Just a small blog about my crocheted things, or amigurumi. Most of my crochet-work are of my own designs. Thank you for visiting but I am no longer active on this blog.
About how long does it take to crochet an Avenger?
Hello! Sorry it took me a while to answer. I never use tumblr web and mobile isn't the best at question notifications. Well it depends on the Avenger. I remember crocheting the Captain America doll in an afternoon while binging tv shows. I want to say 4-8 hours, but it does depend on your skill. Happy crocheting!
Hello, thankyou for all your patterns. I love everyone. Sorry for my english, I don't speak ver very well. I have doubts for the Bilbo's hair. You put each strand and later you cut the hair whit the look?
Hello! Yup, just make sure to pull the strands apart to get the curly look! Let me know if you still have questions!
Hello, I've been working on the bilbo pattern and i am stuck on his coat. Do you have any tips for me? More specifically, I'm stuck starting on his right sleeve on. Thank you for any help you can give!
Hello anon, have you checked out my sleeve tutorial? http://amiguru.tumblr.com/post/42425463403/sleeve-tutorialLet me know if you're still having trouble!
Moving onto Howl’s Moving Castle of the Ghibli pattern throwbacks, here’s The Howl pattern I made two years ago I think? His main body, not too difficult, but that coat though.
Continuing with the Ghibli theme, throwing it back to the Kiki doll I made a couple years ago. I think at the time I also wanted to make a Jiji but I never got around to it. Maybe one day.
Wow how nostalgic. This is a DS case which I posted a pattern for exactly 4 years ago. I actually didn’t know when I posted this pattern but I wanted to queue up some older patterns to keep this blog a bit more alive and thought this one would be a good one to start with. I checked the date I posted it and wow exactly 4 years ago. It was fate. Anyways, what has happened in the 4 years is that DS’s have been replaced by 3DS’s and I’m sure the regular-sized 3DS will fit this, but I’m not entirely sure about a 3DS XL. Yarn can be stretchy so it might fit. Definitely not a 2DS though.
So on my blog theme there is a little navbar on the right with one of the buttons linking to a page with all my patterns, but tumblr mobile doesn’t like custom pages so I understand it is difficult for mobile users to see an entire list of all my patterns, so I’ve made this post here. I’ll try to keep this updated and reblog it whenever it starts getting buried, but hopefully it works out for those of you who like to use the tumblr app.Â
Happy New Year!! Now that all of the patterns are out I will be messaging the winners to discuss getting the original doll of the pattern they requested. If you've changed your user since September/October and one of your requests was a winner, please message me because I don't have a good way of contacting you myself. No one had a duplicate request so if you see yours, it's yours. Just message me with the url you had in September just so I can check.
Amiguru’s Seven Days of Patterns - Day 7: Rose Quartz (Steven Universe)
Day 7, and the last day, of my Fourth Seven Days of Patterns is Rose Quartz from Steven Universe! I’m glad I gave myself a few extra hours to figure out her curls because they took awhile to make and sew on. I wasn’t even sure if making curlicues would work out well but I’m glad they did. The hair was definitely the most fun. Keep reading for the pattern, and let me know if you have any questions.

Big Curls (make 4)
Using Pink
R1: Ch 24, DC in 4th ch from hook, 2 DC in same ch, 3 DC in each chain across

Using Pink
R1: Ch 14, HDC in 3rd ch from hook, 2 HDC in same ch, 3 HDC in each ch across
Fasten off.
Small Curls (make 2)
Using Pink
R1: Ch 11, SC in 2nd ch from hook, 2 SC in next ch, *1 SC in next ch, 2 SC in next ch* repeat across
Fasten off.
Longer Bang Curl
Using Pink
R1: Ch 7, SC in 2nd ch from hook, 2 SC in next ch, *1 SC in next ch, 2 SC in next ch* repeat across

Shorter Bang Curl
Using Pink
R1: Ch 6, SC in 2nd ch from hook, 2 SC in next ch, 1 SC in next ch, 2 SC in next ch, 1 SC in next ch
Fasten off.
Putting her together
On the body, whipstitch on a star pattern with a gem in it using Light Pink and Pink yarn. Stuff pieces appropriately and then attach the head to the body, then the legs, and then the arms. For her hair, I put three medium curls as the bottom layer, with the 4 big curls on top of them, then the other 2 medium curls go on the sides of her face, and then the short curls are the sides of her bangs, then the longer bang curl comes before the shorter one. I would pin in place first to see how it looks before sewing on.

Putting her together
Sew the dress skirt to the body, then whipstitch the criss-cross up the front of the body. After stuffing the parts appropriately, attach the head to the body, then the legs, and then the arms.
Hair
I used a piece of cardboard about 8 inches or 20 cm long and wrapped the Yellow yarn around it to make a lot of strands the same length. If you would like her hair to be longer, you are more than welcome to. Using a smaller hook, attach hair by inserting hook into a stitch in the head where you want the strand to come from, fold the strand in half and pull it through the stitch, take the ends of the strand and thread it through the hole made at the loop and pull. If you have never done this before, please check out my Hair Tutorial. I’ve specifically designed the head to give you a guide as to where the hair should be and to hide any potential bald spots. This doesn’t mean you need to put hair in every Yellow stitch on the head. For Rapunzel, I parted her hair on the right (her right) and attached the hair mostly just at the top of her head. Her hair is long enough to not need much at the bottom.

