Applying to some grants today and got curious about the search results for my essay "Black Woman (Unintentionally) in Tech", which was part of a group art show in NYC in 2023 about tech and marginalization. None of that info comes up with Google's ai results, despite this essay living on the We Refuse, We Want, We Commit art show website.

What does come up is this description credited to a Lyle, a cool (notably) white friend who was kind enough to share it on twitter when I was promoting the show. Not that I need to prove it or anything, but he would also agree he doesn't deserve this attribution

Being erased in relationship to this specific essay is hilarious 😑

Just a reminder how thin these advertised tech promises are (which is extra funny given the last line)
