Today, Nazuna was assisting Tomoya with a contest. The boy was still nervous that there wasnât anything that made him stand out, but he and Nazuna had done their best to create a unique routine for him to perform, and Nazuna knew from experience that having a friendly face waiting for you backstage could help ease the nerves. He was well-known enough at this Contest Hall that he was able to get backstage no problem even though he wasnât performing, but when he got there he frowned as he saw a familiar face.
âWhat are you doing here?â He was absolutely certain Wataru wasnât performing today, having meticulously studied the roster to make sure Tomoya wouldnât be crushed badly enough to destroy what little confidence he had if he wasnât able to pull off a win.
Wataru had decided to show up to the contest hall with the intent of assisting younger coordinators with their acts after the contests. The newest coordinators often didn't know where to start when it came to improving their acts. It wasn't as though it was particularly difficult for Wataru to get backstage in the Contest Halls either, in fact most of the security knew it was hopeless to try to stop Wataru from going wherever he pleased.
"Why, my dear little rabbit, I'm here to support the newer coordinators. Not all of them have been doing this job for years, after all. Isn't Tomoya-kun competing today? I hope that such an average boy manages to do well in the competition, but even if he is crushed he can always pick himself up."
@cantusdomina
Lilycove city was, unsurprisingly one of the busiest hubs for coordinators. PokĂ©mon contest spectaculars, were, of course, spectacular. Wataru himself would label them something closer to AMAZING â, but that was his own personal opinion. Hoenn's contests were by far the most exciting, but they didn't have the same feeling as the contests in Hearthome. Lilycove's different livelier feeling aside, that didn't stop Wataru from performing in front of the contest hall.
He wasn't participating in any of the contests today, but a few people could recognize him from other contests. There were even contests in around an hour, and Wataru was doing everyone involved a favor and gathering a crowd. His routine was almost over, and he had already cycled through his favorite crowd pleasers. Instead of finishing with something grand, he simply made himself disappear. The sense of disappointment, would hopefully, make the upcoming contests seem more satisfying.
As far as anyone else knew, Wataru simply reappeared in front of the pokémon center, in a disguise. The disguise was sloppy, considering how much effort he usually put into his disguises, but people weren't exactly looking for him. However, anyone to carefully look at him would in fact, be able to tell that it was Hibiki Wataru, the man who had simply disappeared just moments before.
@gwylans
Wataru thought that the cliffs north of Route 208 were a wonderful place to spend his time. It was close to Hearthome, and the near constant breeze from Mt. Coronet was nice. Wataru always got to see familiar faces as well, his fellow coordinators coming to and from Hearthome, some just trying to commute back to where they came from.
Speaking of familiar faces, Wataru could spot one Slaine Troyard, minding his own business, doing his own thing. Wataru hadn't seen him in the better part of a few weeks, so of course he had to go and greet his friend. Which, instead of climbing down the cliff like a clever man, Wataru instead leapt off of the cliff, and decided to take the free fall down. The cliff wasn't even so high up that he would sprain his ankle, after all!
Flowers from his trenchcoat fell around him as he landed gracefully upon the ground in front of his friend. Bowing before his friend, Wataru immediately launched into a one sided conversation. "Count Troyard, it's been too long! You are looking as fine as ever, hopefully you are feeling fine! If you are not, I apologize, and if there is anything I can do to change your current state, please let me know! In fact, is there anything that this Wataru Hibiki can do at all for one of his old and dear friends?"
Leo had never been in a movie. So an invitation to act in one at PokĂ©star Studios was quite unexpected, but he accepted anyways since it wasnât as if he had anything else to do. Maybe they wanted someone who was known somewhat in the music industry? Although, he was probably more fit to compose the music for the movie. Definitely not an actor, but hey, heâll take it. His role was the hero, creatively called âThe Riolu Kidâ. Because he was given a Riolu to fight with. He briefly looked through the script again. But really, he wouldnât pay attention to it. Just follow it very loosely, the rest heâd rather improvise.
They wouldnât let him meet the person who would be playing the villain. Not that Leo cared that much, but he was curious. And to do the whole film in one take? He hoped he was good enough, and that his fellow actor or actress was good as well. Leo took out a pokeball, returning his Swablu (who was sitting on his head as usual) so he could step in front of the green screen.
âAh. He looks familiar. Where have I seen him..? Ahhh!! I canât remember!!â The orange haired teenager mentally screamed. But he had a part to play, so taking out a different pokeball, he began yelling.Â
âHold it right there!!â Leo shouted, releasing the rented Riolu.Â
The actor that was playing the hero seemed somehow familiar to Wataru, but he couldn't let that hinder his performance. Throwing on a mask of fake surprise, that someone would even dare try to stop the great Wata-man's rampage through an amusement park. "Wh-who are you?" In character of course, Wata-man did not think that he could be stopped, despite only having a level 15 Pawniard and a level 13 Vullaby under his belt. He had to act confident that a young hero had no chance winning against him.
Meanwhile, the Pawniard knew exactly what to do in this situation. It squared up, ready to fight the Riolu, even knowing that its very purpose was to lose in the first turn of this fight. Wataru also gave Leo his undivided attention, the way any good villain does in a climax battle. If this weren't a movie almost entirely action centered, there would be an entire monologue for Wata-man before the actual fight started. This was, however, Pokéwood. If they ever invited Wataru back, he would at least ask them to make authentic costumes.
When he heard that voice, he was talking to some visitors of the gym. Recognizing the voice of one of some few people he would go as far as calling friend with confidence, Rei surpresses a smile while he excuse himself from the crowd politely, the glass of tomato juice in his hand (which, looks strangely elegant in the wine glass. He appreciates the aesthetic, after all) was placed carefully into the table as he approaches the direction of the voice.
Rei had always known that his eccentric friend have a thing for dramatic entrance, so the rose petals everywhere was expected. In fact, he would even expect it if a dozen of pidoves were to escape from the magicianâs robe, or his mask would turns into a butterfree (not that it have NOT happened before, because Rei have, like it or not, witnessed much more amount of tricks from his friend. But again, that is a story for another day) with his umbreon on his side, Rei gracefully makes his entrance, the crowds cheering as he makes his presence known to the other, before the other brought out the topic⊠one that he have been avoiding for quite a time. 3 weeksâŠ? No, perhaps more. He have been living solely inside his casino for 3 whole weeks.
You canât blame him. His Casino is a busy business, after all. Biting his lips, he forces a smile.
âHibiki-kun. it indeed have been⊠quite a time since I did travel.â Or gotten out at all.
âBut, it is to be expected, is it not? An old men such as myself has little to no energy compared to you young'uns~.â Excuses are once more, thrown.
When Rei addresses him, Wataru had to resist the urge to bow over-dramatically, it wasn't necessary with Rei, they were friends. In fact, it wasn't necessary for most of the people he spoke to, but being extra was his specialty. He did, however, frown a little when he got the answer that he expected from Rei. Few people actually tried to get Rei to leave his casino, after all, with mixed success.
"It is a shame to hear that, though I am sure that you have been busy. However, even the elderly need to get out and spend time with the youth. That is how knowledge is passed down from generation to generation, after all! However, that is not why I am here." Â Wataru waved his hand and suddenly produced what looked like a map of the Unova region and passed it to Rei. There was a bright red circle on the map near Reversal Mountain. "While I was traveling last week, I just so happened to hear about a place that can only be called the Strange House by locals! The rumors say that it is haunted, and I thought that we could check to see if these rumors were true, or if someone had set up a faux haunted house with cheap effects."
"Regardless, it has been so long since we have traveled together, it'll just be like the years of your youth. While I do understand that running your gym is your top priority, it would warm the heart of this jester if you were to join me on this adventure, the two of us traveling together one final time." This time Wataru produced both a Pidove and a handkerchief. His Pidove settled happily on his shoulder while Wataru wiped away tears that he and Rei both knew weren't really there, as Wataru gave the 'final adventure' speech nearly every time he managed to coax Rei out of his gym.

