1. Start singing in the shower again. It’s okay if your roommates hear you. You’re not bad. Well, you’re not that bad. 2. Make time to take a few deep breaths and clear your mind every day. Inhale until your lungs are filled with fresh, new air and then exhale everything that’s stale and bitter in your life. 3. Wake up early and watch the sun rise at least once a week. It doesn’t matter if you go back to sleep after. (But chances are you won’t.) 4. Read one new book every month. Come on, you used to power through a dozen books in a week. You can definitely read the same amount in a year. 5. Write absolutely everything down. Grocery lists, long-term goals, cheesy poems, family recipes, late-night thoughts, unfinished dreams, advice from loved ones, movie release dates — everything. 6. Exercise and eat well to be healthy, not to lose weight. Treat your body like your life depends on it. (Reminder: It does.)
