Pairing: Ganta/Shiro
Theme: first kiss
“Ganta! Shiro found snacks!”
Bounding up to him with two plastic packages that crinkled with her enthusiasm, Shiro’s white hair flounced as she fell to her knees by him. Their picnic had hit a slight bump when ants crawled into their basket and infested everything, so Ganta was trying to find anything left to salvage as Shiro hurried off with the bit of pocket change she had.
“Ah? This is it?” he asked as he took one, looking at Shiro, who had already opened hers and was beginning to eat. A big bite was taken, crumbs falling both into the bag and onto her lap as she nodded; ever since her release from the hospital, the skintight bodysuit had been substituted for a dress and now the looks were mainly for her white hair and red eyes instead of how, at first glance, it seemed she wore nothing.
“It’s good, Ganta!” she promised. “Eat!”
But there were a few crumbs by the corner of her mouth and before he could help it, he leaned in and kissed her. His fingers tangled in her long hair, the palm of his hand against her jaw, and their noses hit for a fleeting second before he remembered to tilt his head.
His own bread was crushed under the grip of his fingers but he didn’t really need it; he could taste the red bean paste from her tongue, but her lack of a reaction was a bit unnerving and so he pulled back, apology ready to tumble out of his lips…
Cheeks red enough to almost match her eyes, Shiro’s hands began waving wildly, pressing to her lips and shaking her head. “G-Ganta kissed Shiro? G-G-Ganta kissed Sh-Shiro!! G-G-G-Ganta kissed–!!”
“W-wait, Shiro, i-if that was b-bad…”
But as soon as it started, her voice fell silent and so did his. Ganta watched her in anticipation. Fingers played with the hem of her dress before she looked up and smiled, cheeks pink and eyes with a slightly glazed look that had his breath hitching.
