Hansry AU... again
Hey guys, here again with czech fairy tale Hansry AU. Because it's Christmas already and there are many fairy tales on TV. This time, it's an AU of "The Proud Princess". A czech classic made in 1952! I like to watch it with my family every year and there are many quotes we use to this day.
A quick summary: It's a fairy tale about the proud princess Krasomila, who refused to marry King Miroslav. However, he did not let this go and disguised himself as a gardener and entered the service of her castle. With work and love, he repaired the princess's pride, but first, he grew a singing flower for her. And it was not so easy in the Midnight Kingdom - thanks to treacherous advisors, the king banned singing in his entire country. Before everything turned out well, King Miroslav and Princess Krasomila had to flee the castle, hiding among ordinary people along the way, and this opened up even more things to the princess that she had no idea about before. (Yes, I copied it from ČSFD, I'm too lazy)
Now, why did I decided to write about this? (Instead of college seminary paper). Because why not, I love Hansry AND czech fairy tale movies. I will again use only some elements of the movie.
The AU:
Henry is a blacksmith (wow) and came to Rattay to look for work. He finds one and meets a dashing handsome young man, Hans. But this man is selfish and proud (I think we can agree that Hans was a brat at the start of the game).
They do not start at a good note. They even get into a fight after Henry insults Hans. However, despite this, Hans still takes interest in Henry. He goes to bother him everyday, makes him do random tasks (Zavaž mi střevíček!) and makes fun of him. Later, Henry realizes, that Hans is actually a very good person, deep inside. He wants to get rid of Hans' pride.
He searches for a magical flower, that only blooms when with kind people and wilts when with proud people. The flower also plays a song (Rozvíjej se poupátko - blossom, my flower). He gifts it to Hans and tells him about the flower but the noble only makes fun of him. However, he still takes it with him. The next day Hans wakes up, the flower is withered. After it doesn't bloom for days, he is sad and goes to Henry. A few weeks go by, and Hans starts to change. Also he spends more time with Henry (you know, flirting, hunting together, hanging out...)
One morning he wakes up, the flower is fully bloomed and sings the song. He excitedly runs to Henry and shows him the flower. There, they also realize their feelings for each other.
Later, because of an soldier attack (or something), they need to leave Rattay and live among poor, ordinary people for some time, which gives Hans a new perspective.
They they return and Hans declares he wants to stay forever with Henry and we have our happily ever after!
I know it's crazy and even weird, but I needed to share it. Please don't kill me for this!
