Another #donebyme protective style. Took what I learned from @teeday6 braiding tutorial and tried some twists and I love them!! Very lightweight and much less time than the braids. Thanks to the hubs @isomkuade he sort of extended and already great weekend by hijacking Monday as he put it. He surprised me with a simple but fun date night that started with making bath fizzies at the library, then dinner that turned out to be free at local Austin spot and a sketch comedy show. Just received my newest shipment of oils, butters and essential oils to make more body creams and facial moisturizers. So I'm geeked! But see this tiny bottle here? Just finished making homemade cheez-its thanks to @momables. I switched the recipe a little and used both extra sharp white cheddar and smoked cheddar. Delish!!! And it's only 5 ingredients (cheese, flour, milk and butter and salt) although I forgot to add the salt. I definitely didn't miss it! Didn't realize how many @melissaanddougtoys the little person had until were cleaning up his Legos. And this is not even all of them. I've given some away that he's outgrown as well as one or two at his grandparents. I'm not a huge fan of anything battery operated and I usually donate it if he gets as a gift. Those type of toys don't really engage nor teach them anything and you lose out on the one on one time with them. Toys like this makes them think and well as be creative and imagine. Now he does have a couple of computer toys (a leap frog and some vtech toy) but those pretty much are played with in the car on long car rides. By using wooden toys and and the ones I created myself, I saw my son learn (not memorize) and grasp concepts quickly. And he had fun while doing it. More natural and yummy goodness!! Made some apple crisps in the oven overnight. I used pink lady apples. I forgot to include the cinnamon but oh well. Will be adding these to our snack options arsenal. Now to go dip them in some peanut butter. I set the oven to 170 and placed them on a nonstick parchment sheet covering a flat baking pan. They cooked for about 6 hours. I used a mandolin so they were evenly sliced. #healthyeats #healthysnacks #toddlersnacks #applecrisps #fitmom #fitsnacks #yummyinmytummy #wholefoods
