Phone has been off for three days, haven't been replying to emails and messages, now having to reply and call back all those missed calls. I can assure everyone, I am in fact not dead. It's just pre-exam week.

I was aiming for that house, surprisingly I got put into Gryffindor for some odd reason.

Pedestrians in Miami are absolutely crazy. Stop for a moment, take a deep breath, and continue on. Not every car is trying to run you over.

I can guarantee you, it's not only Miami. Though, I'd say unlike Oxford, they do get a bit more miffed when you spot them.

Is it acceptable to not go to work because you wanna stay home and watch movies?

You might want to hold onto that penny, Noah. I was so out of it this morning, I ended up at the wrong class, and I didn't even notice until they started spewing things about Shakespeare that I knew I wasn't in my Civil Law class.

I'm a bit hard to impress when it comes to sweets, but I hope I'm not disappointed.

I love chocolate, honestly. Doesn’t compare to what they’ve got back home, but Hershey’s Kisses are an absolute must. How does tomorrow sound?

Surprisingly enough, I've never actually had a Hershey Kiss yet, I've heard a lot about them though. Tomorrow sounds superb.

Is it? Perfect. I’m going to warn you, I’ll bring an absolute abundance of snacks, I like to eat while I’m studying, it sort of keeps me focused. This all sounds very lovely, though. When shall we begin?

You'd be by far the best study buddy then. I'm usually all about the chocolate most of the time, they help me get through term. Well, we can begin whenever you'd like, really.

Well, that’s certainly not a bad thing, is it? If you’d ever like a study buddy, I’m open. Not that we’re taking nearly the same courses, but I’m a great person to study with. I’m quiet and I provide snacks.

Lucky for you, the position for study buddy is open and looking to be filled. Ooh, but you won me over with the snacks. We can be each other's motivation to get some work done and be productive.

Sorry to hear that. Did you ever turn in that paper you were fretting over a few weeks ago? It’s only been a few days, my dear, but it’s nice to know that you consider that to be ‘quite some time’. I’ve been wonderful, just studying like mad for a midterm I have on Thursday.

Yeah, haven't got the grade back yet but I'm in high hopes about it. I got quite used to talking to you, I suppose. Ooh, are exams are around the corner and I haven't gotten anywhere near my textbooks as much as I like.

Where’s the rain, and the chilly weather? Undoubtedly, Miami rains much more often than I would have expected, but it’s always more of a humid downpour, than anything else. 

Anyway — how have you been, Amelia?

Unfortunately that kind of weather is back at home. I've been rather well, for some time they gave us mountains of work but recently they've given us some time to relax. How're you? It's been quite some time since we've last spoken.

I always seem to forget that Autumn in Miami isn’t the same as Autumn in England.

You aren't the only one, it seems we're on the same boat.

Yeah, I don’t know why because I don’t even like them.

Perhaps you're just hungry? I know when I am, I can eat practically anything. Food is food, it's pretty darn good either way when you're famished.

I’m craving jalapenos and I don’t know why.

That's a rather odd craving, you're craving just jalapenos? I didn't know you could eat it just by itself, doesn't sound very good either.
