Report from my mushroom induced adventure:
It started out nicely and then got WAY too intense and I started seeing scary things so that wasn't cool. Like spooky faces and flashes of bad things (maybe don't watch Amityville Horror before taking mushrooms?). Tried to listen to Doug Loves Movies but that had too many sounds so I had to stop that.
Most of the psychoactive weird shit with my eyes has stopped now but fuck is my body restless.
I thought I would sleep and have fun dreams but instead I've overheated, hyper ventilated because I couldn't/can't get comfy, and the only time the ringing in my ears has stopped is when the heart palpitations do their thing.
MAYBE tonight wasn't the night to do this lol
but whatever I'll be fine in a few hours, just gotta get out of bed and get water which seems to be a daunting task now

I see a therapist for the first time on Thursday tho. I've been hallucinating, my hair is falling out more, I'm having short term memory problems, my dyscalculia is even worse (I couldn't figure out how to type my PIN in today and the cashier accused me of stealing my debit card even after he ID'd me. Numbers quite literally stopped making any sense), and food has stopped tasting good again.
So yeah, not good.
Luckily I still have a loving and amazing boyfriend who is supporting me through all of this.
I'm afraid that I'm legitimately going crazy but being able to have that thought and being aware that something is wrong makes me feel like I'm just overwhelmed with life.
Having said that, nothing feels real anymore.

Bisexual and pansexual are functionally synonyms, and the decision to ID as one or the other comes down to personal preference and interpretation, and any attempt to further separate the two is driving a wedge between two communities that should have nothing but love and solidarity for one another.
We have more in common than not, and the words for our respective identities should not be pitted against each other.

There is a distinction between pansexual and bisexual but it is a very fine line, so fine that people who fit the definition for pansexual better may ID as bisexual instead for a variety of personal reasons and vice versa. But there is a distinction and acting like they are perfect synonyms can be quite invalidating.
Bisexual - attraction to multiple genders where gender is a factor within the attraction, and can include a preference for one gender over another, or attraction that feels different when it’s directed at a specific gender.
Pansexual- attraction to people regardless of gender. Gender is not a factor, you’d expect a blanket sensation of attraction regardless of which gender it is attracted to, and no sense of intuitive gender preference (though perhaps a logical one).
Notice that neither of these definitions actually exclude transgender or non-binary people and arguing otherwise is biphobic and transphobic. But there is still a distinction - practically, the issues they face and the relationships they will end up in are the same, but emotionally and subjectively they feel different.

Me reading post four: OH I never heard that distinction before. Being attracted to masculine ppl DOES feel different to me than being attracted to feminine ppl. It never occurred to me that pansexual people experienced attraction different from me in that way. Today I have learned something.

some guy who hit me up kept insisting that I also go onto another site that hosts listings for sex workers and kept pushing me and encouraging me. I thought it was weird so I didn’t respond or take him up on it.
Tonight I’m hearing that there are arrests in my city and the neighboring cities and that cops are targeting sex workers that advertised on specific websites.
Guess which one was on the list of sites being targeted by the cops. That’s right, the one I kept being pushed towards. Scary shit. Time to get a new # and phone.
Also, these raids are part of Operation Cross Country, a nationwide coordinated sting which supposedly happens every year around this time in July but certain cities like Oakland hadn’t participated last year so they’re always changing their targeted locations. These are going after outcalls but cops have no problems coming to incalls either.
These are supposedly around a weeklong so if you know any SW or are one, I’d advise not working for a week or two, which is often super fucking shitty. I know I’m going to be in a tight financial situation because of this, two weeks is a lot to not work in this trade.
