Heyyyyyyy. BLACK. Bisexual. Trans non-binary. They/them pronouns. BLM, ACAB, AND FREE ALL OPPRESSED PEOPLE AND LAND EVERYWHERE. My depression pops severely. I love my wife. 😘 And our cats. 🐈⬛️🐈
I had to miss a week of work due to COVID, and we're still chipping away at paying back my parents for helping with my partner's green card application. The current administration definitely hasn't made this process any easier or less stressful for us.
Goal: $500
Ways you can help:
- 💰 **Donate if you can**
- 🙏 **Keep us in your thoughts**
We know money is tight for everyone right now. Even just sharing a kind comment if you see me around means the world. We're all just doing our best out here. ✨
I think a non-zero number of our problems are caused by powerful people who want to abuse others not just with impunity but while also audaciously demanding that everyone like them and be nice to them.
IMO “suffering builds character” is supposed to be like a mid-workout motivation, not like commentary on the quality of people’s lives. We should always seek to lessen suffering in ourselves and others, no matter the so-called reward, and we should abandon the systems that deceive us into believing we deserve to suffer.
Suffering signals the need to address the cause of the pain, and the good that should come from suffering is a mastery of healthy tools that successfully alleviate it, not a higher tolerance for withstanding it.
Suffering inspires compassion when we feel empathy witnessing others suffer and act to ease their pain, not when we resign ourselves to our own pain.
A child cries. That’s a signal that something is wrong (physically or otherwise). Should we ignore their cries because it will “build character”? No! We listen, observe, inquire, and act to address the cause. Our words and actions teach the child that their emotions are valid and help them learn how to mitigate that issue in the future. That part is the character-building: the child comes to understand the pain-signal connection and becomes equipped, through our guidance, to ease the pain themselves. That’s how you build resilience.
I honestly think opponents of this are either abusers or religious (but I repeat myself).
Giving myself permission to not feel bad for obeying my mother’s brand-new rule that the front sliding door stay closed at night (she’s a light sleeper, I’m in the detached shed guest room, our only bathroom is in her room, and I do try to be careful not to wake her at night). She can revise the rule and lmk in a conversation - I don’t have to feel bad for simply following the rule she implemented just because it might now inconvenience her. I’m not a mind reader, and her convenience is not my responsibility.
I urgently need $321 within 2 days to complete my mother's treatment

Hello friends, 💔
My mother’s condition has become extremely critical, and her health is getting worse every single day. The doctors prescribed 4 urgent medications she desperately needs to survive, but because of our situation, we were only able to buy 1 out of the 4 medicines.
We urgently need to raise $460 within the next 5 days to buy the remaining treatment before it becomes too late. Watching my mother suffer in pain while I stand helpless is breaking me completely inside. She is exhausted, weak, and fighting every moment just to stay alive.
Please, I am begging you with all my heart, help my mother. 🙏 Even the smallest donation could save her life and give her another chance to recover. If you cannot donate, please share this message and pray for her. We truly have no more time left. 🤍
😭Urgent Emergency My little daughter Farah is now lying in the intensive care unit between life and death
Kidney failure has destroyed her tiny body, and her potassium levels have dropped dangerously low. Doctors warned us that her heart could stop at any moment. I am a broken mother watching my child fade away in front of my eyes with nothing left but prayers and hope. 💔
We urgently need €400 this week to continue Farah’s treatment and help get her discharged from the hospital.🙏🏻🥹
Farah and all our family members are also suffering from flea and insect bites that caused painful infections and sores, and we desperately need antibiotics and insect treatment.
Please… do not leave my little girl alone in this suffering. Any donation, no matter how small, could help save her life. 🙏🙏🏻
“Thank you to every kind soul standing with us during this painful time… your support could help save Farah’s life. 🙏💔”
Note: if you would prefer to pay via paypal, you can do so here.

15-year-old Nour Ibrahim’s health has been in danger her entire life due to a serious heart condition which has limited her growth. We have spoken about her health struggles in the past, you can find previous posts like this one, which includes vetting formation, in our “nour Al habil” and “nour Ibrahim” tags below.
Nour urgently needs your support once again. Living conditions for her on the street in a makeshift tent with her family, have been further wearing her health down for many months. Exposure to the elements, combined with environmental pollution caused by the IOF’s destruction of so many buildings, have resulted in breathing difficulties. This puts an increased strain on her already fragile heart, limiting her heart’s ability to beat and sustain her body. She is now in a hypoxic state, struggling to get enough oxygen.
She urgently needs a nebulizer to assist her breathing. Without this, her body will continue to shut down, and she will become comatose or worse. Please share her family’s campaign so we can help Nour breathe!! Link: https://gofund.me/e5d099ed6

just found out that there is a sudanfunds website! like gazafunds, it is a compilation of funds for people facing genocide
edit: i've added the correct link to this version of the post. if at all possible, please try to reblog this version or direct back to it. for some reason, the original sudanfunds link i put is now defunct. the correct site is still called sudanfunds and is now back up, and that's what is now on this version of the post. hope this makes sense
For two years, war interrupted my education and future plans.
Despite everything, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Engineering and continued supporting students through educational initiatives in Gaza.
Today, I am taking the first step toward my Master's degree.
🎯 Goal: $300
⏳ Deadline: 6 Days
This amount will help cover university application fees and the first steps toward graduate studies.
Missing these deadlines could mean postponing my dream for another year.

In addition to 15-year-old Nour’s ongoing health issues, Nour’s sister Noha recently developed a severe stomach ulcer due to an infection induced by drinking unsanitary water. This ulcer is causing Noha extreme pain and digestive issues, and if it is not treated very soon, will lead to internal bleeding. This ulcer has gone untreated in order to allot more funds for Nour’s ongoing nebulizer treatments, but it has progressed to the point of literally debilitating pain and serious complications. Let’s raise the cost of treatment ASAP so Nour can continue nebulizer treatments and Noha can live her life again!!

Dear friends of Palestine, friends of Gaza and friends of my family in Gaza!
FINALLY!!! We are at 99% of our goal in our campaign to evacuate the living hell of Gaza and rebuild our life in Ireland!
While people post Eid outfits, food, and family photos, my family in Gaza is trying to survive another day of bombs, hunger, fear, and unbearable heat.
There is NO safe place left in Gaza.
The bombardment continues every single day.
The explosions never stop.
And now summer has turned the tents they live in into literal ovens.
Imagine trying to sleep inside plastic and fabric under a burning sky while drones and airstrikes continue around you.
This is NOT a temporary hardship.
My family has lived through this nightmare for more than two years.
Two years of displacement.
Two years of terror.
Two years of watching their lives collapse piece by piece.
I am in Ireland, studying and trying to build a future, while every day I fear getting the phone call that my family did not survive the night.
We have already come such a long way thanks to the incredible support from friends of Gaza and Palestine around the world. Truly, we would never have made it this far without you.
And now we are VERY close to reaching our final goal.
Our only goal is to evacuate my entire family from Gaza to Egypt temporarily, and then reunite safely together in Ireland.
Please do NOT abandon Gaza and my family because the headlines got quieter.
Please don’t stop caring because the world moved on.
