SPONGEBOB ASEXUAL VISIBILITY :D
Straights.
U know I just watched a straight guy go to a yaoi Cafe and read yaoi. And a straight guy rate anime men he would sleep with and took a seme-uke test. And you know I just love how Connor and Joey are so comfortable with their sexuality as a straight person. Comfortable straight vibes...haven’t seen those in a while,,,I mean people say guys who like masculine guys are gay so I can’t really say much...
BUT, there’s a part of the straight population who love to say “no homo” every two seconds and have a user like [insert user’s name]isnotgay...like u okay dude??? Your hetereosexuality seems a bit fragile...
And no, this doesn't apply to non-hetero people because they need validation a society that they are not a norm in, and therefore pride parades and rainbow shit are absolutely fine for the sake of more visibility.Â
ANYWAYS onto—questioning someone's sexuality. Um...don't do it, it's not your place to do so, please don't do it,,, it sucks ass. If someone says they're straight, they're straight. And if someone says they're any other sexuality, they are that sexuality. And if they don't want to tell you their sexuality shut up and leave it.
Sepcifically for people who haven't come out, whether to themselves or to others. Coming out to yourself is pretty hard and there's a lot of denial sometimes but that doesn't mean you should force someone to realize that they are not straight because um, that's not your place to do so...and they could actually be straight. And coming out to others depends on whether they feel comfortable enough in their situation, do they trust these people, and is it dangerous because of homophobic assholes, ect. There are many reasons someone could hide their sexuality, forcing them to tell you or others is really mean. Outing is also unacceptable, someone telling you their gender, sexuality, or ammority is generally them putting their trust in you and it’s not your place to tell other people without their permission,,,and wow don’t even mention being introduced as “the gay person,” like shut your trap Karen.
Next, straight passing. I admit, I pass as both straight and cisgender which is obviously invalidating, but I acknowledge that I benefit from the fact that I've never been openly harassed because of my queerness.Â
also, Spongebob is confirmed asexual, and that is so damn cute.Â
