DING DONG! A BODY HAS BEEN FOUND!

                   『 ☢ 』→ "Kisaragi-kun, Enomoto-chan...You're all here, right?" She says as she sits up from her bed--looking at Enomoto sleeping peacefully. Megumi sighs in relief, even though she didn't like her too much, it was always nice to have company. And then the model turns around to see if Kisaragi is there--but he isn't.

"Kisaragi-kun?" she whispers softly as she proceeds to walk closer to the bed. The female puts her hand on it and is a bit taken aback by the fact that it's cold. It wasn't warm like he had just left the bed, but it was freezing--it felt like a bed that had been through an entire day without being laid on. 

That's right... she says to herself, as she looks around the room. He has been leaving the room more often, which is strange--but I think it's best not to question why. He must have been afraid of something. The female sighed as she pressed her hand to her forehead, looking left and right. He wasn't in the bathroom or was he around the area of the room in general.

"Kisaragi-kun, I don't know where you are...but, good luck. If you were that body...Forgive me for the words I said. I won't be at your trial, but I know that you'll get justice," she sighs to herself and lays down back on the bed...falling asleep with an uncomfortable lump in her throat.

Thrill Ride >> Alba & Megumi

Alba turned to face the source of the voice— He wasn’t completely sure if they were trying to talk to him, per se (he seemed to be invisible around here— but he didn’t particularly mind that since the alternative wasn’t particularly palatable), but seeing as it sounded like a response to what he had just said it was worth a shot to look.

He found himself face to face with a girl; a very pretty girl, in fact, and it took him half a second to realize that, indeed, she was speaking in response to him

Immediately, Alba felt a little self conscious; he was starting to have a weird habit of speaking outloud like that, it would seem. Maybe because he’s practically isolated in this place? To be fair, it hasn’t really caused him any trouble just yet, but it did prove to be a tad bit embarrassing.

Nevertheless, someone agreeing with him on something without indirectly insulting him at the same time was a rare sight, and Alba couldn’t help but feel a little bit more confident in himself.

"Ahaha, I guess so!" He managed to squeeze out, agreeing with the last bit of the girl’s response. "So much for amusement, huh? Why can’t things here just be… normal…? Or at least less disturbing."

Alba crossed his arms, sighing.

                   『 ☢ 』→ If Alba had said that out loud, she would smother him in kisses and thank him. People who called her beautiful made her ten times more confident than she already was--inflating her ego to the size of a very large asteroid. She basically preyed off of other's compliments.

The female titled her head and nodded slightly with a grin coming to her face. It was here, at Hope's Peak, where she discovered that almost everyone she talked to was either A) annoying, B) super mysterious, or C) too gullible. This boy didn't seem to fit in one, and she thought she might have to create a new section "D) seemingly friendly."

                She waved her hands slightly and said, "I guess it can't be helped. I hope I can find a way to fix the school--or at least save some people. And...oh yeah~ I forgot to introduce myself!" Megumi laughed before bowing to Alba. After all, she was of Japanese decent and it was the proper thing to do.

It was habitual for her to do such things--her mother may not have been home often, but she did teach her manners. When she greeted her mother she bowed, though not many families did this anymore. She bowed with her head facing down--not many people did that either.

                 "I'm Megumi Kitagawa~!! And you are?"

Thrill Ride >> Alba & Megumi

When he read the words Amusement Park on the school map, Alba’s curiosity took interest.

While he was well aware of what an amusement park was, he had never actually been to one. There weren’t exactly all that many of them back at home, and they tended to be far and spread out from each other, to boot. He wasn’t even sure if what counted as an Amusement park here would be the same as where he came from, but nevertheless, if it really was a place from amusement then perhaps he’d be able to let off some steam.

But much to Alba’s dismay, it was anything but amusing.

Monobear heads decorated an assortment of rides and stalls; the sheer effort that was put into making this place possible would’ve been impressive, had it not been absolutely horrifying. With a sigh, Alba made his way inside. He’s already taken the time to make it all the way here; he might as well try to get even just a little fun out of it.

He sauntered down what he guessed was the main road, marveling at the rides and the colorful food stalls. There were no workers in sight, but everything still felt lively in a strange way.

"… Now if only that stupid bear’s face wasn’t plastered over everything."

                   『 ☢ 』→ Megumi hadn't visited the amusement park at all, for one--it was raining constantly when the amusement park was first released. She was stuck indoors with Shintaro Kisaragi, and having to deal with his b.s. Now that she had the chance to see the "fun land," she was all for it and sparkling.