Putting him together
After stuffing the parts appropriately, attach the head to the body, then the legs, then the arms, and then the nose. Sew the waist wrap to the body. After doing the hair (next section), I sewed the hat to the head as it didn’t stay put but itself. Cut the eyes out with the red felt and glue them on.
Hair
I used a piece of cardboard about 4 inches or 10 cm long and wrapped the Yellow yarn around it to make a lot of strands the same length. This is longer than it needs to be, but you can cut and trim later. For the back of Deku Link’s head, I did about every other row.

Curl Rows 5-14 from the sleeve part to make the sleeve and sew to the bottom and middle part. This might be a bit weird, so if you are having trouble, please refer to my jacket sleeve tutorial.
Whipstitch on the Survey Corps symbol on the back using White and Dark Blue Yarn. I stitched the frame first, then the blue wings, then the white wings. For the symbol on the front left, I just whipstitched a white square, but you are more than welcome to trying to stitch on the actual symbol with some embroidery thread or something.
Putting him together
After stuffing the parts appropriately, attach the head to the body, then the legs, and then the arms. He can have the jacket either on or off.
Hair
I used a piece of cardboard about 4 inches or 10 cm long and wrapped the Cornmeal yarn around it to make a lot of strands the same length. This is longer than it needs to be, but you can cut and trim later. This doesn’t mean you need to put hair in every Cornmeal stitch on the head. For the back of Armin’s head, I did about every other row.
Amiguru’s Seven Days of Patterns - Day 2: Vaporeon (Pokemon)
The second day is here! Today is the water eeveelution, Vaporeon! This guy was a bit of a challenge, since I’m still trying to figure out non-humanoids, but I’m pretty proud of the result. I would love to do the rest of the eeveelutions someday but we’ll see. Please keep reading for the pattern and as usual, let me know if you have any questions!

Fasten off. After making 2, take the Dark Blue yarn, and SC in the edge of R5-R7 and above R7, putting 2 SC in the outer corner SC. Do this for both. To keep things consistent, I would start at the R5 edge for the right ear, and the corner piece for the left ear, so the Dark Blue stitches are both facing the right side.
Top Fin

R5: *1 SC in next 2 SC, DEC over next 2 SC* twice (6)
R6: *1 SC in next 1 SC, DEC over next 2 SC* twice (4)
Fasten off.
Before doing the back fins, I sewed the collar onto the body, and then the head. I crocheted the back fin directly on the body after this, starting at the tail.
Back Fin
Using Dark Blue
R1: SC up the middle line of the body’s back. I got 18 SC here, ch and turn (18)
R2: *slip stitch in next SC, ch 1, DC in next SC, ch 1, slip stitch in next SC* six times
Fasten off.
Putting Vaporeon Together
If you followed my recommendation, the collar and head are already sewn onto the head. From here, sew the legs, then the tail fins, then the ears and top fin onto the head.

Pant Legs and Body
Starting with Dark Green
R1: Ch 11, slip stitch in first Ch to make a circle
R2: Ch 1, SC around (I like to SC in the nub that’s in the back of the chain, but this is not necessary, you can just SC where you would normally) (11)
R3: SC around (11)
If that was the first pant leg, fasten off, and then repeat for the second pant leg, and then continue.
In this next round, slip the legs into the pant legs, and while you are SC-ing, put the hook through the pant leg AND leg, to attach them.
R4: 1 SC in the next 3 SC, then SC in a SC the other pant leg, joining them, and then SC in the next 8 SC, SC in the first pant leg 6 SC behind where you started off the round, and then 1 SC in each SC (18)
R5-R6: SC around (18)
Switch to Black
R7-R9: SC around (18)
R10: 1 SC in next 7 SC; switch to Yellow, 1 SC in next 1 SC; switch to Black, 1 SC in next 8 SC; switch to Yellow, 1 SC in next 1 SC; switch to Black, 1 SC in next 1 SC (18)
R11: 1 SC in next 6 SC; switch to Yellow, 1 SC in next 3 SC; switch to Black, 1 SC in next 6 SC; switch to Yellow, 1 SC in next 3 SC
R12: 1 SC in next 2 SC, DEC over next 2 SC, 1 SC in next 4 SC, DEC over next 2 SC; switch to Aran, 1 SC in next 4 SC IN BACK LOOPS ONLY; switch to Yellow, DEC over next 2 SC, 1 SC in next 2 SC (15)
Fasten off.
Take the Yellow yarn and attach it to your hook. Attach it to one side of the front loops sticking out from R12 and 1 SC in next 2 front loops. Fasten off. Take the white yarn again and attach it to your hook. Attach to the next front loop and 1 SC in that loop and the next front loop. Sew the outside sides of these two to the Yellow part of the body so it looks like the collar of the jacket.
Use some white yarn to whipstitch the details of the jacket like the pockets.
Make sure to sew together the crotch area so the stuffing won’t show through. Weave in loose ends. Â
Arms (make 2)
Starting with Aran
R1: 6 SC in a magic circle (6)
Switch to Yellow
R2-R6: SC around (6)
Fasten off. With some Red yarn, whipstitch the outline the cuff of the sleeve.
Putting him together
After stuffing the parts appropriately, attach the head to the body, and then the arms to the body. The legs should already be attached to the pants.
Hair
I used a piece of cardboard about 4 inches or 10 cm long and wrapped the Pumpkin yarn around it to make a lot of strands the same length. This is longer than it needs to be, but you can cut and trim later. This doesn’t mean you need to put hair in every Pumpkin stitch on the head, but as Hide’s hair is short, I put hair in almost every stitch.