[TEXT] I am well aware that you do not know me, however, I would like your opinion on something, fair stranger! Â â [TEXT] I am sure that you have at least heard of the famous movie series, Sharpedonado, but something about this has been bothering me for a while! Say that there was yet another movie in this already drawn out franchise, that was a Sharpedonado vs. a superhero with weather manipulation powers, who would win? [TEXT] In my opinion, while the hero or heroine could control the tornado itself, they could not control the Sharpedo inside of the tornado, and would lose. [TEXT] Your thoughts, stranger?

Wataru had always preferred live performances to recorded ones, but there was a first time for anything. He had been invited to Pokéstar studios to perform in one of their newest movies. They had hoped that some kind of name recognition would get people to watch, as some of his fans were very active. The movie in question, however, had him cast as a villain, named Wata-man. Wataru had glanced over the script, and he knew what his lines were supposed to be, but he didn't know if he was going to actually follow the script. It depended on how talented the "hero" in this film was going to be.
For some reason, they had not let him meet the other member of the cast before they started filming. Of course, they also planned on filming all of this in one take, were the budgets of PokéStudios really so low? No matter, since they planned to fake everything with special effects. They even planned on having their actors wear their normal clothes, which Wataru personally thought was tasteless. He did, however, already accept his role, and he was already in the studio, so there was no point in backing out now.
Stepping in front of the green-screen, Wataru immediately took on his new persona, Wata-man. He sent out the Pawniard that was given to him as a rental pokémon for this movie. "Go, my Pokémon! We must destroy everything in this amusement park, and there is nobody that can stop us!"

Rei's gym was by far the liveliest looking building in all of Camphrier town at night, but that was more the casino theme to his gym than anything else. Just knowing from previous visits, Wataru knew that there weren't always challengers in Rei's gym, most of the visitors either wanted to gamble or appreciate the aesthetic of the gym itself. The rest of Camphrier town however, was quiet. Not to the extent of Lacunosa town in the years of Wataru's youth, of course, but it was still quiet.
How quiet it was outside didn't matter, as Wataru just barreled through the front door in a small burst of rose petals, he was careful to not actually body-slam any individuals, but an unlucky few now found themselves covered in rose petals. "Rei! It has been far too long since someone has coaxed you out of your gym! Perhaps it is time for another adventure with me, your Hibiki Wataru?" Wataru knew that his voice would carry throughout the entire casino, he was excellent at projecting his voice, after all. Even in the off-chance that Rei could not hear it, Wataru would just hunt the old vampire down himself.
It is I, your very own Wataru Hibiki here to turn in his application! The application can be found under /app or under the links if you hover over the right sidebar! â
Welcome to PKP! I look forward to seeing some of your performances!