But to her dismay, it wasn't what she imagined it to be. There was Sanrio Puroland and Fuji-Q Highland she had been to, and there were workers and people flocking everywhere. Visitors were riding rides, but they looked more stressed and nervous about riding the rides. (She could see why, Monobear's face was plastered everywhere! That itself was very stressful!)

As she walked around, she heard a person speak. They were obviously concerned about the bear's presence as well. Megumi had been into the aquarium multiple times (one of which, she had went with her blonde-haired acquaintance who pointed out that there was cameras in the eyes of the fish, or at least stared at it really hard to the point where Megumi herself realized) and there were spies. Could these Monobears be spies as well, to watch the children--preventing havoc!?

                 "I agree...!! I wish there wasn't Monobear's face all around the place. It makes everything extremely uncomfortable, and nothing can be enjoyable!" She sighed as she faced the stranger, "but then again, this place wasn't designed for comfort, huh?"

" Yes, yes, of course but…"

Yamashina crossed his arms closing his eyes. It’s not really something he couldn’t do without joining forces with anyone but the idea itself certainly wasn’t bad. He was bound to meet plenty of people and Yamashina had never had any trouble socializing… It was true they sometimes tended to blather though. 

However making it organized just sounded all the more risky.. 

" Okay, so let’s say we do this…."

" You can’t really just bring them to me for interview. You think you can figure out some excuses for it? I don’t want to wake too much attention, y’ know. "

" Well, I guess I could just pretend to accidentally meet them… So well, I guess we could just both make pretenses for that. You think you can do that? Just saying it’s risky, some people are just not very cooperative."

                   『 ☢ 』→ Megumi let out a nod as she took in the words that the other spoke. Her idea was ill-prepared, so she was glad that Yamashina had corrected her. She put a hand to her chin, deep in thought as she constructed a plan inside her mind. It would be hard to become trustworthy to people on this island, unless they were very nervous or broken down by the school already.

            "Hmm...I don't want to put too much faith into our plan, since you're already putting cons right into it. I like your idea though, it sounds pretty good," She tapped her temple as she looked around the room. There were a lot of ways to investigate a person--even the most subtle notion of the fact that this was organized, though, someone could go down the drain. "I could bring them to you, you know? If you talk to someone for a certain amount of time--they'll trust you. Like we've only talked for a few so, and you already have developed some kind of bond with me, right? If I introduced you to someone that I would have been working with--which at the moment, completely honest, I am working with no one but you-- you would be under the impression that I just wanted you to meet one of my friends, yeah?"

            But then again, Megumi thought, there could always be flaws in my plan. I'd have to think this through further. She sighed and scratched her head. "Or, like you said--we could have you "accidentally" meet the person we'd like to investigate. But that's not always going to work, since what if the person doesn't trust you? Like my other idea before...if I were to introduce you to someone, you wouldn't feel as nervous to meeting them if you were by yourself, right? Since you have some kind of "familiarity" together through a mutual friend!"

          Johan was clearly used to making people believe he can read their thoughts. Well, he does have an idea on how behavioral pattern works as he’s also specialized in the field of Psychology and therefore could pretty much predict and tell what someone is thinking based on how they act. Even the smallest gestures tell him a lot. A mere example would be her deep breathing that is unintentionally echoing inside the not-so-occupied room. It signifies intense nervousness, uncertainty and perhaps a growing anxiety.

          Still, he can never find a greater meaning behind all this. Why are humans so concerned of the tiniest details? It does not entail significant amount of worth-knowing information nor does it improve the situation any less.

          ”It doesn’t sound so bad so, perhaps we are.” No one can ever be sure. He likes to infuscate behind large shadows where his face could not be seen. The only reason why he did not detest and destroy the facade he had been keeping up until now is because he shares the same feature with a certain someone. Johan could do nothing but reclined with a whisper, breaking the silence only to give a vague response. “Who knows… who knows…” The mere idea of someone else watching overtook his senses, leaving him with eyes screaming anger and lips quite ajar as he exited the room with his new associate.

          It took more than minutes for his thoughts to slam itself back to reality, but he did listen to her words despite his own mind sailing elsewhere. “My, what a coincidence,” he replied with a somewhat livelier tone. “I watch Cha$e, which is based on Run For Money.” Not at all. He had no time to pay mind to game shows and such. His interest is only spaced up with the corners of rationality and not tactics that are poorly decided by fate or by people themselves.

