bakery though!
K well I wanna be famous on reality TV haha but if that doesn’t work out (it won’t) I’ll probably work in activism/advocacy
I’m in banking but idk what I want to do forever. Fun fact I did an internship in criminal investigation and was really leaning toward that for awhile but not so much right now.
I’ve always worked in the arts & literature. I’m a published author and illustrator and I had a small graphic design business a few years back doing mostly book covers for indie authors. these days I keep busy running an etsy where I sell art and framed prints. and I just started selling goth antiques and interior decor stuff there as well. I also do a lot of commissions for tattoo designs & hopefully will be apprenticing to learn machine tattooing someday. but then, as drawn as I am to tattooing, being able to dedicate a lot more time to being a goth antiques dealer is also really appealing.
I want to work in special effects make up, I’ve even considered auditioning for the show Face Off when my skills are up to par. I’ve also been seriously considering going back to college and pursuing a degree with a major in history and a minor in anthropology so I can work in museums, preferably ones that focus on western america, civil war, and Native American culture
I do a lot of stuff in book publishing right now, specifically the agenting side of things. I’m leaning toward getting out of the field though, since I find it’s distracting from my actual writing, kind of disheartening, and just not worth the effort it takes to break into the field. I have no idea what I’ll do instead, though. I might go back to school, but in an ideal world I think I would just write and make things.
I really love hearing what everyone wants to do! I’m looking for ideas because I really have no idea what I want to do. My major is political science-international relations, but tbh there’s really nothing in that field I’d be good at?? I changed my major so many times but never found anything I really liked. I’d change it again but this is my last year of college so I’m kind of out of time…
i graduated with an art degree in metals, and have some medical training (i was a year shy of becoming a nurse before i changed my mind, which i might go back to it eventually), and i sell/repair jewelry on the side, and i work at a blood bank part time, help with my tribe’s language preservation, and am thinking about pursuing a masters degree in historic preservation (but i’m really not sure if that’s what i want to do in the end).
i still dream of having nancy-esque adventures, though. once i figure out how to do that, that’ll be awesome. also, running a restaurant in the future? too much ambition and too little time, as my grandpa used to say.
I’m going into college now as pre-med, hopefully I will be a surgeon someday. For undergrad though i’m going to major in mathematics and biology, and then hopefully go to medical school!
Digital artist. A piece of mine was in SCK Remastered awhile back. For years I mainly did CD/DVD cover art in that style, but recently totally rebranded (under a name inspired by Nancy Drew fuck yeah) and switched over to what I really love, which is illustration and character design. Freelancing for now, but down the road it might be fun to do visual development for video games or something.
I just graduated with a degree in English because I thought I wanted to write for video games (bioware games in particular) but then I realized how toxic the mainstream video game industry towards women so I scrapped that plan and realized I actually want to work in the theater industry, specifically as a costume designer. I have a job at a local theater lined up and I thinnnnnnnk I might try to more to NYC soon.
message in a haunted mansion:what's the creepiest thing you've experienced firsthand?
So last week I was at my parents house because my sewing machine is there and I’m making a costume for Comic-Con, but that’s beside the point SO my mom had gone to walk her dog and my dad and I are sitting at the kitchen table. Fast forward about 10-15 minutes and we both here a knock on the door. Like a solid knock-knock-knock, my dog immediately reacts, getting up to look at the door head all tilted cause he’s expecting someone there. I don’t get up because not my house and not my problem because strangers. But then I get curious because I’d figured my mom locked herself out and I look through the glass part of our door and there’s nothing there. I mention it to my dad and he looks at me confused because he heard it too so he gets up and goes outside and meanwhile I’m panicking because I’m two weeks in to a Criminal Minds marathon and I’m expecting for all of us to die, but nope, my dad comes back in and everything is fine. When my mom came back I asked her to lock the door.
legend of the crystal skull:what's your favorite comfort food?
