When I was a teenager I had a phase where I called soccer football because the rest of the world called it that but eventually my dad told me āYou know, thereās a point where acting smart doesnāt make you smart and just makes you annoying. Damn that final episode of Supernatural got to me. I knew what happened because obviously got spoilers since it aired. But still.
Well I finished my watch through of Supernatural. I did grow up watching Supernatural in my teens so itās been my favourite show for a long time. I just fell behind when it got to season 13. I decided (I canāt remember if it was beginning of this year or end last year) to rewatch it from start to finish. Originally I was only going to watch the first 5 seasons then go back to season 13 where I was up to. Then I changed my mind and watched it fully through because I couldnāt remember much of it. I skipped the bugs episode though. Figured Iād watched it before anyway.
I think itās the characters that makes it so well loved. As well as its original premise and monster of the week episodes. I think when the episodes started revolving around the main plot and there was less random monster of the week episodes (even though they were still there) thatās when it got a bit idk I just liked how they did the first few seasons. So itās the characters and the brothersā bond and the family aspect thatās the heart of the show. And you like the characters so much you stick with it.
First 5 seasons are the best. I really disliked the Amara Dean thing. I think the darkness season wasnāt great. I canāt even tell you what season 8 and 9 are specifically about. I canāt remember even after recently watching them. Metatron maybe. Idk
But I still love supernatural. I think for me itās because I like the characters. Dean was my favourite then Cas.

I live in Australia and watching Europe have massive heatwaves and remembering how last summer we had 42 degree Celsius temps (where I live doesnāt normally reach 42) is scary. Itās winter for me right now and it has taken so long to get cold. Autumn wasnāt really cold at all. I was wearing shorts into April and barely needed a jumper even in May. I canāt imagine how hot summer this year is going to be. š¬
Climate change is real and worrying. Itās so scary how hot itās going to get. Stay safe if you are experiencing heatwaves right now.
Whenever they gave us one of those "read through ALL the instructions before you begin!" trick assignments in school where the steps lead you on an increasingly ridiculous goose chase until the final one tells you to just put your name on the paper and turn it in without doing anything else, I was always like, "Okay, but what's the point? Surely the REAL world won't be anything like this." And then I grew up and discovered that not only is the real world often exactly like that, some people won't even read the first line of the instructions even if they make perfect sense. And these people are called "co-workers"
okay but the thing that STILL pisses me off about those is
THE INSTRUCTIONS END WHERE THE NUMBERED PROBLEMS OR QUESTIONS START. THOSE ARE NO LONGER INSTRUCTIONS.
Iām confused. Isnāt it clear that the blue circle bit is instructions and the ones in purple are what you have to underline the adjective in?

Also a whole lot of people need it to hold down a job or stay in school regardless of reproductive risk: it offers menstrual control. It can be the difference between debilitating, bedbound periods and normal function. Itās medicine. Itās also very cheap to produce and returns soooo many thousands of dollars to the economy for every dollar it costs, so donāt let anyone make a false financial argument about it.
I am very worried about the future of Australia right now. Seeing a certain group get popular is terrifying. I donāt want our country headed down the same path as other places. I donāt want racist policies. I donāt want to lose pay or lose my rights both in the workforce and because of my gender. I donāt want others losing their rights because of their race, disability, gender, etc.
I am scared and anxious. And I donāt feel like anything I do will matter
We've gotta keep our heads up and fight the good fight. There really isn't any other way, we have to stick together and beat the fascists. We'll get through this, I know it.
I hope so. It seems no matter what you tell people they just ignore it and decide to vote for her anyway. It doesnāt even matter her voting history or the things she says clear as day to our faces. Last election it seemed people very clearly didnāt want those type of politics and now it looks the opposite. Kinda hard to keep faith. But then Iām an anxious person and always see the negative.
Itās harder to undo it all. Would be much better if we never go down that path. Why is the world getting so bad? It seems it goes in cycles. It falls one way and gets better then it starts going down again.
But I hope good prevails in the end

You put ice cream in a glass and pour soft drink over it. It creates a thick layer of delicious foam on top of a sweet, creamy drink with ice cream in it.
And yes I did attempt to get a picture by googling āAustralia spiderā like a fucking moron.
I think thatās called a float in the states. Although we usually plop the icecream into the glass after the soda. Similar effect though.
We wouldnāt be able to call it that because the word is way too easy to confuse with a floater, which is a meat pie floating in a bowl of pea soup. It is every bit as delicious as a spider though. I should get some pies and pea soup.
I would like to announce that this is not a standard Australian food, itās exclusively a South Australian one and the rest of Australia is just as appalled as the rest of the world.
Itās not our fault that the rest of Australia is incorrect about food.