          Although he has yet to do things that involve being physically exercised, he’s already a waygone by just being misprised. It’s somehow adorable how students in the academy can afford to even kill a fellow student for the sake of going home. There’s nowhere for them to return to, he tried convincing himself that but can’t help but worry that he might be the only one after all. The man continued to exchange glances with her along with the occasional stares from others. Some of them were friendly enough but the monster inside him knows that he didn’t need anyone.

                   『 ☢ 』→ Knowing something that others did not was always an advantage, you could use it against them in a manipulation technique or an argument. Most humans were constantly competing to be better than one and another--so it was always better to be one up on information and other's. But maybe Johan never saw a use for that, since intelligent as he was--why would he need such a thing when things came so easily to him? The advantage was always Johan's. But of course, the female did not know this--after all they had only met mere moments ago. She knew he was different, but not much besides that sadly.

                "Oh, Cha$e? I've never heard of it. I guess I'll look into that when I get back home, yeah?" She giggles as she continues walking down the hallway, looking at the empty classrooms. Looking left and right, the air in between them was silent so Megumi took it as the initiation to break it.

The female was always the one to try to spark conversation in any place it seemed--and now that she was here, it seemed like no one wanted to talk at all. Maybe because they were nervous, who knows? Megumi never trusted anyone--but she had to just keep going forward. After all, the first way to become trustworthy and loved (with the possibility of escape!) was to make allies.

               "Do you have any favorite foods? Or anything you like to drink with your coffee?" asked the younger as she turned around the corner and opened the door of Hope's Peak. They would have to cross onto the next island now, and she was more nervous than ever. She would have to walk out in the open, and it looked like no one was there. He could easily throw her off the side of the landmass. "I like cabbage, ehehe...isn't that a weird favorite food? I like to eat it with curry or eggs! It tastes very good. As for coffee pairing, I usually just drink it at breakfast or right before work...or when I'm talking to someone like we'll soon be doing~!"

I don't want your pity, Kisaragi-kun," she laughed as she grabbed the dead body and threw it over the bridge. "Just make sure no one saw us throw the dead body over or we're screwed. I hate failing, and I think a guy as "wise" as you has gotten that to his head." She only scoffed after that, ripping off the gloves she was wearing and stuffed them in her pocket. This was disgusting dirty work. But this time she had actually murdered the person. It was amazing how both of them never got caught. Last time Shintaro murdered the person, and Megumi let herself get framed. This time it would be the other way around. Of course, unless someone caught on--which was highly unlikely since the way Megumi brainstormed the plan and Kisaragi wrote it out with his high IQ made it an almost unbreakable plan.

           "Gross. I broke a nail. I suppose I'll have to carry the nail in with me to the incinerator. I can't have evidence hanging around, huh? And oh yeah. Don't forget to throw off your jacket. I have the victim's blood, just toss it around the jacket." And then Shintaro did as told--after all it was apart of the plan.

"Shintaro Kisaragi was charged of murder on X Y, stabbing them repeatedly in the arteries until death. A jacket was found, with the victim's blood covered over the front side and on the sleeves, indicating that he was the murderer. Last trial, Shintaro Kisaragi accused Megumi Kitagawa of murder. This time, Megumi Kitagawa was not participating in the trial--however, Monobear had said an anonymous tipper "donated" some information that they had found Shintaro's jacket bloodied in the laundry pile. It is clear that it was Megumi Kitagawa since she does the laundry. Is it possible that the two worked together?"

She read the paper and laughed as she sat besides the other's hospital bed. "We did well this time. Good job, Kisaragi-kun." She grinned as she took out the victim's room key and dropped it into the other's lap. "One piece of evidence that could have been presented in court that I hid...hm. I wonder what would happen if we had presented this? I think we would have had a different outcome, no? After all, my finger prints are littered all over it."

                   『 ☢ 』→ "Kurapika-kun, do you like looking at the stars every night?" mused Megumi as she looked at the constellations in the sky...or at least the dots in the sky people called stars. She couldn't recognize any stars or constellations...just because she was never interested in astrology to begin with. They were just pretty, and the model could definitely admire them since she wanted to be as beautiful as a star.

            The female looked at the dark sky with the blinking dots and whispered, "Uwaaah~ So pretty. I think we should do this more often!" The female raised an arm in front of her face and grasped at the stars like a child. "I'm going to catch one for Kurapika-kun and we'll name it Hope after the academy. Do you like the sound of that~? I mean...after all, it will symbolize hope as well. Or maybe we can catch two and call them Megumi and Kurapika! What do you think?"

