Nimue had been around for countless battles. He remembered being young and watching Camelot go down in flames. Unable to stop it, he had sworn heâd find a way to make sure another Camelot wouldnât happen again. That was why it was so important to make sure these things stayed dead in the ground where they belonged. These creatures were of something terrible these days. Like someone was bringing them back to fight everyone and everything in its wake. Almost like vengeance. A dark powerful thing driving them to kill.
âThese things donât stay in the ground for long my dear.â The magical being stood solid as he watched it moving. âYou must trust me here, this thing has killed many. Ones who had wronged him, and he has hurt those who got in itâs way.â He took a deep breath before grabbing a vial out of his pocket. âPrepare.â Shaking the vial in his hand, he threw it forward creating a smoke barricade as he spoke under his breath in Latin. Making a barrier appear around them and the grave yard. âWe cannot let him out. There are still some who did not Parrish in his wake.â
dealing with traitors, inhumans, and the like seemed to only scratch the surface of the world that was out there. of course dai knew things like asgardians and amazonians existed but it felt like there was always something new coming out of the woodwork and making dai question everything he had been taught. apparently demonic beings from the pits of hell existed as well who could crawl out of graveyards to attack people.
when dai thought their job was done, it was clear that it wasnât when cracks started to form in the ground that dai had just closed up. it would only be a few moments before the beast would break through again and attack them. âwhat the-â he said as a cloud of smoke created a border between the pair and the beast. âthen how do we defeat it?â
