@amirkader
sorry guys, I've been on vacation all week and haven't been able to log on until now... I'm back now though!
"I’ve been good." She speaks, a little hurt by his way of speaking towards her knowing she had no right. "Um… could we speak over coffee? Or something. I mean… if you’d like. "
"Yeah coffee sounds amazing, uh, any chance you can drive? I have to call in a sick day, and my car," he replied, still a little off-put.
"I’ve missed you too." She spoke sincerely, she just never expected to ever see him again. She didn’t know how to feel, or what to do. "A lot. You don’t look like you’ve changed much. How have you been?"
Amir swallowed. How was he even supposed to chat with her casually after all these years. "Fine. Tired, I've been working more. You?" He didn't mean to sound so curt, it just happened.
"I’m all for either one. Or we can just kill two birds with one stone and drink while watching the movie. " Keira smiled in return, leaning back against the small chair she was seated at — an amused smile on her own face. "You’re kidding me, right?."
"Us men don't watch girl movies like that," Amir puffed out his chest and flexed. "I'm all for seeing the SpongeBob movie though."
"I’m sorry." Naigyn said, because there was nothing else that she really could say. Nothing to make him understand, just like Minah. What was she supposed to say? "You look good." She spoke, giving him a look.
Amir stared for a moment. She seemed so calm, did she even miss him? He took a breath and replied softly, "You too. God, I missed you." He wanted to slap his forehead for being so blunt and awkward.
"Um I had to… I couldn’t stay, despite it all. I just couldn’t… I’m sorry. I should have found a way to tell you I was alright." She had missed him so much. It’s felt like she hasn’t seen him in eons.
"You couldn't have called or something? I thought someone took you! Shit, I thought you were dead!" Amir exclaimed. Emotions bubbled up in his stomach, making him nauseous.
"…" Naigyn simply stared. This was not going to be good. Two people she had never thought she would ever come across again. Both in this small town that she hated so much…"Amir. Uh… hi."
"Sh-Shit I thought- I thought some thing happened to you, you just left! You didn't even say goodbye or anything, God. I was so freaked. What are you doing back here?" Amir babbled. He couldn't believe she was back.
"Then perhaps you need a new car." Naigyn spoke bluntly, then said, "Do you have one of those black and red wire things that allows your car to be turned on by my car?" Whatever those things are called, she thought.
"Well, if I had the money I would. Jumper cables? I-" Amir stiffened. He recognized the voice. No way. He met the girl's eyes and gave a slight gasp. "Naigyn?"
"Hey, are you okay?" Mikah said, jumping out from her own vechile as she eyed the man before her. "Do you need some help or somethin’?"
"Help would be great, do you have an extra car I can buy for dirt cheap? This one's all burnt out I think," Amir sighed, kicking the tire.
Saphira got out of her car and made her way over to the man. Usually she’d just continue driving, but for the sake of the holiday she decide to be nice for once. It looked like the man needed the help anyways. “Havin’ some car troubles, eh?”
"Unfortunately... You wouldn't happen to be an expert on cars, are you?" Amir asked, only half-joking.
"You alright there?" Naigyn spoke to the man she’d stopped next to. His car did not look in good shape.
"Obviously not," Amir snapped, then sighed. "Sorry, this is like the third time it's done that this week, it's driving me insane!"
"Yeah, but clearly the girl you stalked wasn’t much of a fan of it — hypothetically speaking, of course. Christian Grey’s girlfriend didn’t mind it, so as long as she was fine with it then that’s all that matters." She mused, letting out a laugh as she looked at him. "—- You seemed a whole lot funner to talk to when I was drunk. Did you know that?"
"Harsh, maybe we should head back to the bar then. Unless you'd rather go see the movie again. Maybe I'd understand more if I saw it," Amir cracked a smile. "It would kill my reputation to be seen in there though."
"God damn it," Amir swore, slamming a fist down on the hood of his old car. "You can't break now, move!" It was no use. His car had broken down and there was no fixing it now. He needed to get to work, he couldn't afford to be late. He saw a car pull on the side of the road next to his. Maybe they could help.
”Woah — when did I ever say I wanted it? I just stated that they had a lot of fun in the bedroom. I’ve learned from experience about slandering things I’ve never tried, so I don’t talk shit about it. And with the way Anastasia acted? She loved it — Obviously —so there was clearly no issue on her part. Which is why I don’t get why you’re being extremely judgemental about it.”
"Hmph, I don't understand girls. If I tracked a girl's phone, stalked her, then beat her, I'd be arrested. I guess it's just not for everyone," Amir scoffed. "I guess I can't truly judge until I read the book."
"Trash? Don’t hate because your sex life — if you have one — isn’t all that exciting.”
"You'd want to get tied up and beat? What's the fun in that? Excitement doesn't make me get bruises and cuts. You'd really let someone do that to you?"
"It doesn’t matter how hot I said Jamie Doran is, I still think Charlie Hunnam would’ve been the perfect Christian Grey. Have you seen him? That man can definitely cuff me and throw away the key if he wants because, damn.”
"You read that trash?" Amir questioned, wrinkiling his nose. "That shit's borderline domestic abuse."
"Are you kidding me? You looked like you were about to cough out a lung, Amir." Keira remarked, rolling her eyes just a bit before looking at him. "I bet a child could handle that better than what you just did. You don’t have to be ashamed though. There’s a bunch of guys who can’t, so you’re not alone. Why don’t we just get you one of those girly drinks, huh? I’m sure you’d like them much better. And if anyone makes fun of you, just tell them you’re on a strick fruity diet. I’m sure they’d understand." The female went on, not caring about whether or not the words coming out of her mouth made sense. "Here, I’ll flag down one of the other bartenders and have them make it for you — with a ‘lil extra juice to be on the safe side."
"Did not! I have allergies," he lied. "I'll try one of those fruity drinks though," he quickly added. "You're starting to babble. Maybe you should slow down for a little while." Amir smiled at the girl.
