It's so weird to think that I only have one month left here in Orlando before I have to head back home! The time here at WDW has FLOWN by but I couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience.
The week before Thanksgiving I got to go home for two days to see my family. It's weird working through the holidays and not being able to see them for the holidays like I am used to! We did get to have some good family time though and I can't wait to get back and see them<3
Alex had a birthday on November 21 so we went to the parks to play for her big day! We did Magic Kingdom in the morning and rode all of the Mountains (Space, Big Thunder, and Splash). She failed to tell Karisa and I that Splash Mountain actually got you SOAKED. Especially if you sit in the front row. Let's just say that we walked around the park dripping wet for a little bit with sour faces. We went over to Epcot-Japan for her birthday lunch at a hibachi restaurant where they cooked the food right in front of us. It was definitely a great birthday lunch for her! Later that night we went out to Downtown Disney to do some light shopping to end her birthday.
Sadly, Karisa decided to end her program early. We miss you so much and it's so weird not having you here! Wish I could have my roomie back! :(
The next day at work I was there until three in the morning and a few of my coworkers and I went out to Waffle House after work since we were already going to be staying up late! While we were there we ran into the American Idol winner Kris Allen who happened to be sitting at the booth right behind us! He was super nice and let us get a picture with him and talked to us for a little bit. It's crazy that we run into celebrities more often than we really think we do!
Since I went home that last week I decided to pick up a shift at a different location to have some different experiences while I'm here at Disney. I worked in Fantasyland at Sir Mickey's, Castle Couture, and Fantasy Fare. It was so much fun to work there and wear a different costume for a day, but I did miss the circus!
The next morning Jenn, Alex and I went to Ohana for breakfast at the Polynesian Resort. I have never been to either before and it was definitely a cute experience! It definitely reminded me of being back in Hawaii! We got to meet some special characters like Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto! After breakfast we decided to go resort hopping and see all the different Christmas decorations. Our first stop was Disney's Grand Floridian to see the giant gingerbread house and the big tree in their lobby. It was quite spectacular to see this gingerbread house that was made completely out of real ingredients. Our next stop was Disney's Contemporary Resort to see the Frozen gingerbread house which was designed to look like it's a small world. It was adorable!
Our final stop was at the Wilderness Lodge near Magic Kingdom to see their giant Christmas tree. We definitely spent the most time here because it is a beautiful resort! (And they had a hidden Mickey challenge!) We definitely had a great time going to all the different resorts and seeing their Christmas decorations!
I did get to go and play in Magic Kingdom the other day and continue to cross off some of the things I have never done before! I finally got the chance to do Enchanted Tales with Belle! It was a really fun thing to do! You actually help tell the story of Beauty and the Beast when they first had dinner together. It was a cute interactive show! Another thing I got to do was FINALLY meet Ariel! Yes, Ariel is my favorite princess and I had quite the little freak out when I met her. I also purposefully wore my starfish necklace when I met her so that she would comment on it! That same day I met the man of my dreams, Gaston! He is such a smooth talker and a great photo taker! And a wonderful dipper. Woah.
The next day I went to Epcot to see the Candlelight Processional narrated by Neil Patrick Harris. It was such a great experience to be able to see the Candlelight Processional and be in the presence of the ever talented NPH. It was also a great night because I got to get some beer and caramel corn from Germany so that definitely helped the night!
I was lucky enough to have three days off this past week so of course on my final day off I went to Hollywood Studios with my friend Carl from work! He took me to the Art of Animation area of Hollywood and we took drawing classes to learn how to draw our favorite characters! It is so much fun and something I highly recommend that everyone does when they come to Disney! It is a 20 minute class and they artist walks you through the entire thing. He and I also watched the Disney Junior show which featured Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Sofia the First, and Doc McStuffins! Such a cute little show to take guests of all ages! Carl also took me to a show I haven't done in quite a long time, the Beauty and the Beast show! We loved it so much we watched it twice! After a day full of playing, he and I went to Epcot to enjoy dinner at San Angel Inn Resturante and had delicious Mexican food under the beautiful stars! We also got to go to the Candlelight Processional again and saw Jonathan Groff (the voice of Kristoff from Frozen).
Last night I was off work early and Magic Kingdom was open until 1 am so a friend and I decided to play in the parks for a while which was so much fun! If you ever have the chance to stay in the parks until 1 am or later DO IT. It's crazy how quite it can get! I also started the Magic Kingdom game Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, which is an interactive game that takes you around the whole park helping Merlin defeat the Villains before they take over the Kingdom! SO MUCH FUN. No matter how old you are you have to play this game at least once!
It's so weird to think that there is only 30 days left in my program! Hopefully time decides to slow down a little!
