This was the first time in Masaâs life when he was able to eat whatever he wanted without anybody getting onto him. With this advantage, Masa treated himself to a pot of pasta! He hadnât planned ahead for how much heâd be able to handle though, and instead ended up with half a potâs worth of left over pasta. He rattled through all the cabinets, looking for some kind of cellophane wrap so he could store the left overs in the fridge for anybody who would later come along in search of a meal. After a few minutes of searching, Masa eventually found the wrap underneath some sandwich bags in the bottom cabinet. He neatly wrapped the bowl of left over pasta and placed it in the fridge and set to work with cleaning up the pot he used, as well as any other mess he made.
Content with the spotless kitchen and his full stomach, Masa turned and began joyfully skipping towards the exit. The day was off to a good start! He had a feeling that nothing could possibly go wrong. He could go and spend some time playing in the park now, or he could go visit with some of the animals in the village, or maybe even make a new friend out of one of his fellow classmates!
Just as Masa burst out of the kitchen and into the corridor, he very nearly ran smack dab into another student!
âOh!â The aromatherapist stopped in his tracks and nearly fell as he threw his arms out to keep his balance. He wobbled, but remained standing. It would have been embarrassing to fall right in front of this person, but at least it wasnât as bad as actually slamming into them!
The boy looked up and realized that he had never talked to this student before. He recognized him from the trial, and from the IDs- this was the lawyer! âS-Sorry about almost running into you there! I should have been paying more attention to where I was going.â he murmured as he bowed apologetically.Â
Norio truthfully wasnât very hungry. No more than anything, he was bored and curious. There was a long list of students he hadnât talked to quite yet and tedious, annoying tasks he had to perform for currency. He knew a game was being played by the puppeteer. He didnât want to be played. He didnât want to be manipulated and ordered around like mindless toy. So for now, he started off small. He started off weighing his options, his peers, and his duties. Starting with this small student.Â
He did his best to hold tongue back. Instead, he needed to tap into his charismatic nature. His craftsmanship with words was to be feared. It was more his talent than law.Â
âYano, correct?â he replied. He straightened himself up so that his posture and height allowed to appear like he was towering over the individual before him. He waved way their collision with his hand, gesturing Masa not to worry about it. âAm I keeping you from something?â
