Grandad tells me the doors in the house date back to between 1890 and 1910. At the time doors were handmade with moulded panels that had ridges on the top edges and a flat slanted surface on the lower edges to keep dust from settling. Seems mundane but I have been thinking a lot about the thoughtfulness and care of the design. Small things to appreciate here and there