                  She stood up and forced the other to get up with her. "C'mon! Let's grab some stars!" Of course a groan escaped the other, but he had to go with her--after all, it was her day today. Unlike Kurapika's "hang out" choices which were watch horror films--she liked doing nature-y and outdoorsy stuff.

And then, they spent the rest of the night grabbing stars. They ended up naming stars: Hope, Megumi, Kurapika, and even one named Cutie! (They had tons more, but Kurapika wouldn't allow Megu to publish them since they were too embarrassing.)

                   『 ☢ 』→ "K-Kairi-chan?" Megumi whispered as she shook the girl's shoulder. She had been laying in bed for a long time now. The first time she had been let into the room (with Kairi's key--because Kairi had lent it to her to come in whenever she wanted today, since the other said that she'd be in her room all day) Kairi was laughing and all smiles. They painted each other's nails and they talked about the annoying boys at Hope's Peak. So why, why was she laying in her bed?

The second time she had checked, Kairi had been sleeping, taking a nap peacefully. She was still alive--not that Megumi doubted that she was alive now as well. She was mumbling something about Sora (all she knew that Sora was a boy that was her friend--and not one of the annoying boys) and saving him. Not that the model knew what "Heartless" were...

But this was the third time she intruded into the other's room. And this time she was still. She was not mumbling about "Heartless" and "wielding a keyblade to destroy them all" but instead she was cold. Megumi put her hand to Kairi's wrist that was clasped over her arteries--but to her dismay...blood stained her hands.

            "N-No..." said the model as she looked at her hands. She then began to throw off the sheets and screamed, "NO! NO! NO! KAIRI-CHAN! DON'T TELL ME YOU'RE GONE!" With that, she rolled the female over roughly to find stained sheets, stained with a deep crimson and the unpleasant smell of death.

             "W-Why...out of all the people, Kairi-chan? We were going to become even better friends...!!" She began to collapse onto the floor, hands stained red, and wept. We only met a week ago... and now she was gone. Kairi was no longer alive. She was gone.

And with blurry, tear stained eyes all Megumi could do is laugh. "This is pathetic...why am I crying over a girl I just met one week ago? K-Kairi-chan..." She stood up and put the girl's dorm key in the other's hand. "Fight, okay!? I'll fight for your spirit as long as you fight and protect me from above!"

                   『 ☢ 』→ This time, she was just glad that he decided not to give her laundry. She had to do three loads of laundry usually--since there was Enomoto, Kisaragi, Kokonose, and her. Now that Kokonose withdrew his laundry for the week, Megumi had only two loads! (Megumi has more clothes than all of them combined so it causes what would have been only two loads to become three.) Thanks Haruka!

And for that, when he announced the news to her, she kissed him on the cheek. "Thank you for lightening my work, Kokonose-kuuun~!!"

"How long...have you been there?"

                   『 ☢ 』→ "I haven't been here for very long...I think they just dump me here recently. Haa--I've lost track of time," speaks the girl as she gropes her shoulder in uncertainty. It hurt--it stung, it felt horrendously painful. Whatever those people were trying to attempt had failed. Megumi didn't seem to be able to see who was speaking to her, but someone found her.

She had been thrown away in the garbage room--it reeked, it really did. Her nasal passage had been congested with the smell of leftovers and discarded things. The place had a stinky feeling all around in general. Well, of course, it was the garbage room. Why she was here was complicated--but the stranger could help her out.

It was so absolutely disgusting, this room and how she felt. She needed to get out of here soon, but when she tried to stand--she would fall. You had to trust her on this, since she had tried quite a few times and her knees were bruised and sliced with cuts.

So the only way she would get out was this girl--huh? She had to lie again. "Eheh...Miss. Could you...help me out? I...was bullied, and all my currency was stolen...my room key was taken as well..My name is Megumi Kitagawa. Can you lend me a hand~?"

Aah wow can I just say you are a wonderful Megumi she's such an interesting character to throw in this au and the way you have made her adapt to the setting is great! You really do catch all those little things in her personality others may not notice as much. In other words you are a really amazing Megumi and it's a pleasure to see you on the dash.

Ouaaaaaaa?! Really?! Thanks for telling me! That makes me very happy! That means a lot to me, since I haven't written as her for two years like I've said thousands of other times--and I figured that my portrayal of her was very rusty. That makes me v. happy!!!!