Proooooobably carne asada. Being from San Diego living like an hour away from the Mexican boarder Mexican food is a big part of life here and lemme just say that costal Baja Mexican is the best because omg so goooooood. But anyway, my mom always bought this same kinda of carne asada from the same store my entire life and it instantly reminds me of their home. Also my dad’s brand of coffee, one whiff of it and I’m a kid again.
Eyyyyy I got some asks
tomb of the lost queen: what lost historical artifact would you like to discover?
Does Atlantis count as a lost historical artifact? Cause if so Atlantis. Anything that has the slightest possible chance of creating mermaids I am ALL OVER it. But okay there are so many other lost historical artifacts I’d rather find like Lewis Carroll’s Diaries because oh boy I am obsessed with Alice in Wonderland AND HE WAS JUST AN AVID DIARY WRITER. Like part of what is missing is his detailed account of when he was writing Alice and oh boy can you imagine knowing what the true nature of his relationship with the real Alice Liddel was?? Tho tbh maybe it’s good that a decedent of his destroyed it.
So I guess that leaves me with the missing da Vinci manuscripts because oh boy he created some amazing things like scuba gear, helicopters, cars, and 80% of his manuscripts are GONE. Can you imagine what we would have made faster if we had them?????? Technology could be completely different.
Honorable mentions: The original Hamlet because goddamn it I got a degree in English and I’m a Shakeseare nerd and omfg I would love having that and reading that and knowing what Thomas Kyd wrote in 1589 and why Thomas Nashe trashed it. I want to know how Shakespeare changed and altered it. Lastly, all of the art destroyed by the goddamn Crusades. I’M SO MAD ABOUT THE CRUSADES. ALSO THE LIBRARY OF ALEXANDRIA.
labyrinth of lies: if you were a greek god(dess), which one would you be?
Persephone if I’m being honest. I had to do a presentation on her when I was in the 6th grade and at the start I had absolutely no Idea who she was and I was pissed and trying to trade (I was even pronouncing her name like Purse-phone. Sixth grade me was an IDIOT) But I fell in love with her when I was doing research because tbh I personally subscribe to the notion that Persephone went willingly with Hades because Demeter was so overbearing. Also Hades is the most faithful of the Greek gods. He only tried to cheat on her once to no avail meanwhile his brother Zeus is getting with everyone. So I think he genuinely loved her and that they came to love each other.

Secret of the Old Clock [x]
I love everything old-fashioned and vintage, so playing CLK is always fun for me to be immersed in the past. The Big Band music, Nancy’s blue roadster, and the decorations at the Lilac Inn all add up to an amazing atmosphere. To create an outfit inspired by this game, pair a polka dotted Peter Pan collar blouse with a tan cardigan, a bow front skirt, a color blocked satchel bag, pointelle tights, lacy socks, and oxford heels. Skeleton key earrings, a phonograph necklace, a pearl cameo bracelet, a gold filigree bracelet, floral bobby pins, a button ring, and a clock ring complete the look.
Flowers on Your Favorites (The Secret of Shadow Ranch) [x]
Flowing skirts in cute patterns are some of my favorite things to wear in the spring and summer. They keep me feeling cool and looking cute at the same time. For some reason, they strike me as something a modern Frances Humber would wear in the Arizona heat. With that theme of a modern Frances in mind, I found items that involved all her favorite flowers: Harrison’s Yellow, tulips, lilies, daisies, poppies, and sunflowers. To create an outfit inspired by Frances Humber and her favorite flowers, pair a yellow polka dotted skirt with a lacy blouse, a teal cardigan, pointelle tights, teal oxford heels, a floral phone case, and a sunflower tote bag. Harrison’s Yellow rose earrings, a tulip necklace, a pearl bracelet, lily hair clips, a poppy ring, and a daisy ring complete the summery look.

Savannah’s tree story in GTH though. One of the best and it seems most underrated little moments in the game. I was floored by how amazing it was the first time I played.
fun in the sun; games with a summery vibe that make you want to lay on the beach, enjoy ice cream, or soak in the sun.
