    “ and it isn’t silly. it looks cool. you’re just angry because you could never pull one off. ”

“That’s odd... I swear this is where they said they would be meeting... And, for the record, I could too pull off a hood. I just don’t want to.”

    “ you’re just jealous of my physics defying hood. ” he was lucky that they had a job to do, or else she’d probably be smacking him. 

Another grin beneath his mask before zipping to the roof, eyes scanning the warehouse. “You see anyone?” He didn’t, at least- The place seemed empty.

“And, for the record, I’m not jealous. I think it looks silly.”

     “ you’re right. ” she teased, a smirk on her face. “ i wouldn’t. but you should have seen the look on your face. ” reaching over, she booped his nose through his mask.

He stuck his tongue out at her but stayed silent- He would have done the same thing in her shoes, and they were on the job. Serious time.

...After one last rib. “At least my costume doesn’t have some dumb hood.”

There was a long pause, followed by a sigh and another chuckle. “Thanks, MJ.” She always had known just what to say.

    “ y’know what? maybe i will spill more of your secrets. i’ll go straight to jameson and make sure he knows that the oh-so-powerful spider-man cries at the end of titanic. ” it was a below-the-belt blow, for sure. but he was leaving her no choice.

“Hey- You wouldn’t do that! ...You wouldn’t do that, right?” Talk about pulling out the big guns...

“Fine, I’ll quit... For now.”

    “ wow, rude, peter. just rude. for the record? i have never spilled any of your secrets. okay, except maybe that one time but it wasn’t my fault i was being mind-controlled! ”

He snorted. “Right, Gwen, and I’ve never fallen on my face from twenty stories up. I can tell lies too, you know.” A grin spread under the mask. Teasing her was fun.
